A bit of background regarding the character that hangs around with the agent. His real name is Shaun Williamson. He is a real British actor, most famous for playing the character of Barry Evans in the famous UK soap opera “Eastenders”. In this show (Extras) he is playing himself - Shaun, an actor also looking for work who happens to share the same agent (Stephen Merchant) as Andy (Ricky’s character). The joke is that the agent is so useless, that he calls him Barry, whereas everyone else calls him by his actual name, Shaun. So when you see him in future episodes and hear him being called both Shaun and Barry, just note that his actual name in real life and the show is Shaun.
Did you know that Ross Kemp, Vinnie Jones AND Ricky Gervais all regard Kes as their favourite film ever. No doubt you'll not be surprised to hear that everyone appearing in Extras also list Kes as their favourite too!!!! The entire cast was astonished to find that nobody has done a reaction. Apparently, the word in the green room was that a beautiful and talented Canadian woman would be ideal. 🤞🤞🤞 here's hoping
Ive watched this series about ten times over and it never gets old lol Such a great original idea and you can see the actors involved love playing unhinged versions of themselves, and ricky is just a legend 😊
Hell yes was wondering when this was coming back to the channel haha. Great episode, seen so many times before and still love it. Excellent series every episode is great. After the series watch the bloopers - hilarious especially this episode
Chrissie, after watching your reactions for a while now, I'm starting to get an understanding of your taste in movies. I think you might like a film called A Place Beyond the Pines.
Yeah Chrissie this show was absolutely brilliant!!! You are going to TOTALLY piss yourself laughing like a nut job during the Kate Winslet episode, it is absolutely over the top!!! LMAO 🤣😂🤣
As a ricky Gervais fan for twenty years its his worst show to date its all old material he's mined from past shows and xfm it seems like I've heard everything in the show before .
I liked how most of your bursts of laughter had a slight overrun and after the opening scene where the screen was just the BBC logo, there was still a little bit of leftover chuckling going on in the background.
one actor incasualty knocked my brother down with his bmw , he said that he was only doing 25mph , but as we know bmw have abs breaks and at that speed can stop on a sixpense . he offered my sister in law money , she turned him down , when a witness said he was doing more than 25 mph the judge told him to keep with what was said in the statement . That judge was charged with taking money and with other cases to clear said names with not guilty . seems money talks .
The whole Casualty thing is a bit of an inside joke, cos literally every actor in the UK has appeared in that show at least once, and some very famous ones to boot (even if it was their first gig before they got big). So saying you've never been in Casualty (even as a dead body) shows you haven't even made it to the first rung yet!
Such a fun show, unfortunately some of the celebs are very British so maybe don't carry all the jokes across. Ross Kemp for example played a soap opera character Grant Mitchell, who was a bit of a tough guy. He then left and started doing lots of documentaries surrounding similar tough guy topics, the military, prisons, dangerous areas in various parts of the world type thing. Vinnie Jones was a nutter of a football player, not a great player but very old school, used to put in dodgy tackles so had a bit of a tough guy reputation. At the time they'd both be very well known in the UK.
Ross Kemp is a serious badass, he's done documentaries while embedded with British troops in Afghanistan, taking part in raids on Taliban strongholds, doing pieces to camera while bullets are whizzing past him. He's interviewed some of the most dangerous men on the planet, from inner city gangs in the US, to war lords in Africa and Asia.
@@Isleofskye I think the real first type of this show and doesn't get the credit internationally is Frontline from Australia. Ricky obviously knew of this show , Working Dog who made that have a show now called Utopia and that pretty funny in style of original Frontline / Office UK. I'm not so sure this is "gentle", I think there's a meta-level of scathing commentary to it. If you've ever seen Ross Kemp in interview... he speaks how he looks and takes himself way too seriously. You could watch this and easily believe he's in on the joke.
Another great episode! Full reaction available: patreon.com/chrissiereacts
Probably one of the funniest tv shows ever. Use of celebrities is amazing.
I can't watch these any more without picturing the bloopers! 🤣 Chrissie, please make sure you react to them when you have completed the season.
An absolute must, good shout .
“…put a bit of minge around it.”
One of the funniest lines ever written.
She was also lead in Agatha Raisin series and Ugly Betty. Thank you for sharing this

Maggie is an awesome character and her accent is amazing
Woohoo, Extras. Grrrrreat choice.
Your face was priceless after that fellas comment to Maggie 😂😂
Wait till she sees what Clive Owen says to her.
Actress Ashley Jensen appeared in Ugly Betty for about 4 years.
She also starred in another great series with Ricky Gervais Afterlife on Netflix.

You should try the bloopers from Extras. Absolutely hilarious.
I was thinking that when Ross was doing his outrageous scenes.
Girl in the toilet line is from The
I.T crowd, she's hilarious
Also i really feel bad for Ross Kemp at the end, that little face he makes when he says he only wants to act.
I only want to act 🥺👉👈
Oh wow, it is.
I’m so happy your doing these!
What 6 mins of a reaction? It's pointless

It's pure brilliance, I would have seen this ten times. My favourite episode is next, I love Kate.
I love episodes Bunny comes in.. lmao just thinking about him.
Sublime and a work of genius by Mr. Gervais.
The David Bowie episode is hilarious; he writes a song about him! 😅
Borderline spoiler and unnecessary. You can keep the first part without including the second.
Yeah Chrissie this show was absolutely brilliant!!! You are going to TOTALLY piss yourself laughing like a nut job during the Kate Winslet episode, it is absolutely over the top!!! LMAO 🤣😂🤣
I find it amazing that all the celebs accepted humiliation just to be in it.
Proper stars and real people, full credit 👍🥂👍
💯
Ricky Gervais' ''After Life'' is one of his best shows, it's hilarious, but also very emotional.
Ditto
I respect your opinion but after life is complete shite. Absolute fucking sentimental bollocks. It's shittyness legitimately angers me.

Already looking forward to the Kate Winslet episode
Great pick. Love the channel.
Great reaction! Thanks Chrissie! 😁
No its not other channels manage longer reactions
I think you'd really enjoy After Life, would recommend you react to that.
Kate Winslet is absolutely hilarious in it!!! My favourite episode!!! Be sure to watch the blooper compilations when you've finished the episodes.
Ugly Betty!! She was in the first three seasons of Ugly Betty.
Kate Winslet absolutely kills it in the next episode.
When the Tri-Corner hat fell off 🤣
That whole last scene 😅
I subscribed a few days ago and a film you should review is Jo Jo Rabbit. It's a pretty good movie.
Great videos. You should cover “ Derick ".
I never got around to watching this. I have no excuse now. Looking forward to the rest.

The Larry Sanders show was as good with celebrity guest roles .
