Great comprehensive review with some very useful B-roll of the jackets on the actual body too. Perfectly done, thank you. Fjallraven wins this one for me.

The cord on the pocket on Fjällraven is meant for suorinta the jacket. You can Filip that posket out and push the while jacket inside of that posket. The cord loop will stay out and you can hook it up to you backbag etc.

I prefer the Fjallraven as the front of the hood comes high up the face, thus it gives more protection from the wind chill.

I just bought the Fjallraven expedition pack down hoodie at REI. I wanted the RAB mythic G with 1000 fill down but they didn’t have them in stock. Are you going to review the RAB mythic G. I would buy that one also if it had a good review. You did a great video review. Keep up the great work.

Which of the two has more durable outer fabric? I hate puffer jackets with paper thin outer fabric... Any other jackets with thick and durable outer material? Thanks for the review.

Wondering if you can tell me what the inside of the pockets are lined with? Same material as the outside of the jacket or is it some sort of micro fleece like is around the collar? (I personally despise that micro fiber fleece fabric like is used around the collar, it seems to be very "catchy" on my rough hands or in a beard)

HEI, HEI! Имею Fjällräven pack down точно в таком цвете Deep Forest.. что я могу о ней сказать, у меня не очень хорошее мнение о ней... Когда ее носить.. То в ней жарко, то холодно. Для какой температуры она предназначена.. Fjällräven умалчивают об этом...

Yet no comment that the zippers are the opposite of the North American men's standard. Why no comment, because you don't want to make either company angry? Both great jackets but the opposite zipper is a deal breaker.

      @@AndrewHillis-k9l
The amount of loft that the down is providing is a good factor in determining how warm a down jacket will be. To determine the amount of loft you would use the calculation of Fill Power (FP) x Fill Weight. Fill Power is the quality of down, and Fill Weight is how much of that down is being used in the jacket. 800FP means that one ounce of that down will provide 800 cubic inches of loft. Loft (or puffiness) is what's really providing the insulation factor.
The Rab Electron Pro is 800fp x 6.7oz of down = 5,360 cubic inches of loft. The Fjallraven Expedition Packdown Hoodie is 700fp x 3.88oz = 2,716 cubic inches of loft. The Rab jacket has better quality down, and more of it, which will provide more loft (or "puffiness").
I also think the temperature ranges Backcountry Renegage provided were fairly conservative, but that's a personal thing as he may run hotter/colder than you or I. From personal experience, wearing a Montbell Light Down Jacket (800fp x 4oz) I am good to -15c with a tshirt + lightweight layering piece, while walking at a leisurely pace. If you are looking for a jacket guaranteed to keep you warm at -15c while just standing still, you may want to look for something even warmer. Aim for a down jacket with box baffled/boxwall construction, like the Rab Positron Pro (800fp x 10.6ox).
