- Happy holidays, zombaes! Bringing you another festive FX look this year as an abominable snowman / yeti ! This tutorial covers the prosthetic makeup sculpting , teeth , nails , horns , application , and costume if you count hot glue as a way to put together clothing (hey, I tried). Snow is pretty but I like to think a mega creep like this guy is hiding under a big pile just waiting for someone to jump in.......... why do I think of these things
Quick note I forgot to mention in the tutorial - the styrofoam wand I'm using gets extremely hot and you need to be super careful using it. It also gives off some intense fumes so wear a breathing mask or respirator (Like this one - amzn.to/2k2MxtZ) and work in a well ventilated room.

bert1029 ya she's mostly self taught I believe, she went to school for film but as for makeup I'm almost positive she's self taught. I think she talk about it more in her Q&A video:)

I'm usually pretty happy to get rid of what I can, as soon as I can... whether that's donating it or just getting rid of it. I'm the anti-clutter bug and I can't stand having extra things around I don't need or use. I do have a smaaaaalllllll box of prosthetics from my first few glam&gore videos though! I've got a little room for sentimental stuff hahah. But yeah no this fuzz is OUTTA HERE now. So excited.

Trinity Miles I'd also love to see a more traditional wendigo, like with antlers and slightly more animalistic features. That's the kind of wendigo I always knew. But the one in Supernatural and the ones in Until Dawn were also super cool and scary!

For anyone making this or using that material - the best way to work with that fabric, is flip it so fluff is facing floor/whatever you're cutting on, then add pattern or whatever then make small cuts to just the material at the back. That eliminates most (not all!) of the shedding. It will take longer to cut out but it's worth it to get rid of the massacre of fluff.
