Hi, thanks a lot for all those videos. And Can u take a video of fixing a microphonic tube? (You said like it Can be fixed with inductive heating). And how is uncle joe?
This might be a stupid question, but I'm going for it anyway lol..If I was to plug in an xlr microphone into that with a good quality transformer connector, would it operate with good quality?
The fundamental purpose of a DI Box is to convert instrument impedance (high) to microphone impedance (low) for connecting an instrument to a mic preamp. Just take the DI out of the picture and plug your mic into your preamp. If you're hoping to get the sound of the DiVision on a microphone, its not going to work very good. Since there is no XLR input on the DiVision, you would have to rig up something. My guess is that would sound a little noisy at best. As for the tone, I can't say exactly. It might be cool depending on the application.
@@LightningBoyAudio I just do weird experiments. I did this with your soul drive pedal and the tone sounds so beautiful with vocals on the 12au7 tube, but the noise kills the vibe. I think the 12au7 would have a smoother tone, but the nuvistor would have less noise..just looking for cheap ways to get a tube mic sound lol.
@@benevolentessence8809 The noise is power supply related with the Soul Drive. A better power adapter will have less noise. Daisy chaining pedals off one power source is guaranteed noise, so hopefully you aren’t doing that. Good luck on your quest.
@@LightningBoyAudio That's true. I had some cheap d'darrio adapters for a few pedals before, and it wasn't too bad on low gain sounds. Then I got a 1 spot daisy chain and it was quieter than the d'darrio's. Now, I feel like investing in a 1 spot isolated power brick. This got me wondering if your isolation transformer can function like the 1 spot isolated power.
Sounds incredible! Can’t wait to get one!
Thanks for your support, Peter! I appreciate it.
Great tone, indeed. It sounds amazing to me. Congratulations, Mike!
Thanks very much!
Just ordered one, this is going to be very helpful for my studio, thanks mate
Thank you!
Can’t wait!
Jeff, you rock. Thanks for the business!
TI Box sounds thicker. I love the TI Box!
Get them while you can.
Couldn’t do it without you. You rock, Trav!

Thanks for watching. I’ll add that video idea to my to do list. Uncle Joe left this world last year. He lived a great long life and is missed.
@@LightningBoyAudio im sorry for your loss, hope he will Rest In Peace.

Nope. Get a supply with isolated outputs and you will be much happier. Noise will be a thing of the past.
