Story 1: I think your New Years resolution needs to be finding some solid friendships this year, finds friend who become family to you. I gained an unexpected friendship this year that’s been such a huge blessing, her & her family have become family to me in such a short time. I also went through a rough break up this year and they were there for me all the way through. Put yourself out there. I also did meet this girl through work, I think regardless you’re going to find those people in your life but make it a priority for yourself this year. Sending love ❤️
Happy holidays family!❤ Also story 2....the mother was dead ass wrong for not stopping her son from assaulting him over and over again...hes going to think that behavior is okay and end up putting his hands on the wrong person and is going to either get his ass beat or end up in jail . for story one : i don't see why op can't ask a friend to spend their christmas with? i know holidays are super family oriented but i went with my friend to her house for thanksgiving and had an amazing time! it was a bit awkward to ask but it was so worth it and the awkwardness went away minutes after asking!
Also story 4 is sad. She is so concerned with keeping her mom happy and not ruining the relationship meanwhile her mother let's the step-dad talk and treat her that way smh. I hope she gets her own place . I really want an update on that story
Story 1: my life blew up about 4 weeks ago due to me splitting from my Fiancé - and the first thing on everybody's mind was 'where are you spending Christmas?! In a time where I was so lonely- I've never known such an outpouring of love. People I wouldn't even consider 'close' invited me. However, I've chosen to stay with my partner (no longer Fiancé) and it has been very much the same - you don't know how loved and surrounded you are ❤ xxxx
To OP of story 1. Here is the best relationship advice my mother, now past, ever gave to me... (For context, I was in a rocky relationship myself, holding my newborn daughter). My mom looked me in the eye and asked me, 'Is this what you would want for her (refering to my daughter)? If this isn't good enough for her, it's not good enough for you.'
For story number three I believe OP needs to start documenting when he’s drinking, how he talks to her, his behavior because if she just leaves with the kid, he can call the police and say she’s kidnapping his child which will not look good in court he will most likely do so if he’s petty enough and will take her to court for full custody just because he wants to see her reaction getting her kid taken away from her. She is gonna have to start documenting everything between them and between the kid and once she gets that she needs to go to the police station and file for temporary custody and everything to get that all sorted out before she leaves the state because if she leaves, before everything is sorted out she could get in trouble with the law if he gets the law involved which will be a much more messy situation.
Story 3... To be honest I don't feel like you actually answered this person and totally missed their initial wording that they wanted advice on HOW to tell the partner they were moving home. (Rather than 'should I') You guys got so caught up in reassuring the person that leaving the partner was the right choice that it felt like U actually dismissed the actual question 🤔
NO parent is a GOOD parent if they are Abusive to the other parent ir child OR ig they watch their partner abuse the child. Story 3: Please take your child and leave. This an ABUSIVE relationship. He doesn't respect or love you. Look at his actions, don't don't listen to his words. I am afraid he will escalate quickly as he already has proven to haven't a damaging trigger temper. Gather essentials while he is away and ask only trusted friends or a police escort to help leave.
