The Bus Rapid Transit system from Ruiru to the Kenyatta National Hospital was to begin operational by February 2022. A spot check by the Kenyan Historian shows a dire picture with economists maintaining that the 3 billion shillings already sunk in the project is going down the drain.

Well,you may called these ghost projects.However,if you really want to see a classic ghost project,please visit Cameroon where you will find an " express road " (which is not even closer to the one shown here) that was constructed and it ended half way in the forest. You will also find numerous electric dam projects that were built but none is producing or generating power. You will find a stadium where the AFCON finals took place and that stadium is still incomplete and has been abandoned. As a Cameroonian comparatively speaking,your kenyan ghost projects will be certified in cameroon as completed😂😂😂😂😂

Kenya leadership is more of reactive ....(short-sighted) they react according to events rather than proactive(applied in Tanzania leadership look 10 to 50 years to come)
Check the way they reacted after Tz launching its electric train... instead of them focusing on their northen corridor and put more emphasis to make sure their SGR reach South Sudan , Ethiopia amd other northern corridor land locked countries ...they rushed to sign contract with Uganda(which is included in Tz central corridor SGR master plan ) and they purchase new Vip coaches instead of investing those money to strengthen their Railway.
Check the way the Nairobi Gorvement reacted on the issue of BRT at outering.... and abandoned their plan on Thika roads... after hearing the whole Dar es salaam roads are under contruction to connect all the roads with BRT system ( a plan which was there since 2002 thats way road have enough space for that )
Check the way their government reacted on the issue of JKI airport and want to sale it to Adan...
just because the Tz constructed its JKN international airport terminal 3 and Aman Karume intern airport in Zanzibar to reach world class standard .

@@nicodemuszebedayo5978It's not copying TZ, Kenya had already planned for road, port and rail expansion in master plans to 2050. Both Northern and Central corridors are original EAC projects from the 2005/10 for (KEN, TZ, ETH, UG and later to RW, BR, DRC, SS - ports, road and SGR) The original SGR was electric not diesel. Commuter rail in Nairobi was proposed in 1970. Nairobi BRT in 2014 Nuplan.
There's brilliant minds who are not consulted and projects are done in secret like the SGR, Adani and SHA. The problem has always been political interference in implementation.
What was the 3B meant for ?stastions?

Why wasn't it done in a similar way to Expreesway or whatever it's called ? That the Chinese will build it and run it for 15 to 20 years and thus make a profit and pay for the construction. Now the money are gone and the service is nowhere and the places are deteriorating.

To be honest kenyans you are not serious with mass transport look at tanzania the way we are construction infrastrures kenyan brt is not as good as tanzania because you can not build only stations while use the same road brt must have its special roads and not as they look i do not know whats wrong with kenya when it comes to big projects like sgr brt airports ports and main more it is time to borrow a tree from tanzania
