    Can you do a video going in depth on how to do good mornings? Are there variations based on how much you bend your knees? I'm wondering if it's worth it to do both good mornings with more knee bends, being more similar to a regular deadlift, vs good mornings with less knee bend, being more similar to RDL/stiff legged deadlifts to work the hamstrings more.

      Honestly, if you can’t be dynamic then I would just really focus on the things that you were either working that day or the problem areas you have on your body. I’m not a big believer in static stuff and staying in one place. The body is meant to move, so if you’re in an environment that is stifling that then I would highly try to find a better environment if possible

    why would you pair dead lifting, a lift which in itself is pretty demanding , with something like burpies AND ab roll outs, like would you not give your body time t properly recover and get its breath back.... i mean there are other ways t train your endurance, why risk blowing out your lower back.... i mean you say youre already injured..., look man i been watching you for a while and its clear youre pretty experienced and smart but it was really disturbing t watch you do that , seemed like some bullshit cross-fitters would do ..... , i personally strictly against doing anything else in the middle of lifts like....dead lifts, squats , cleans and other compound movements which tax your whole body alot to begin with, i think its better t recover within sets just by standing n letting your body pull itself tog again.

    • @leftphilange69
      @leftphilange69 5 років тому +7

      samuel's stuff if you’ve been watching Brian for a while you really should know the answer to your own question... CrossFit doesn’t have a monopoly over supersets/circuits dude - their (CrossFit’s) programming might be arbitrary sometimes but Brian has explained ad naseum how he constructs his giant sets, why he does it the way he does, and what it gives him. If you don’t personally like this pairing that’s fine, I don’t particularly see it being beneficial for my own training either but I’m willing to bet that he has a good reason for his exercise selection. He’s not sick because he does burpee lateral jumps with his deadlifts. He’s definitely not risking blowing out his back either - I don’t know where you come up with that. His form doesn’t break down at all. For some athletes this may be the case, but most athletes aren’t Brian.

    • @jmonseur5322
      @jmonseur5322 5 років тому +2

      The burpees are just something to keep the heart rate up that doesnt fatigue the actual musculature and the ab wheel roll-outs serve to reinforce the brace he is using for the deadlifts as well as building ab strength. As long as he can maintain his form for his deadlifts, which he clearly is, there is no issue.

      @@leftphilange69 well i just personally am not a big fan of sandwiching strength based movement with these other cardiovascular movements or giant sets in general . so ig thats why looking at this makes me feel freaked out. lets say you and me are familiar with his workouts enough t not copy this without understanding whats going on , but what if some newb copies this in hopes of maximizing his strength and endurance at the same time ...which is something very hard t do ...even for intermediate lifters.

    • @samuelsstuff8012

    Awesome video as always dude. I have gotten so much out of your breathing and bracing and the do’s and dont’s of x lift videos - you have really helped me breach personal lifting hurdles that I didn’t even know I had. P.S. the 710 squat looked to depth to me for what it’s worth and it went up like you had more in the tank! More PRs on the way! Enjoy your trip and collabs Brian.
