I installed mine today. Found this video afterwards...
The yellow plastic tools he was using were body panel tools from Harbor Freight. I used the same set as I had some laying around and they were perfect.
My silver panels were much better attached than his were, and were a bit of a pain to get off. Suggest using gentle persuasion, patience, and those tools to avoid breaking anything.
I saw this mount online 12 months ago but couldn't find an Australian supplier and was suspicious the metal mounting brackets would cause an ugly gap between the silver end garnishes and the head unit facia. Not so! Your install looks great. I checked online and I can get one locally now, ordered it last night 😀So, thanks for making the video mate, I'll look at your other stuff. Have you done any other mods to the FJ that you could feature? Subscribed P.S. you mentioned you''ll be fitting a tablet, was the mount stable enough?
Glad you enjoyed the video, I have not added a tablet to the mount yet. The mount is solid so it should hold a smaller tablet no problem. I don't have many install videos up yet, I have a few in the works just haven't had a chance to get them done. Thank you for subscribing!

Nice, can you do a video of your flagpole mount. Because I had ordered one and connected it to the hinge, but the whole Dame mount bent from only driving 25min on the highway. And my American flag is only a 2x3
actually, I do not have a mount for the flagpole it is wedged in-between my jerry can and the jerry can holder and then zip tied to the holder. Typically, the flagpoles are not strong enough to drive down the freeway i try to not drive over 45 if my flag is flying.
