      Fev Ola i do all that already I’m just at the point were I workout everyday on don’t feel sore so I just keep going. I know at some point I’m going to over train and start flirting with the injury line. This channel has helped a lot so that’s why I was asking for some advice.

      I have been doing 100 pushups
      100 situps
      100 reps with dumpbells
      And 20-30 pullups
      Its been a week and i have no problem doing them everyday
      Dont know if im gonna gain or get shredded

    I do 20 of these everyday, even on my rest days, and incorporate three different diamond push ups within my workout. It's only been 2 weeks that I'm doing them every day, but I already feel stronger, and can do a lot more than I was able to 2 wks ago..Great video as usual, and learning a lot from your channel 👍

    Once again, Jeremy, you thoroughly impress me with your methodical, science-based approach and emphasize the most relevant information available in a clear, direct manner.
    One tip I'll share with others regarding problem-wrists. I have had a number of injuries to my wrists and lower forearms over the years from work and sports. The standard pushup hand position (wrists acutely bent at right angles) is just NOT an option for me, the pain for days afterwards is non-stop.
    What I have found as an excellent alternative is to use two Bollinger Cast Iron/Vinyl Coated 10 Pound Dumbbells. I can place them on the floor at a variety of directions and widths, grab the handles so my wrists are straight down, and do pushups with no pain at all. Any dumbbells like these will work as long as they have the flat spots on the perimeter of the 'bell' so they stay stable and don't roll. If you look up a photo of the Bollinger's you'll see what I mean.

    • @ganeshsahane5766
      @ganeshsahane5766 5 років тому

      My wrists hurt just like you said. What do you think about knuckle push-ups?

    • @kelleysauer1693
      @kelleysauer1693 5 років тому +2

      An equipment free method for the wrist problem is too simply ball your hands into fists and do the pushups with no bend at the wrist.

    • @d4mdcykey
      @d4mdcykey 5 років тому

      @@ganeshsahane5766 ~ I initially tried the fist method, but because of the type of injuries I've had it caused too much discomfort and stiffness through my metacarpals, etc.
      If they work for you, then of course, go for it. However, after much experimentation, the dumbbell method is the only one I found to work 100%.

    Watching this i remember being able to do push ups for the first time in my life a few years ago. This was after only working out for a few months.
    It was such a happy moment in my life. Things then got busy and some injuries happened which meant no more workouts. Fast forward to now and I have gained quite a lot of weight and lost some muscle ergo no strength to do push ups again 😅.
    I've started working out again this past month and this guy along with Nippard, Jeff C and Greg C are such great motivators.

    Some good information!
    I think the distinction between muscular strength, power and endurance training thresholds is something you will find interesting. Also, I would strongly recommend against placing a metal weight plate on your back like that. Broken wrists and hands can really slow down your training progress. A weight vest would be a better option.

    That said, when you display the results graph for the study at 1:50, how can muscles be activated greater than 100%? By definition, 100% is the absolute maximum; you cannot achieve more.
