@@g.o.g4336 yeah, this game was remastered and re-released as a bonus with Assault on Dark Athena. I just bought it on PC so I could replay BB and AoDA again because they're amazing. I love the whole Riddick universe and lore
This game aged so well!!! My stepfather bought this game as a way of making peace with me. I miss him dearly. Thank you for this opportunity and this upload. 💔He passed away December 21st 2007. 💔
Holy crap this game came out the same year as GTA san andreas. The graphics are astounding. Can't believe it took me this long to find out about its existence. I've been a fan of Riddick since watching pitch black when I was 10.
Whether remastered or not. These are the perks with graphics you get in games with close quarters. Metro is another example of a game that aged extremely well. And it's cause the competition usually had to render whole worlds. I'm not downplaying them. It just happens that sometimes the story itself in its setting benefits the game developers to go ahead of their time in what they can do
Along with the general quality of gameplay; your camera work is just fantastic! Panning and movement is so smooth. The way you focus on details like the wall directions (51:05) to keep the viewer aware of the current objective is just genius. Honestly such great work dude!!
@dream Hey! don’t know if you found a copy yet but I just beat it today and I ordered mine on Amazon. Since it’s such an old game it is extremely unlikely you can find it in store
The new games are trash. That's why I'm always playing old games. People think it's weird. But the new shit just doesn't interest me at all. Games like timeshift, condemned criminal origins, and chronicles of Riddick just hit different and I bet they're more games like that, that I have not discovered yet.
Very well played. The whole thing is like a Riddick movie, seamless transitions and considerate pacing. I'd love to see you play Assault on dark Athena. I've tried to watch others play it but they tend to back peddle or get lost all the time and it breaks the immersion.
I would love to see a Riddick movie almost entirely focused on him in a max security prison and escaping from it. I mean, he was in a prison and escaped from it in Chronicles, but I think a movie similar to the Butcher Bay game storyline would be epic

This brings back so many memories from all those years ago. I remember being absolutely amazed by this game when I first played it, the graphics and the game mechanics were top notch for it's time. I played both this and the Dark Athena but Escape from butcher bay is my favourite. It would be great if they can come up with a new Riddick game.
Ive replayed this one countless times through the years and its awesome every time. The gameplay and story are awesome. From escaping the crazy prisons to prison yard brawls and mechs, alot of variety.
This is a game I always come back to because honestly it aged really well after all these years. I picked up my copy of Dark Athena in 2011 after discovering Butcher Bay playthroughs on youtube. Both Butcher Bay and Dark Athena are classic games.
One of my favorite single player games of all time. Never quite played another game that matched its atmosphere and pace. The original Xbox was a powerhouse!
Major nostalgia, I remember spending hours on this on original xbox and the remaster on 360. This was the definition of pinical gaming and you actually bought a full game aswel no drip feeding like all these big company's do now.
An underrated game at the time, but one that I have done several times. The sound environment and the gaphisms were (and still are) bluffing for a 2004 game.
If you are going for the smoke packs using this guides time stamps don't forget to talk to Shabby BEFORE entering the Infirmary, because he gives you the code. And if you enter the infirmary before talking to Shabby, you can't backtrack out of the infirmary

I think we need a riddick EFBB movie cuz one of the big things in riddick lore is his ability to escape from anything and anyone but his prison escape is only a short part of the 2nd movie
Man, this is some SERIOUSLY good presentation for a 16-year-old game. The graphics and audio are absolutely timeless...
Same here, I thought there was no way that this was released in 2004. It looks like Ghostrunner almost.
Dude it's remake of 2009, cuz this version comes along with assault on dark athena. Check out for real release of 2004. However that was cool tho.

Props to the developers (Starbreeze and Tigon Studios), for making this game.
