This is cool! If I could afford to take time off my job, I'd seriously consider doing this! Didn't know you were in Chicago, I moved to San Antonio from just south of Chicago (Kankakee) 23 years ago. All your videos have really got me intrigued by this today. I consider myself very crafty, and an artist already, so I'm sure I could pick this up real quick. Been doing automotive collision work for 48 years (and did a couple custom paint jobs in that time too), building custom model cars and even smaller diecast cars for 35 years or so. I already know airbrushes (actually have 2 or 3 in the closet that I haven't used in a while), I have used stencils on many occasions, and I actually started building 3 and 4 string cigar box guitars around early 2020 (already sold a few). And, I also have the ability to print out my own decals for the model cars and diecast cars on my computer. Don't have a real wild program to print with, but it's a simple one and gets the job done. Might consider this for sometime in the future though! :)

Is there any big difference between ebernon low and af1 for coloring
Yes the ebernon lows use a lesser quality leather. So although theyre fine to practice, they wont hold up as well

I have a question. I want to customize my first pair of air force 1s, just paint some solid color. However the pair I want to paint are solid white but have texture, like snake skin. Do you see any reason I shouldn't do it?
All shoes can be painted
Yes the paint will flake off very easily on the snakeskin unfortunately. There was a pair of women’s jordan 1s from a couple years back that many people experienced cracking and peeling with.. the material might have some odd rubbery or plastic coating that prevents the paint from sticking well. So just be weary of high creasing areas if you do plan to paint them.
