Thank you SO much for this!! I used to fall asleep to this every night for months when I was little. It’s honestly so comforting to hear it again lol
Same. I feel like a little kid listening to it.
Same I’m doin it now
That must be a common thing, because my brother and I would fall asleep to the '83 version for years when we were kids. I must have heard it hundreds of times.
Ahhhh so many memories. I used to listen to this all the time when I was a kid.
I'm actually a little sad the middle bits about "now is the time to turn over the tape" didn't make it in!
STAR WARS 6 RETURN OF THE JEDI 40TH ANNIVERSARY 1983-2023!
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
My favorite part of the story is the ending.
Darth Vader sounds like Brock Peters..
It is Brock Peters!
At last, The prophecy of The Chosen One has been fulfilled!
I remember I got this exact book and tape back '97 for my 9th birthday. And I hadn't seen the movies before that.
I love these. Please continue to put these on.
Listen to this make me remember how I felt as a kid when I first time listen to this. I felt hopeful and imagined many stories that came after the original. I used to write & draw my own fan fiction books centre around my favourite movies and tv series. I always had a big imagination and love creating stories.
"Father, I won't leave you." 😢

I remember listening to this on trips.

I rented this from my local library so many times I think I wore the tape out really bad. Wasn’t allowed to watch the movies as a kid so this was the next best thing.
I wonder who voiced the Emperor.
Nick Tate! I found out last night!
