As a DRK main I can agree with them needing atleast 1 more way to self sustain, HOWEVER, I did solo the first 2 bosses from ~70% HP in the 2nd new dungeon in DT the first time I ever did it (My party members, healer especially were REALLY bad). the Upgraded Shadow Wall was a huge help and I honestly dont think we need anything crazy, maybe some form of healing on our Oblations which have a short cooldown and can also benefit party members would be my choice.
Solution: have how many stacks we have for each buffed GCD on the GCD itself. I hate the gauge tbh. And Monk will overall be fine once they remove the whole Dragon Kick not needing a form buff to grant the buff, because right now that’s the optimal way to play. Also, forced double weaves on a 1.94 GCD at my ping is impossible without 3rd party resources, so that feels bad.

Why do they feel like noting Picto has no resurrection spell? Does BLM? SMN has one because it's connected to SCH. RDM got one later, and I can only imagine it's because it is still connected to WHT magic, being a combo of WHT and BLK. Why should PCM have a res?
"With the full release of Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail underway, the fifth expansion of Square Enix's MMORPG" Are they getting paid by how many words they use in the article, wtf is with this unnecessary padding.
"At level 40, a new spell called Aetherical Shift allows the White mage to dash forward, similarly to the Dancer's En Avant. This spell addressed a major concern about the White Mage's lack of mobility beforehand." What. WHM is the most mobile healer by far. It's baffling that it was the one healer to get a dash this expansion.
NO it wasn't? Have you ever played the job? You don't have an instant cast spell like SCH to use while moving, you either stand and cast Glare or you move. And slide casting A LOT OF THE TIME is not fast enough. The slide/dash skill is fucking amazing. It makes moving for certain mechanics so much better.
This tier list feels more like “I want to write an article about the job changes but it’s too late after the expansion’s gone live for anyone to care” so they made it a tier list
I think some reading comprehension is needed for the dancer portion. It's saying that dancer's utility and lower dps is different from other selfish dps jobs
drk just makes me sad, it's amazing to me how they gave all the other tanks a paragraph of mit/heal back in endwalker and we got 10% damage reduction......cool. Then in dawntrail, they do something that seems like a slam dunk by giving us delirium and blood weapon together, fantastic, but then it's only 3 stacks instead of 5.....so we get less gauge and less mana back.....awesome. Like I know it's not world ending, but it just gets frustrating when I watch the other tanks get great buffs and QOL, and when they get to drk, they take like 5 minutes, spit on the job, then move on. Also, just an aside, but anyone else disapointed that disesteem is literally just bloodspiller with particle effects to hide that it's just the same fucking move?
The devs refusing to get rid of the mana cost on tbn or give dark any decent self sustain is insane. Also samurai got a huge change what are they even taking about, the upgrades to its burst are absurd, you get a guaranteed 2,040 potency crit every minute and they increased base midare to 700 potency and ogi to what 900? Samurai hits like an absolute truck right now.
Give Salted Earth the same effect it has in PvP and reduce its cool down to 60s, put HP recovery on Carve and Spit and Flood/Edge, and buff Dark Mind to make it more useful and less situational would go a long way to help.
For DRK, I think their sustain would be better if abyssal drain has a 1200 cure potency, just like equilibrium minus the HoT. In addition, every time blood is spent or generated, the cooldown of abyssal drain drops by 1 second. If used in a mob pack, it heals up to 1200 potency and less as it affects more enemies. Also, don't tie it to the cooldown of CnS. If nothing else, that's the one that needs to be changed. Giving bloodspiller and quietus cure potency when delirium is used would also be nice.
lesson- DRKs are well designed in comparison to other tanks and can't be totally so self-centered that they expect that looking at chat or waiting a few seconds for CS to be unreasonable when in DF
It seems obvious that this was just a grammatical mistake and they intended to say dancers low damage and utility contrasts with machinists selfish dps
This is how I see it too. They shouldn't have use "with" or even "with more" in that sentence. It should have just been "machinist's defenses and selfish dps".
Putting BLM in B tier was far too generous; the current Dawntrail BLM is definitely F-tier and desperately needs these awful changes reverted to have it go back to how it was in Endwalker.

While I agree the list isn't great, the Dancer sentence is more like "Dancer's party utility vs Machinist's defenses AND selfish DPS." The selfish DPS was still referring to Machinist, not Dancer.
That DRK was very much true. These dungeons hit extremely hard now and DRK can not sustain for shit. They need something similar to War where more attacks regen their health. That was literally DRKs gimick in old FF where they siphon hp
Holy crap, thank you. I took a break for a few patches in Endwalker and was well past level 62. I *completely* missed that Dismantle had been readded during my absence. I'm pretty embarrassed right now. But not as embarrassed as I would be to have published this list.
Drk knight sounds like it has it rough XD My Pally and Gunbreaker groan as well when the healer dies lol My GnB can survive up to 5% boss health remaining My Pally can kill a boss with 10% of its health remaining. My Warrior can solo a dungeon boss by himself IF mechanics allow for it XD (Boss doesn't hold you with an insta-kill mechanic)
I am DNC main, i provide the protect, will use the aoe heal to help the healer in a pinch instead of using it on myself cause the healer it's healing the dps, risk drawing aggro if the tank is getting overwhelmed and the healer is low on mana., and many others...Please tell me how that is being selfish?
On Dark Knight TBN should give you healing on weaponskill damage. For the duration the barrier is up you heal while hitting with weaponskills like bloodwhetting does. TBN has a shorter cooldown than Bloodwhetting but it costs mp. This would also make it so that if your shield breaks you gain dps but lose the healing, and if the shield doesn’t break you’ve gained the maximum amount of healing from it while losing the dps neutral aspect.
"Dancers core rotation remains unchanged, its lower dmg output and focus on offensive utility contrasts with the machinist's Defenses and with a more selfish playstyle" I'm all for shitting on writers not knowing what they are saying but its calling machinist a defensive buff focused Selfish DPS. not Dancer.
The article literally didn't say that. Stop making shit up. Just because strummer can't read doesn't mean UA-cam comment frogs are allowed to act stupid. It said "[Dancer's focus on utility] contrasts with the Machinist's defences and [...] more selfish DPS". Man, western XIV players really have the reading comprehension of a watermelon. That sure explains why there are so many cutscene skippers and MSQ speedrunners.
As someone who was a sage Main as his first healer in endwalker, sage doesn't have trouble with bursts of incoming damage persay. If you prep correctly before raid wide's, Between the Aoe shields, and two AOE heal over time effects, with one being a built in mit, and stuff like Panhaima. Sage has it's own way of dealing with it and recovering. Just like sch has their ability to spread big shields around like candy. They do about the same when it comes down it to. Sage is also quicker on the draw, cause their shields don't really have a cast time so you're not rooted on the spot.
My biggest issue with DRK isn''t even the lack of self - sustain, its that there is really nothing "in its place" to off - set that weakness. TBN is still good, but other tanks have caught up and all of them can comfortably deal with big chonky tank - busters. DRK has had its share of issues for a long time, but their ability to both deal with AND deal crazy burst damage covered up most of those problems. Its still "fine", it checks the boxes, but DRK just feels like it lacks an identity. Sure PLD dps is meh, but they're sturdy AF and have utility for days. GNB is still the DPS pretending to be a tank that oddly enough has really solid defensives, and WAR is WAR. Brrr. Big defense, big heal, big hit, big good. DRK...looks cool.
Paladin shining very bright for every healer in every Dawntrail Dungeon for sure. They’re dying faster than DD’s 😂 I feel like a babysitter when a Paladin tanks 🥲
Dark Knight not having the ability to self sustain is odd. Historically in other mainline games the blood attacks would life steal so you think that would be something they would implement in FFXIV
The thing that always bothers me when people show low avg dps for smn/rdm is that I know from my own experience, it's not u common to have a clear because they have a res and are able to recover the party from a wipe. I won't say this affects top end parses, but definitely the average, and is also just the kind of value that you won't see represented by something overly logs focused like this is.
I honestly wish Machinist could give more offensive buffs and this is coming from a Machinist player. As for my personal belief about Dismantle, I don't think it puts it above the other classes, especially Bard. Bard brings a lot to the table in terms of buffs
The game journalist said dancer's "lower damage output and focus on offensive utility contrasts with the machinist's defenses and with more selfish dps". They saying machinist has the selfish dps compared to Dancer's non-selfish dps ("lower damage output and focus on offensive utility contrasts"). It's sounds weird because they said "with more" and should have typed "machinist's defenses and selfish dps". Maybe he's a idiot because "with more selfish dps", he should have been comparing to another selfish dps job like blm and sam. Even comparing to them, machinist does less dps than those because of mobility tax.
Regarding reaper, "Shadow of Death" is the worst thing about the entire job, i can'T even tell you how many people forget to apply this debuff in dungeons, it feels slow and clunky, and is just annoying to put on enemies.
As much as we (collectively) do like to complain about homogenisation, I do wish things like Shadow of Death would just be something that is applied naturally with your combo, similar to Viper's equivalent. Though, I do dislike having to put a debuff on the target to increase just your own damage against it. I hate that it takes up a space on the enemy debuff bar, and when you have multiple jobs doing that, it becomes unnecessary noise for me. At the very least, the debuff should only appear on your own screen (separately to disabling showing other debuffs not your own).
I am a Dark Knight main and going through the story my healers died early (70%+) on almost every single dungeon boss and i had no issue making it through and keeping the dps alive as well. Self sustain isn't as braindead as the other tanks and they are absolutely fucked on trash packs without a healer, but DRKs still have enough for a dungeon boss.
I never used the "Trust" system and I've watched all the cutscenes on my first time in a dungeon... what's the issue with playing group content with an actual group huh
bringing up Lion Heart as an iconic Limit Break, makes me think that if I was given Omni-Slash as a lvl 100 ability on Dark Knight, then I would literally not care about anything else. It could have the same HP as a mage with no mitigation and I'd still be okay with it because it's just that cool
A heal every 2 min does not mean that dark knight no longer has any self sustain issues. It's not even like you would want to use it for the heal since that's a waste of a 40%
I'm not trying to defend this list, it's shit, but Xeems doesn't know how to read on the DNC rant. The article is saying DNC's focus on utility contrasts with MCH having more selfish DPS.
I love these articles that are just written by ChatGPT and shit out to capitalize on hype for the expansion instead of just hiring someone who plays the game to write it. Side note: when calculating a job's damage output you should count the extra damage they contribute through buffing other jobs.
lolol 11:24. gotta love the alty deaths where abyssal drain is 1s off cd and all your other mits are burnt so you die. the sad part about it asking for a raise in chat someone screamed "skill issue" and I replied like "tanking 13 mobs in a fate solo with no sustain issue" was dark kngihting at lv 92/91 at my second lv 91 run the scholar was using physick because I'm guessing they were a smn main and didnt know better? I took it as a personal challenge and barley got thrugh that shit. Poor guy didnt even read my living dead macro and kept me from dying :agony: then redoing it at now lv 92 with the excog shadow wall buff I used the chat macro multiple times and the healer still didn't let me invuln...
Dancer selfish? pretty sure dancer needs their dance partner to pull off their dps and the dancer partner in return gets damage buffs etc. Both dps benefit. Did they mean selfish in a way it puts pressure on a dps to not die? sort of a dumb statement to imply if so, since thats the goal of all players right? Don't die and do more dps/healing? as a healer I love not spending chunks of 2400 mana. that 2400 mana is more effective being used on healing spells.
'because dark knight is different, or else you might as well just copy paste them all', holding back insults was hard so I had to stop looking at chat(other chat)
I usually wait till savage to judge damage. So many jobs last expansion were top tier on the extremes and then fell off hard in savage, and vice versa.
For DRK they need to bring back sole survivor, maybe change it slightly idk how. And add a heal effect on TBN or something. Abbysal drain needs it's own cool down and heal a lot more than it does. That's just what I think though.
I only played dps in realm reborn. I first played tank in Heavensward as a Drk. I took it up cuz it was new and my friend needed either a tank or healer for queues. we were trying to clear Seph ex and the Pld told me that my drk wasn’t doing enough dmg to clear and suggested war… Been my main since and I haven’t looked back. realistically, what are the chances they fix blackmage, and how long would it take them? If black mage gets left in the gutter, that would be such a shame. its such a cool looking class. I wonder if the devs realize how poorly the black mage changes and the addition of picto affected the job

Where do these tier list writers get their info from? The bottom of a shoe?
from out their ass
On game rant, the author of this article's favorite jobs(according to his profile) are Paladin, White Mage, Gunbreaker, Sage, and Machinist. Of those. Paladin, White Mage, Machinist, and Sage are all in the S tier category with Gunbreaker being A tier. Take that as you will. Bit of advice for the dude. Don't put your favorite jobs out there. People will use that as ammo against you.
As a MCH main myself, that S rank placement immediately reeked of cope, lmao.
@@Bladehound83 Same as a Paladin Main. Lowest DPS of all the tanks, and is mainly used for learning end game fights. It might have highest survivability over a long period of time (Depending on what you're in), but even I know it's not S tier.
Well yeah, it's a blog post by James Ratcliff AKA Janyd Shieldstrike. This guy is so bad at the game
when ur so bad at the game u get doxxed
It's probably written by mr GPT, it's 90% wiki description and then completely arbitrary rankings given.
@@michielmanders9766 I'd be surprised if it wasn't written by AI. That'd mean the guy had to collect this rubbish and put it together himself, which makes it even worse than if he just lazily asked AI to do it for him.
@@DoppelgangerTH Yeah but AI takes it from places like wikipedia etc. I think all the writer did was put a number on them, and looking at the order he did that entirely at random.
Sage only struggles after dying and losing MP as most heavy damage requires setup as long as you know mechanics you can basically be a god of Mitigate stalling taking hits if your tank dies, or buffing a DPS to pesudo tank briefly depending on the job support like a MNK
Always carry high quality mana potions, problem solved.
@@Hammybread yeah I make those, but with smart play and selective predictive buffing under pressure you can claw your way out of Jams your are likely to die sometimes in those few moments after raise so unless you need a Potion to raise another healer right away its kinda meh or just LB lol
Xeem doesn't know the existence of the word "swathes" LOL
He's probably making a joke about the fact that it's not spelled correctly, it should be 'swaths'. 'Swathe' is a word but it doesn't mean the same thing as 'swath', and it's basically never used in modern English, 'swaddle' being more common instead.
@@TiaKatt Wrong, "swathe" is just British spelling. You know, real English lul.
If Dancer is a selfish dps, then the Bard does the highest DPS in the game!😂😂
There is a reason I play every tank but Dark Knight lol
Also Monk is amazing outside of having to stare at the new balls…
Solution: have how many stacks we have for each buffed GCD on the GCD itself. I hate the gauge tbh. And Monk will overall be fine once they remove the whole Dragon Kick not needing a form buff to grant the buff, because right now that’s the optimal way to play. Also, forced double weaves on a 1.94 GCD at my ping is impossible without 3rd party resources, so that feels bad.
People that shit on Dancers are just jealous because they never get Dance Partner because their own DPS output sucks.
Dancers ROCK!
Why am I laughing so hard at that stupid fart sound 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Is it me or i feel like this is article generated by AI?
every gamerant and other website like this, their content is AI crap
Absolutely. I think Speed of Light that it mentioned for White Mage is an ability that priests or paladin healers have in WoW, hahaha
I've had ChatGPT and Gemini write assessments of things and they always write it like ads, mentioning features of something and how it is /intended/ to work but never whether it /does/. This whole article is indeed like that.
@@shrubninja6444 speed of light is supposed to be AST Lightspeed, but the AI probably fucked up somewhere along the way.
It felt very AIish to me. That would be fine as a core starting point but you have to go through and A) proofread and 2) know what your talking about to edit the final product. There was some bizzare stuff in that article.
Why do they feel like noting Picto has no resurrection spell? Does BLM? SMN has one because it's connected to SCH. RDM got one later, and I can only imagine it's because it is still connected to WHT magic, being a combo of WHT and BLK. Why should PCM have a res?
"With the full release of Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail underway, the fifth expansion of Square Enix's MMORPG"
Are they getting paid by how many words they use in the article, wtf is with this unnecessary padding.
No, that's just how AI writes.

"At level 40, a new spell called Aetherical Shift allows the White mage to dash forward, similarly to the Dancer's En Avant. This spell addressed a major concern about the White Mage's lack of mobility beforehand."
What.
@@DieKao Yeah. I cleared TOP on it in fact.
You have these things called lilies, hon.
@DieKao bro forgot about lillies as a movement tool. (the ones you want to use anyway to prep your misery for buffs)
I actually broke out laughing once I saw machinist at S tier
Giving bloodspiller and quietus cure potency when delirium is used would also be nice.
lesson- DRKs are well designed in comparison to other tanks and can't be totally so self-centered that they expect that looking at chat or waiting a few seconds for CS to be unreasonable when in DF
game "journalist" tier list... oh, BROTHER.. this is gonna be a stinker.
It seems obvious that this was just a grammatical mistake and they intended to say dancers low damage and utility contrasts with machinists selfish dps
This is how I see it too. They shouldn't have use "with" or even "with more" in that sentence. It should have just been "machinist's defenses and selfish dps".
That Reaper review hurt my soul.
Like, who ever complained about death's design? It helps the job not feel braindead. I love it.
@@corvoyami3192 On top of that, it's necessary for double enshroud to work.
@@ruily276 I'm glad you said it. True, I hope they do not remove it like, ever.

Putting BLM in B tier was far too generous; the current Dawntrail BLM is definitely F-tier and desperately needs these awful changes reverted to have it go back to how it was in Endwalker.
is it true that the class is much easier now? i havent tested it pre or after rework so idk
@@darkviper1875yeah it's easier now. I personally like the changes they made to blm but I can see why people don't like them
@@darkviper1875some things are easier. No sharpcast and guaranteed fire starter proc. But you get punished harder for missing a single fire IV and the rotation overall is much more strict/rigid, there are no longer transpose lines you can do to deal with movement which probably partly explains its horrendous damage on the more movement heavy ex trial
@@RathVantas people are thinking about the astral and umbral phases too rigidly. If you don't have proper spell speed you can modify your opener to get everything you need rolling with time to spare. If anything the job is a little more braindead than it used to be, which could be good or bad depending on where you stand with the advanced opener from EW.
As a DRK main.... yeah...
Literally give DRK better self sustain and i would be the happiest guy in the world. Abyssal Drain has got to be one of the worse skills i have ever had the displeasure of having to use in order to not die in dungeons. it feels like shit, heals for shit, shares a cooldown for some fucking reason. Its awful.
like im not even asking for like WAR type of Self-sustain (though that would be hella sick), just something to keep us alive and well easier than having to use fucking Abyssal Drain which heals fuck all
The Rank 1 MCH being named Mosin Nagant is just *chefs' kiss*
Lol RPR as C tier is hilarious. Not only one of the most fun jobs, but it also kicks out mad DPS _and_ has solid defense.
I wqould say replacing games journalists with AI is a net win for everyone.. except the AI was probably trained on games journalist content :O
While I agree the list isn't great, the Dancer sentence is more like "Dancer's party utility vs Machinist's defenses AND selfish DPS." The selfish DPS was still referring to Machinist, not Dancer.
It's kinda sad the life steal job (DRK) cannot sustain themselves through a dungeon.
"Though Sage can struggle against bursts of heavy incoming damage"
AI still got a long way to go.
That DRK was very much true. These dungeons hit extremely hard now and DRK can not sustain for shit. They need something similar to War where more attacks regen their health. That was literally DRKs gimick in old FF where they siphon hp
As a dark night main that DK rant hit different. Worst way to die is when it's not your fault. But I'll keep fighting
On EX1 MT as DRK, with the dot and my WHM dying, that experience, is painful
Holy crap, thank you. I took a break for a few patches in Endwalker and was well past level 62. I *completely* missed that Dismantle had been readded during my absence. I'm pretty embarrassed right now.
But not as embarrassed as I would be to have published this list.
Calling Dismantle a defensive ability is certainly a choice.
I remember when DRK had a massive heal, then they took it away and gave WAR all the self heals...
Drk knight sounds like it has it rough XD
My Pally and Gunbreaker groan as well when the healer dies lol
My GnB can survive up to 5% boss health remaining
My Pally can kill a boss with 10% of its health remaining.
My Warrior can solo a dungeon boss by himself IF mechanics allow for it XD (Boss doesn't hold you with an insta-kill mechanic)
YoshiP only loves warrior in this game
As a gnb, I have solo'ed many a boss. You just need to get good.
Dark Knight in FF franchise: Infamously a drain tank
Dark Knight in FFXIV: Worst sustain tank
Make it make sense
I am DNC main, i provide the protect, will use the aoe heal to help the healer in a pinch instead of using it on myself cause the healer it's healing the dps, risk drawing aggro if the tank is getting overwhelmed and the healer is low on mana., and many others...Please tell me how that is being selfish?
Me: trying to listen to Xeno.
Sound alerts: we don't do that here.
"""""""dancer is a selfish dps""""""" ITS LITERALLY A TEAMWORK CLASS
This article described Paladin well enough. It is strong now, but it could use little boost to its potencies.
I'm so glad to see Xeno has the correct opinion about gunbreaker :')
"Selfish Dancer" is such an oxymoron in the world of RPGs. Who or what are they dancing for then? This HAS to be made from AI.
Paladin shining very bright for every healer in every Dawntrail Dungeon for sure. They’re dying faster than DD’s 😂 I feel like a babysitter when a Paladin tanks 🥲
This tier list makes more sense if you only take into account effectiveness in the lowest level of content, like fate farming and dungeons
I won't say this affects top end parses, but definitely the average, and is also just the kind of value that you won't see represented by something overly logs focused like this is.
fucking laughed my ass of when xeno could not say swathes and thought it to be a foreign word XD
Nin is a lot better than logs say rn. Both exs have annoying tcj timing and fuck with burst phases
So basically it’s the exact same tier list they did in Endwalker but with 2 new dps classes
I honestly wish Machinist could give more offensive buffs and this is coming from a Machinist player. As for my personal belief about Dismantle, I don't think it puts it above the other classes, especially Bard. Bard brings a lot to the table in terms of buffs
Machinist isn't S-tier by any stretch of imagination, but damn if it isn't fun to play.
"That's not even an American word!"🤣
The game journalist said dancer's "lower damage output and focus on offensive utility contrasts with the machinist's defenses and with more selfish dps". They saying machinist has the selfish dps compared to Dancer's non-selfish dps ("lower damage output and focus on offensive utility contrasts"). It's sounds weird because they said "with more" and should have typed "machinist's defenses and selfish dps". Maybe he's a idiot because "with more selfish dps", he should have been comparing to another selfish dps job like blm and sam. Even comparing to them, machinist does less dps than those because of mobility tax.
To be fair, I think the article was calling MCH selfish, not Dancer and was trying to compare the two.
To be fair the selfish dps was talkin about machinist. I would honestly change the thumbnail because its really misleading.
Shadow of death is the most important button for reaper. Without it double enshroud would stop working which is a lot of dps.
@@ruily276 Solving a Problem with another Problem?
I am a Dark Knight main and going through the story my healers died early (70%+) on almost every single dungeon boss and i had no issue making it through and keeping the dps alive as well. Self sustain isn't as braindead as the other tanks and they are absolutely fucked on trash packs without a healer, but DRKs still have enough for a dungeon boss.
Ya, bosses are way easier to tank then the trash mobs lol.
My living shadow keeps me alive every pull
I never used the "Trust" system and I've watched all the cutscenes on my first time in a dungeon... what's the issue with playing group content with an actual group huh
Scholar will always be awful to me until they get its button bloat under control.
bringing up Lion Heart as an iconic Limit Break, makes me think that if I was given Omni-Slash as a lvl 100 ability on Dark Knight, then I would literally not care about anything else. It could have the same HP as a mage with no mitigation and I'd still be okay with it because it's just that cool
Warrior is A tier.
it's the only one in S tier with the gunbreaker which is just a little less good 🙃
They're even wrong about the Dark Knight. Their 120s cooldown got buffed to Shadowed Vigil and now has a 1200 POTENCY HEAL.
A heal every 2 min does not mean that dark knight no longer has any self sustain issues. It's not even like you would want to use it for the heal since that's a waste of a 40%
@@retzerbil867 I've soloed bosses as DRK and it be tight enough on sustain that a 1200 potency 2 min CD heal would have made it super safe.

I love these articles that are just written by ChatGPT and shit out to capitalize on hype for the expansion instead of just hiring someone who plays the game to write it.
Side note: when calculating a job's damage output you should count the extra damage they contribute through buffing other jobs.

MCH is a selfish dps that doesnt even do more *own* damage than most non-selfish DPS

As i have always been saying for years:
"Game Journalist is another plague god send to us"
To play DRK is to suffer 😔
I usually wait till savage to judge damage. So many jobs last expansion were top tier on the extremes and then fell off hard in savage, and vice versa.
IT IS A FREAKING GAMERANT ARTICLE. Of course it is shit.
Dancer here. HEH????? Selfish???? The job that requires a partner to buff constantly???
For DRK they need to bring back sole survivor, maybe change it slightly idk how. And add a heal effect on TBN or something. Abbysal drain needs it's own cool down and heal a lot more than it does. That's just what I think though.
I only played dps in realm reborn. I first played tank in Heavensward as a Drk. I took it up cuz it was new and my friend needed either a tank or healer for queues. we were trying to clear Seph ex and the Pld told me that my drk wasn’t doing enough dmg to clear and suggested war… Been my main since and I haven’t looked back. Favorite moment my war my friend as a drg and a scholar carried our party through the final 10% of Sophia ex good times

Journalists making tierlists will forever be the funniest shit ever
realistically, what are the chances they fix blackmage, and how long would it take them? If black mage gets left in the gutter, that would be such a shame. its such a cool looking class. I wonder if the devs realize how poorly the black mage changes and the addition of picto affected the job
they severely underestimate the usefulness of a rdm/smn res. they can be the difference b/w a wipe and a clear.
You all need better reading comprehension skills, "... it's lower damage output and focus on offensive utility contrasts with the Machinist's defenses and with more selfish DPS." means they are saying the MACHINIST is the selfish one. It means the the Dancer's focus on utility contrasts with the Machinist's selfish DPS.
