They are both literally for monsters. In the books, Geralt only use silver sword on special kind of monsters and this silver sword is usually packed in Roach.
Of course, normal sword is also useful for stuff not related to hunting monsters like self-defence etc. but no, this "both are for monsters" isn't just a metaphor.

yeah one is for monsters and one is for non-humans
Som' folks around tell that witchers have two swords. One for monsters and one for humans. But with my experience, both are for monsters.

GreenHellTube I agree, its placed well in the game. It plays just enough for you to enjoy but also not all the time so you dont get tired of it. If this song played in the game, I knew something really important was about to happen, which is good.

This is the only game ever that after I finished it, I immediately replayed it again . Just couldn't get over it. Damn masterpiece to say the least.
Tempted to do the same, but first I have to finish HoS and BaW.
Same. Never played a game where I immediately restarted after completing the story, except this one.
Completed the story on Death March, restarted it on NG+ immediately on Death March and played through both DLC. The DLC were a no-brainer after the story.
I don't understand how people don't like the game but can play Dark Souls (also best for the heck of it) which doesn't really have a story unless you read about it.
I still haven't played it again because of how sad the ending was for me, even tho I got witcher ciri and yen

Every fight with this music in the background felt like a fight that determined the fate of the World! And especially playing as Ciri in the ending was probably the most bad-ass thing i have ever experienced in my whole gamer life.

For those who dont know yet, Geralt will be a fighter in the new Soul Calibur 6 game this year. This is the track that is going to be used in the Kaer Morhen arena that comes with Geralt.
Any character who dies in a previous episode is ass imo.

@@youarealwayscorrect Grand Theft Auto V wasn't even that revolutionary, to be fair. They still mostly use the same elements from previous Grand Theft Auto titles. Same case for Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar doesn't really make things different or new. On the other hand, CDPR raised the bar for future RPG titles insanely high with the release of The Witcher 3, which can actually be called revolutionary.
TH Maybe because Rockstar had a reputation whereas CDPR really came into prominence with W3. Don’t be bashing on GTA and RDR just because they’re rightfully popular
@@solitary2 played Gta San Andreas, Vice City, IV, V and Red Dead Redemption 2. Can rightfully say that nothing much has changed, besides an upgrade in graphics of course.
There were high expectations for Gta V for sure, and it was an amazing game in the beginning, but then people realize it has some mechanics worse than Gta IV and sometimes even SA.
RDR is almost the exact same... but with a way different theme.

You decide to help out the man in need, you slash the beast with your silver sword, causing it to retreat. You quickly gather your horse and begin chasing the wounded creature * music plays * 0:00 .
The chase comes to a stop as the beast can no longer fly due to the wounds you inflicted upon it. * music plays * 00:42 .
Feeling itself cornered, the Griffin prepares itself for its last stand, it ferociously growls at you. You draw your silver sword, provoking the beast even further, you take a step backwards, you feel uneasy for a slight second... what is this feeling? Hesitation? Fear? Most definitely not, you stared at death in the face countless times before. This... is something different, you can't quite put the finger on it, mutations have stripped you from emotion but you definitely feel it shiver down your spine.
Tis the thrill of the hunt.

This game was probably the best game I've played since late 2013, and probably my second or third favourite game ever. I finished it yesterday, and I'm immediately going back into it to replay it, to try and make a couple of different choices. I bloody love this game!

She's not a witcher tho, she trained like one and studied beasts all right, but she's not a witcher
Ciri is not a witcher, she was taught many things from the witchers. She doesn’t any witcher powers, but I think controlling space and time is way stronger than casting signs.
