    I was there that year, the high-dive act was incredible. They had a great bird show in that area too. The whole park was brilliant, Scotland's answer to Alton Towers really (on a much smaller scale), great selection of rides, the place was immaculately clean and the staff were all so friendly. I think entry that year was around £17, and that included all rides and attractions. The Twist 'N' Shout coaster was my favourite, though. Faster than it looked, and really smooth. Man, I really miss this park!

      It's a shame it closes down, we had a great day there when we visited.

    I was there when I was about 5 or 6 so many good memories. So sad that it's no longer there anymore.

      Yes, agree. It was by far the best park in Scotland.

      My dad had mistaken it for a bmb when he saw the name of it on a sign back when he worked as a courier through out most parts of Scotland when I was only 2

    What a cool place, to think that was 2009 as well do that was a pretty high standard for back then. What a shame it closed. I imagine the credit crunch of 2008 is to blame.

      Yes, along with a really bad year of weather. It rained pretty much all through the summer in 2009, so that along with everything else that was happening at the time forced it to close.

      Shame, are the coasters SBNO or did it all get sold?

    • @XtremeCoasters
      @XtremeCoasters  7 місяців тому +1

      @Retired_Vegan_Activist They got sold after sitting at the park for a fair few years. The Schwarzkopf looping coaster now operates at a park called Dalmaland in Croatia. It was cleaned up really nicely and reverted back to its original blue and white colours before the relocation. Some of the other coasters were sold to parks in France, Germany, Italy, etc, and are still operating.

    Are some of those rides former Benbom Brothers Dreamland rides?

    • @XtremeCoasters
      @XtremeCoasters  Рік тому

      Yes, most of the rides were. The original Looping Star from Bembom Brothers was also at this park for a few years in the late 1990's. Funnily enough, the Looping Star at Bembom Brothers was my first ever coaster. I was around 6 years old at the time. Happy memories 🙂
