HOW I COLOUR | Leaves with Colour Pencils | Adult Colouring

I love to colour leaves! I find them so relaxing! A subscriber had kindly requested me to show my process of colouring leaves and I am very happy to share this with you on this video.
I will be using Faber Castell Albrecht Dürer pencils, but dry - the shades can be matched up exactly with the Polychromos. I will also show the swatches of the pencil shades I use.
I hope you enjoy this video and hopefully you get some ideas for colouring your own leaves. Thank you for watching.

Wow, I literally just watched a flat leaf become curved and pop off the page! What a difference the dark shadow makes, I have never thought to try using a different colour, just a darker green. Thanks for the tutorial.

Hi Keni, glad you liked the leaves video. Yes, you can definitely use them for big leaves, or smaller ones too. I use the flicking version of colouring if I want to give a 'vein' effect to leaves - so when you don't want that effect, you can avoid this technique I guess. I love the background you did with Neo Color II, which has prompted me into purchasing a set of my own. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished piece. I hope you show instruction on coloring the plums. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Your leaves are stunning. This was very timely for me as I'm doing a page in circle of life that is very leaf heavy and I didn't like the way my leaves were looking so I put it away until I was feeling more inspired.
Your background is also gorgeous. I really like your color choices on everything you color.
I just got the albrecht dürer pencils. I've gotten then dry swatched and can't wait to give them a proper go.

@@shelscolouringjourney it has. I'm going to go back to it after I finish the page I'm working on now. I am going to use your color combo on some type of leaves. It's the toucan page if you were wondering.
I'm excited to give them a good test. I'm being a bit precious about them right now. The page I'm currently working on is in In Circle by Coco Wyo. I'm normally not worried about using high end pencils on Amazon paper. I've used my holbeins in several Kameliya Angelcova books without batting an eye. I haven't gotten to that point with the Albrecht Dürer yet.

Absolutely gorgeous leaves! You are so incredibly talented. I too tend to flick with leaves (well....I might flick almost anything hahaha but that's just my style). BUT, I adore your style and the colors. It is just lovely. I'm going to try this method myself. 💜

I used the Neocolor IIs in shades: Salmon Pink (071), Salmon (051) and Flesh (042). I applied them directly to the paper in this case and then activated with the water. 💗
I recently bought 120 gel pens to color with and I'm not really satisfied with my work I'm new to this and would like your recommendation and which pencils you use. Tyvm. ❤
Hi Kimberly. Welcome to the world of colouring!! I think the first thing will be to decide which medium you like to use to colour with - I see you mentioned you are colouring with gel pens and you are not satisfied. Everyone has different styles....I use primarily pencils (Faber Castell Albrecht Dürer) but everyone is different - some colourists like watercolour paints, some like alcohol markers, some like gel pens....so maybe start with trying to find what you enjoy colouring with? Hope this helps 💗

I use the Faber Castell Albrecht Dürer pencils - the range of colours match up exactly to Polychromos, but they are watercolour pencils 💗
You use them for regular coloring or must you use them for watercolor only
