Your method for beginners is excellent in the respect that you explain at at a reasonably slow pace. Your method of moving your fingers out of the way so one can see which finger you are using on which fret and string is also extremely helpful. As good as some instructors are on UA-cam, they frequently move very fast and you can’t always tell which finger is is pressing which fret. Also, your tabs and diagrams are helpful. Thanks.

Very nice. GCH.👍.But i had been little bet struggle about the 1st "G major scale pattern.?..why did you use F# notes insted of "F before the octave "G.?.please help me to understand this "G-A-BC-D-E--F#-G.😊😁 😊😁.tnxx and keep it up to sharing .👏👏👏👍👍👍
Good question . . This is because when you talk about any musical instrument the bottom is the pitch, so the the bottom 'E' string is the one with the lowest pitch.
I know my "cowboy" chords but decided I want to learn fingerstyle only. Should I just start right off and practice my scales using fingerstyle technique by assigning each string with a finger? Should I switch my steel string acoustic with a classical style guitar?
You can learn fingerstyle on any guitar. Have you seen my complete fingerstyle course; Book 1 - ua-cam.com/play/PLIQJcXCYbgO2q9hDUBT0E5z1JZDk3bowI.html Book 2 - ua-cam.com/play/PLIQJcXCYbgO1uyExG1qS2puZ6aC11cA-M.html
Great lesson, but can I ask a question. I've been playing the guitar for a month today. I've learned the penatonic scales a 3/7 of the modes and I've come across two other scale diagrams and now these. Looks like there are many scales that can be done, Which are the best ones to learn, and how is this helping other than getting my fingers working across the fret board? Thanks
Can I ask you 2 questions back to answer your question more accurately. What style of music do you want to play? and do you want to understand theory ?
@guitar-academy I am interested in contemporary rock/ jazzy, I don't know much of theory. I've played drums and percussion a long time, so I know about rhythm. However guitar is quite different from all aspects.
@@mabblers Both sets of scales can be used in Jazzy Rock but modes more so. I think you're learning in the right order. Remember you have plenty of time to learn the scales, so just continue on with what you are learning now and then learn the second set of scales in the future. 😊😊
