Something that I recently found out (and I have been playing for quite a while) is that if you climb to the top of a lookout tower, walk around to the outside, go up against a railing and look out, you will get the option to find any near-by locations that you don't have on your map yet.

In case you forgot, this is how things were, BEFORE wastelanders dropped...No NPC's. All enemies were level 5, (count em, 5) One shot anything with a shotgun, until BGS nerfed it. PVP, scammers, and griefers EVERYWHERE. 76 is a totally different exp now.

tbh, i had avoided playing 76 until august this year as i saw it was free on game pass. apart from the stash box limit, it seems like a great game. i cannot to get to the level a lot of other players are at though. seem to shrug off most enemies in events and obliterate them easily. it is a struggle for me still.

My wife and I started this game last month on a whim and it's been surprisingly fun for a fairly watered down Fallout experience. The survival and exploration are better than ever in the series, but the writing and world consistency takes a nose-dive. The addition of NPCs is nice, but they stick out against the original design like a modern addition on an old house.
We found a lot of these tips the hard way over a month and a half of playing and it was bad enough that we both started new characters so we could start with a knowledge of what we were going to build towards.

Mutated serum recipes are a must if you buy a lot from vendors. Just one serum will sell for 500 caps if you have 15 charisma and hard bargain perk equipped. It's good to have a loadout just for this. When I get close to the 40k cap I often buy up the recall cards for encrypted and most lead, steel and acid bulk. Being able to sell serums to get back some caps is huge. Also I'm always sitting on 100k to 200k ammo this way I can use or sell which usually gets me back up to the 40k limit in short order.

I remember my first time leaving the vault. After running around for a bit to collect resources, I started to build an ugly ass starter camp. While I was mid-building, some dude dressed as Santa Claus showed up and dropped a ton of Ultracite PA plans, some Stims/Radaway, some Nuka-Cola Cranberry, and a ton of bulk Wood and Steel. Don’t remember their username, and I don’t think I’ve seen them since, but whoever you are.. thank you Mystery Santa. From the bottom of my heart: thank you. Now I always hang out around Vault 76 to give new players what I like to call “Free Starter Packs”. 15 Stims, 15 Radaway, 3 Nuka-Cola Cranberry, 4 Random CAMP plans, Level 1 Leather Armor (Chest and Arms), and 10 of any Pre-War food items. It’s always so adorable when they want to thank me, but they don’t know how to use emotes yet, so they just jump around and move their camera up and down. Even though this game does have issues, bless this game’s community.

A very important thing you missed, especially for new players, is that while on a team, you can fast travel to team members C.A.M.P.s for free.
Another plus, is that you can also fast travel to wherever your teammates are for free as well.
This is an awesome tool, for a new player, to get locations all over the map marked quickly, without having to spend any caps.
When developing some of my new character's, I always join many different public teams, to quickly get many places marked on my map.
Also, I took advantage of the sale, and am now on PC, LOL!
I couldn't resist the Steam version for $9.

You could do a Settler/Raider Reputation tip video. There's a few more ways to increase them with the last couple updates. Like, the event "Eviction Notice" = Settler Rep, "Moonshine Jamboree" = Raider Rep. The faction person that you give Esme's stew to will boost the corresponding Rep. In Rocksy's daily mission there is a dialogue option to send the Former Raider to Foundation and gives Settler Rep. For the Raiders, there is a location in the SW corner of the map along the river where you can bring them Mirelurk meat to get Raider Rep once a day.

My biggest piece of advice is to just take your time, slow down and read/listen to all the little lore and dialog bits you encounter. Don't try to rush to the "end game content" you're not missing anything. That said if you want to gain exp faster having a higher int stat gets you more. Even temporary buffs.

    Here is a tip.
    DO NOT LEARN EVERY PLAN.
when you learn a plan for a weapon or piece of armour, the main plans, not the mods.
It means that when you complete a quest, an event, a daily or OP.
Your loot table is polluted by that plan.
Oh look I just learned the plan to make 'a random piece of armour'. Now that random piece of armour is the the only thing that drops......
    DUH!

I really get a lot out of your vids. I have gleaned lots of tips that make the game a lot more enjoyable. On a personal level the lead tips have been very helpful. I used to run out constantly. Do you have any tips for fusion cores?

    • @diveranger100
      @diveranger100 Рік тому

Using fusion cores is a problem unless you have the perk card associated with them, I think it falls under intelligence or endurance (could be wrong on both accounts), as far as I know you only need a fusion core when you are in your power armor, so, limit your time in power armor, doing events, scorchbeast, test your metal, moonshine jamboree for example, If you plan on 24/7 usage, consider building or acquiring better suitable weaponry, equipping perk cards that match your character loadout, upgrading current power armor or just going for treasury notes events to convert them into bullion and get either secret service armor or stealth suit to travel around the map until you need to get into P.A.

    • @brianroth7640
      @brianroth7640 Рік тому

In the beginning collect them from any fusion reactor or random power armor suits you come across. Focus on having one suit in the beginning and put all the best armor pieces on it. Sell or break down pieces you don't use. When the power armor goes into your inventory it only counts the base weight of the suit which is 10 lb instead of each individual piece attached to it. Once you get high enough levels you will want to take over one of the power plants two of them I know of let you create power cores after you claim the powerplant workshop. You just have to build generators to power the machine that makes the cores. The perks reduce amount of energy used for most of your power suit actions which gives longer life to each core. If you can afford it buying the monthly fallout 1st subscription gives you a core recharger that will let you keep up to 4 cores charging at a time.

Then build a very big cool base for a full day, and then accidentally destroy it.
    I'm level 12.
Tomorrow I will build anew and this time not move it again.
Then it's off to play the game like a normal person.
    Maybe

The stash box limit is the only thing holding this game back. I recommend getting one month of fallout 1st when you're running out of storage, and storing all the ammo and scrap in the fallout 1st scrap box and ammo box.

When it comes to buying plans with Gold Bullion, keep an eye out for the wandering merchant Minerva who sells certain, rotating plans at a discount. This can save you some valuable gold over buying from Vault 79.
Also, when buying legendary armor or weapons from the Rusty Pick, you only have a chance to get legendary versions of items that you already know how to craft. I do not believe this restriction exists on legendary items looted from enemy corpses. As you play, consider not learning plans for weapons or armor that you do not intend to use, as you might end up wasting some legendary rolls before getting something you actually want.

I just started playing Fallout 76 after playing most of Fallout 3 & 4 and I am loving it~ but one major question that was answered here was "What do I do with all my legendary gear that can't be scrapped like the normal equipment?! Ita just sitting there wasting my precious carrying threshold!" 😂

Just got back into the game ..after its terrible balancing ..you know being lvl 145 and getting killed by a lvl 60 assault tron or a lvl 100 glowing whatever ..is no fun ..now it seems balanced ..as a melee build and not the best perks the Chinese stealth suit and the face breaker are fantastic farmed and crafted like 40 of them I play it more like a survival game ...and the double damage sneak attack gets me through tough times ... Its fun again ... The community has gotten better as I do daily ops with people that carry me while I stay in stealth getting sneak kills lol ..good times 👽👽🤘

A great way to get easy XP is when you get to the Brotherhood of Steel questline. Without spoiling it, there's a quest where you have to take on Super Mutants. When you get to the spot where you fight them, DO NOT continue with the mission objectives. Let them keep spawning, shoot them once and the BoS people will kill them quickly. They do NOT stop spawning, and at level 50 I was getting 100+ xp per kill. I just wish I brought more ammo, cuz I had no idea I could do that. I recommend bringing a lot of cheap ammo and yeah literally just one hit everyone and they'll literally do the rest for you and you still get XP./

Needeless say the game is great for people whole like open world and little interactions. At the beggining of release i loved how nitty gritry it was. Poeple used to run around woth melee weapons or shotguns and it was always a battle all over the map. People hunting everyone people griefing bases and random people coming to help save the poor sole beung griefed! !!!LOVE THIS GAME!!!!
yeah its kinda crap game/story but it reminded me of DIVISION and i love it.
