There are a lot of reasons why it is not cool to call me Poppa Alsruhe. It doesn’t hurt my feelings, but you should be more considerate when you think about the implications
Brian Alsruhe I understand man. In other news, I have been doing glute ham raise dead lifts lately and I must say, never felt stronger. Stay strong man, we all are because of you
Do you have a video on standing ab wheel progression? Doing them on the ground is too easy for me, even with pause reps. I tried the standing variation once and faceplanted lol.
@@swindledgarlic5262 You should've seen the look on my face when I realized what was about to happen and that I couldn't stop. I was bound to faceplant if I let go of the wheel or held on. Fortunately my living room is carpeted so it didn't hurt too much.
Just love everything about your videos! I can't wait to see you back at 100% and what numbers you can throw around... like the fact you are considering yourself not at your best but can deadlift and squat the numbers you do is mental! also love the advice and information you drop! so much value!
That was from Jujimufu and Tom (sure who made it) when they came to neversate for a collab. Brian thought it fit the attitude of the gym and his own look on life so well he wanted it somewhere he could see all the time
Can you do a video going in depth on how to do good mornings? Are there variations based on how much you bend your knees? I'm wondering if it's worth it to do both good mornings with more knee bends, being more similar to a regular deadlift, vs good mornings with less knee bend, being more similar to RDL/stiff legged deadlifts to work the hamstrings more.
why is it when I use a belt for overhead pressing its harder to lockout because of my clothes basically pulling me down from the tightness off the belt? anyone else get that?
Hi Brian, I saw your video on how to warm-up. I´m working out in my basement and its a very small room. What warmup do you recommend for someone who don´t have the space to jump and throw etc.? Thank you very much
Honestly, if you can’t be dynamic then I would just really focus on the things that you were either working that day or the problem areas you have on your body. I’m not a big believer in static stuff and staying in one place. The body is meant to move, so if you’re in an environment that is stifling that then I would highly try to find a better environment if possible
Hey Brian, how often do you do windshield wipers? I know you always talk about how much you love them, and almost all your videos there's clips of you doing them, but do you do them all day between workouts or the videos are just edited like that? Thanks!
I do them most weeks if not every other week man. They are one of the hardest oblique exercises for me, so they show up a lot. Plus twisting strength means a ton to me for my sports
Hi Brian Tried a 135 lbsb barbell row today , managed a couple of reps but felt I couldn't support the weight and it was rounding my back , do you think it's a back strength issure or a core one ?

Out of everything that I did in that video that could be considered dangerous, you choose my footwear on lunges...You may need to spend more time on the important things brother
Brian just squatted 710lbs!!! By definition thats pretty dangerous - although he nailed it!!! 💪 Lunges with weightlifting shoes is dangerous compared with that how? I wear weightlifting shoes whilst doing lunges all of the time. What is dangerous about it? How is it anymore dangerous than squatting in weightlifting shoes?
why would you pair dead lifting, a lift which in itself is pretty demanding , with something like burpies AND ab roll outs, like would you not give your body time t properly recover and get its breath back.... i mean there are other ways t train your endurance, why risk blowing out your lower back.... i mean you say youre already injured..., look man i been watching you for a while and its clear youre pretty experienced and smart but it was really disturbing t watch you do that , seemed like some bullshit cross-fitters would do ..... , i personally strictly against doing anything else in the middle of lifts like....dead lifts, squats , cleans and other compound movements which tax your whole body alot to begin with, i think its better t recover within sets just by standing n letting your body pull itself tog again.
samuel's stuff if you’ve been watching Brian for a while you really should know the answer to your own question... CrossFit doesn’t have a monopoly over supersets/circuits dude - their (CrossFit’s) programming might be arbitrary sometimes but Brian has explained ad naseum how he constructs his giant sets, why he does it the way he does, and what it gives him. If you don’t personally like this pairing that’s fine, I don’t particularly see it being beneficial for my own training either but I’m willing to bet that he has a good reason for his exercise selection. He’s not sick because he does burpee lateral jumps with his deadlifts. He’s definitely not risking blowing out his back either - I don’t know where you come up with that. His form doesn’t break down at all. For some athletes this may be the case, but most athletes aren’t Brian.
The burpees are just something to keep the heart rate up that doesnt fatigue the actual musculature and the ab wheel roll-outs serve to reinforce the brace he is using for the deadlifts as well as building ab strength. As long as he can maintain his form for his deadlifts, which he clearly is, there is no issue.
@@leftphilange69 well i just personally am not a big fan of sandwiching strength based movement with these other cardiovascular movements or giant sets in general . so ig thats why looking at this makes me feel freaked out. lets say you and me are familiar with his workouts enough t not copy this without understanding whats going on , but what if some newb copies this in hopes of maximizing his strength and endurance at the same time ...which is something very hard t do ...even for intermediate lifters.
