This way, the developers had to only ask them to perform only one dance session that must’ve been adapted for more than 34 characters that have different features, so the same dance routine doesn’t look weird. Additionally, the olympic game series have a lower budget in comparison to the main series. It is expensive to hire professional gymnasts to perform different rhythm routines, additionally, each session has to be manually adapted for the huge 34 character roaster.
I love how all of the characters smile when they do this. It shows how much fun they're having.
