LT Bobstertronus i can understand em both just fine, amon amarth is pretty low when it comes to deep growls in the singing in comparison to most death metal bands.

Sabaton’s cover is basically the same tempo as the Amon Amarth Original, the only part where it’s noticeably different is when they say Twilight of the Thunder God X4 the last one Sabaton screams fast, while Amon Amarth growls slowly at that part, but nonetheless, it sounds almost like one song.

Rage of Light has a pretty good cover version, too. Amon Amarth's is probably the best, but each one brings something good to the table.
Something about about the melding of the two voices in the chorus makes me feel genuinely emotional.

Listen to Charles Mingus, the jazz artist. He loved multiple simultaneous solos like that, taking from old New Orleans jazz traditions but mixing in the newer sounds (at the time, talking about the 50s and 60s) of bebop and hard bop that were harder edged and more experimental.
He's both the most metal of the old jazz guys (he was the *angry man* of jazz) and one of the most fun to listen to. Check out Haitian Fight Song.

Edit: A few months later and how life has changed. Never could I have imagined I'd ever be a damn metalhead when I first heard this, but now I am. This song in particular contributed to that a bunch. Also, Amon Amarth is now my favourite band. How influential this song has been for me....

Sabaton especially tooken a like to me, Par, Joakim and Chris seemed to be the bulk of my pictures in that concert for Sabaton lol And Par just had a big smile seeing me.. Thank god for my Sabaton flag and a major migraine and hurt neck! :D And the crowd for Pursuit of Vikings was the best first time I've heard and even Johan Hegg said the same! Best show ever..
