9:03 As a Filipino, let me tell you, it's hard not to go to a place full of teenagers without seeing a couple of them playing Tekken 6 on PSP and doing Network battles, even after Tekken 7 released.
and as a filipino I DON'T GET IT at all. SF Alpha 3 MAX is easily the better game for the psp and yet every psp i encounter always has tekken 6 on it but NO alpha3max. hell i even prefer dark resurrection over 6 because of better textures.
Tekken 5 Dark resurrection on psp is the definitive version of the game imo. The ps3 version released later was heavily cut down compared to the psp. Really cool seeing Tekken Resolute covered here, ive barely seen any videos on it, didnt even know it had force mode and online.
So let's see, there was a Tekken for the GBA, the PSP, the 3DS, maybe the Bandai Wonderswan; I'm curious if there are any others. I recall the adverts for the 3DS Tekken and the PSP's Tekken had my attention because of the return of Armour King. That said, I never did play any of these handheld entries so I'm curious to hear about them here. 1:30 - Funny enough, I'm in the 12.60% who don't own a smart phone... or any mobile phone device. 2:32 - Not just the tag-mode, it's really cool seeing them keep to Tekken being a 3D fighter on the system. Admittedly it's on a more advance system, but I know Virtua Fighter got turned into a 2D fighter when sent to the Game Gear (and even the Mega Drive). 5:10 - It's cool to see all the extra modes this game has. Does it retain the arcade endings from Tekken 5? When I did get a Namco fighting game on my PSP, it was Soulcalibur Broken Destiny, whom story mode was more of a lengthy tutorial and lacked arcade endings for characters (a big incentive of me playing fighters; makes each character feel like the protagonist). 12:22 - Aww, man; no story/arcade mode sucks to hear. I believe the big emphasis of the trailers was on it's frame rate (plus the movie included), so it would explain why I heard of nothing regarding story content. If you want a 3DS fighter with good story content, my recommendation would be Dead or Alive: Dimensions! 17:39 - Okay, putting aside the fact that Tekken Galaga Edition looks hilarious and pretty fun... Tekken 7 came out in 2015!? Oh gosh; I didn't realise it was that long ago.
Great video bro, just to give you a fact, that until now there's still been an active community of tekken 6 psp here combined by bunch of filipinos and indonesians where we could emulate and play online through a server called asteriaverse, not to mention an active modding community for this game that they even modded them to tekken 7 and also they're also trying to mod and there are existing tekken 8 mod to this lol
Sadly, mobile games are just trash nowadays if they come from any big company. Portable games used to be great when getting you to buy them was all they needed to do, but now their goal is to give you crap gameplay and expect you to be addicted and desperately wanting to pay for more of it after 10 minutes.
Thanks a lot! The idea of having 1k subscribers is still crazy to me since I literally just make videos in my bedroom with free editing software I taught myself how to use lmao
I loved Tekken Advance and while I'm aware of the shortcomings, I still enjoy 3D to this day... Kinda doesn't help Nintendo hasn't had many Tekken releases outside of the WiiU version, and if it counts, Pokken as well.
Already 1 minutes and 50 seconds in the video and already false information. Tekken Advance is NOT the first tekken game that’s released on portable handheld, the wonderswan got the first ever portable tekken game with tekken card challenge back in 1999 (also making it the first tekken game that’s released outside of PlayStation hardware and even the first card base tekken game). Advance was the first tekken fighting game on the handheld but not the first tekken game on the handheld. You also forgot a lot of mobile games for example, tekken bowl was released on ios back in the early 10s and the pachinko games got ported to mobile phones and tablets. Also you forgot street fighter x tekken on the vita and pokken tournament dx on the switch (it’s a tekken crossover with pokemon and called pokemon tekken in Germany and you mentioned Galaga in this video).
@@Paccyd33 puzzle fighter is a capcom theme puzzle game. All of the characters from puzzle fighter are divided from street fighter and darkstalkers not majority from one franchise. Card challenge is a tekken game! All the characters are from tekken 3.
Considering all the weird mobile games covered here, its omission is surprising. If we were only doing Tekken Advance, Dark Resurrection, 6 and 3D, I’d understand.

That's awesome! Why do you think that is? I'm super interested
@@khanage1344as a rough estimate, prolly easy to emulate through phones cuz it’s psp?
@@khanage1344Yeah the Tekken 7 Global mod for Tekken 6 PSP is made by a Filipino too.

Hey, I'm glad you learnt about something today! DR on PSP is really, really good
Considering all the weird mobile games you covered, it’s surprising you skipped the Wonderswan game.
Fun Fact: in Tekken 3D Prime Edition, Heihachi’s Moveset Is Updated To His Tag Tournament 2 Moveset

Tekken Arena is exactly the type of game that one guy on my bus would have played back in school.
at least Tekken 3ds has unique stages, music and models.
Calling tekken prime edition a tekken 3 is a huge sin!
This is the worst game in the franchise.

tekken prime edition has quick play tho? isnt that kinda like arcade mode?
Tekken dark resurrection is the best in my opinion
