good idea
Howdy Braquaman! I think the combination of sand and gravel looks awesome! And as you mentioned over time the line between the sand and gravel will blur and look even more natural. Love the driftwood coming down from above the water! It is an awesome focal point. Well done and thanks for sharing 🤠
Great idea
Great idea! I love the combination of sand and gravel
Great look doesn't hurt nobody it really keeps them all happy. Thanks for sharing
I love that idea! I’m setting up a 40 gallon breeder right now. I also want sand for fish that need it, but right now, it’s all black gravel with a caribsea base for plants. Before I add water and plants, I will make room for sand! Can’t wait to try it, thank you!!
Thats one wild community tank bruh. Geophagus with mollys and platys? The geos are best kept in groups but you def dont want a group of geos in there. As that geo grows its going to turn that tank upside down. At my lfs the tank that has geos in it the sand is all pushed up against the sides. Lol
I ended up getting a 220 gallon for the larger cichlids and the 125 has a lot more of the small species in it now.
Brilliant idea, thanks for sharing. You’ve solved a conundrum I’ve been struggling with and preventing me from buying my first ever tank! God bless you 🙏✝️. ✌️🇷🇺☮️🇺🇦✌️. 🙋♀️🤍🇮🇱✌️
I wasn’t sure how this would work out and if the materials would mix. So far, it’s been great after a couple months.
Good to know 🤝
Nice video. Pls can anyone help me. I just got a used 4 foot 90 gallon tank with metal stand. The previous owner said, the tank and stand are just 4 month old. I m a little worried abt the thickness of the metal stand, its just an inch thick which seems a little thin and the tank wobbles on the stand, its without water. I filled the tank with water for a day to check for leaks, luckily no leaks, but it still wobbled a bit. I stay in an apartment in New Jersey with good even flooring. Is the metal stand fine to use?
Commonly sold aquarium stands often seem light weight for what they are holding. It has bothered me before but if it was designed for aquariums it is probably fine
@uncommonaquatics Thanks so much for the advise.
@@elvinsworld11I have been in the same / similar situation with a free stand that most likely was going to be ok but I think it's better to be completely positive. So I had some 2 x 8 boards , cut 4 for the uprights. Then I got Home Depot to cut a piece that I covered the backside with . Then i sanded everything, wiped it off and a few minutes of primer and the next day I finished with a few coats of flat black. Then I got a 4 ' electrical power strip from Harbor freight and a couple magnetic pieces that are perfect for keeping everything organized. All said & done I spent $60.00 but knowing what a 75 gallon weighs plus I live in a 3rd floor Condo with a no pet policy so I don't get complacent when I'm maintaining my 9 aquariums 🤫
@@stoneysscapes7544 Thanks so much for your response. God bless you.
