My favorite barbering channel by far, love how you walk through each step and post the guards in the corner for those who need it. Excellent cut.

Honestly bro I’ve been watching barber videos for some time now and I’m in barber a school now and just barely getting the hang of fading and this was hands down the best video I’ve seen of 100s of videos done came across. Well explained , definitely a helpful video. Keep em coming🔥🔥🔥

Very clear and understandable explanation of how to fade! Most people explain as if you already know what you are doing. If I'm watching a how to video, then I obviously do not. Thank you!

Yo! I've been trying to fade for a very long minute now, I had tons of people try teaching me and I've always kind of got it but not really and the results show it through each hair cut I give my kid, I'm always 50/50 I'd do a good job one day and then trash the next, I'm never consistent and I've always never understood the reason why. That's until I came across this video, for real after listening to you explain as you faded that hair I all of a sudden had a eureka moment and finally everything started making sense (just like that Matrix ending when everything around Neo starts moving real slow finally realizing that he's the one). Your a heck of a teacher bro!

@@fdd198773 the savings on haircuts is a huge benefit and convenience of just being at home. I don’t plan on stopping, I’m just not extreme on switching styles up. I tried an aggressive part on my son clipping a little wider section and it was a fail. Luckily enough gel made it look semi intentionally that way. It’s how you learn. Luckily I’m not tattooing. Best of luck to you and your cutting!

Ive been watching vids all day n ur video with the steps is by far the easiest to understand because its in layers n u write the guards and open /closed on the screen n u dont skip steps they steps are consistent throughout every guideline. The worst part of cutting for beginners/new barbers is when the line is still there after the closed to open lever method doesnt do the job. The half guard is almost always needed

Thank you for such a detailed video. I am a mom of 5... 4 girls and 1 son. He loves his side part but he don't like going to a barber (he's 5). So I try to keep up with his hair (it grows so fast). I've watched countless videos and everytime I start to cut his hair I'm confused and got lost on what I'm supposed to do next. Your video makes a whole difference in my perspective, you have a different style of presenting your tutorial. Open means the blade moves back, and it’s not close to the cutting blade= longer hair because it’s not cutting as much. It’s equivalent to a “half” so if you add any guard and open the lever you’d get the # on the clipper + the .5 from the lever being open!

David can you upload a video on you barber chair price and review? That would really help to make a decision since I know nothing about chairs and quality.

Could you explain the open close method do you start off open and then close or open middle and then close?

David, I been hesitating about clipper over comb bro, I see barbers that use a lot and some don’t, instead of clipper over comb they use 2 open and then A 3 open . It takes longer with guards, should I use clipper over comb to cut time off the clock ? Or is it better just to downfade ?

Tbh bro I’m guilty of this shit too. I don’t use clipper over comb cause it’s not my strongest technique. I always prefer goin in w a guard but it always helps to get better at the things you’re not that good at. Keep refining your skills bro. If anything attach a #1 guard and do clipper over comb. It’ll help you out

I appreciate the honest respond bro, it is a very hard technique that I will keep working on. Thanks for your tutorials Bro, you have me the confidence that I needed to cut clean.

Awesome way of filming everything is good. I just could follow with the guards at the middle of the video.
It would be bette if u put a table with different guard colors
