Very cool David! Your idea definitely helped. Someone mentioned another tweak to your idea I'll try next. That Realtree is some good camo. Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching brother

10 year old me: watching Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner, Ant & the Aardvark; 61 year old me: watching some mad genius roll around in the woods on an exercise ball LOL. The tip with the tent pegs blew my mind. I personally haven't had any issues but wow, that was a brilliant solution if there's a problem! I've considered making such a table but I think I'd use 3 legs only, 3 points make a plane and it's less to cut. But considering you used 4 I bet I'm wrong!
Lol! Well either way Im glad you liked it. I have three and four leg tables. The three leg are better but this one worked best as a bike shelf. Thanks for watching

Dave and a bungee sitting in a tree, C,O,O,K,I,N,G! Love these multiple-idea videos, Dave. Particularly the use of bungees; so much emphasis nowadays on using paracord for ridgelines and tie-downs but bungees don't pull the material too tight. Keep up the good work!

Awesome collection of creative and ingenious ideas here Dave! That viewer suggested shelf mod was downright clever too! In this episode of Chef Dave in the Woods... How to build a complete dining room with shelves, turn your regular bed into an adjustable bed, practice isometric exercises and much more all packed a single episode!
You will have to forgive Chris. Our neighbors were gifted California sparkling wine ( poor man’s champagne) and left it by the mailbox along with donated church food. We had a bottle with strawberries from the farmer’s market last night. His family are coming out to meet me. I’m making coffee . He’s dangerous half asleep. We loved visiting as always! Amanda
Another good video, Dave. Always a bonus seeing your ideas. I like the shelves and the mod. That would make them more versatile and more user friendly. Couple those with the standing cooking system, and that would be great. As you stated, the more you don't have to squat or kneel on the ground, as you get older, or have knee and / or hip issues, is a plus. I still love camping and taking the grandkids out, but just don't enjoy the getting down on the ground much anymore. You use your noggin and think, then come up with something. Then that makes us have to think as well. God bless ya'll, my friend . Ya'll stay safe out there on your adventures.
Thanks Brian, I'm glad you liked it. Ground cooking is for young people. Lol. I'll probably be using these shelves with my Tree grill. Thanks for watching and may God bless you too brother
Great video Dave. The exercise ball is a neat idea. The new bag looks like it will definitely come in handy for a bed. Or a potato sack race 🤣. I agree with another comment I seen. You have to be the most inventive/resourceful bush crafter there is. Take care and stay healthy. Can’t wait till the next video.
Thanks Matt, Im glad you liked it. Man you wouldnt believe the comments for ideas for that stroller bag! I love making and modifying gear. Thanks for watching
Dave: I was gratified to see you using the "billy club grip" with the lanyard on your machete. I've written and told folks about it for years, but you're the first I've seen who actually uses it. It is so much safer than the typical "thong around the wrist" method. (Ask me how I learned that lesson, some forty years ago.)
So fun!!! Keep those wheels turning Dave…the end products of your churning mind is always so innovative and useful….besides we love watching! Dave you never cease to amaze. So many good ideas. The next thing you know you will figure out how to make a Laz-e-boy recliner out of steel rods and bungee cords, pile it all in your backpack and take to the woods.
Lol, thanks James! Actually I did make a bushcraft recliner out of canvas and webbing several years ago and put it on video. Take care and thanks for watching brother

One of my favourites Since the beginning. Love the content And honesti of your channel Always back for the next vids. Keep doing what you do Dave. Big Shouts from Spain ....
Good stuff Dave. I know you already have the tables made but if you make some in the future just include a 2-3" tongue sticking out the back and bent upward at 90 degrees.....then use a bungie or buckle strap around the tree and cross over the tongue. That way you have one less part to deal with. I like those tables. The tent stake tip is awesome and of course the table that takes the limb legs is stellar.
Thanks Wayne, I'm glad you liked it. That 2 to 3 inch tongue idea would definitely work but my only issue with that is it probably wouldn't pack flat into that green bag. I need something pegged or folding. Thanks for the idea and thanks for watching
Those Bungie cords are a real piece of creative skills and ideal for fitting the different tree situations at camp sites on the fly and reduce work keeping your goods off the ground. Camping is enjoyable when it's fun and less stressful keeping things in order with improvised systems , like with the big bag bugie the open end to carry grasses and around your neck 🧣 if a monsoon sets in 😃
I can't believe the things I learn on your channel. So many useful ideas!! Thanks for the encouragement at the end there, Dave. I was waiting all day to watch this. I quick downloaded it to my phone this morning but where I was there was so little signal I couldn't get UA-cam to load. So saved the best for last. :) The balance ball idea is very doable it seems like. And the machete and knife setup is cool.
Yes, don't want a camo coloured bike when out doing stuff in the woods or you might have a long walk home.😅 Looking into seating options is definitely a good idea, sometimes when you've put in the miles or been extra busy you just need a proper sit down for half an hour that doesn't involve another 2 hours of dragging logs about and cutting them to size. If you cut 4 posts about 2 feet each, unzipped the stroller bag all the way, put the posts in a sqare about a foot apart and put the stroller bag upside down ontop of the posts so the ends are the bag, youd have a roof and your upper body covered (sat down) in a pinch.
Hey Dave great video n ideas. Never thought about the exercise ball idea👍🏻. For the youngins wondering thats old school Trebark Camo clothes. Still great Camo if ya can find it.. Merry Christmas Dave n family🙏👍🏻👏🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! This is the only set of Trebark I have left. I only show them off on video now. Lol. Thanks for watching Gary and I hope you have a Merry Christmas too!
dave, i have an idea, get 2 of those vertical rods and run them through the table tops. you have to remove your rods in the table top to do this then, use the bungies to hold the rods against the tree. i hope you understand my explanation. you insert one of the vertical rods in the top table top and with the same rod insert it into the bottom table top. do the some on the other side and then bungy. let me know if my idea flies or not.
Nice ideas....maybe also possible..to sit in the bag...over you, a poncho or an umbrella..so you are save in rain and wind...collecting wood..for a fire and store it, protected from rain in this sack, ...have fun outdoors an stay healthy😊
Hey Dave! I like the tent peg tip. I use the nail style from Harbor Freight and made a small leather keeper for the sharp points, but suspect your tip will work even with those. I'd almost bet instead of using that large stroller bag to haul grass, just use it instead of a trash bag for a bed. Have an awesome weekend brother, see ya on the new one.
Thanks, Im glad you liked it. Yep, turn any sharp points inward and itll help. Good thinking on the stroller bag! Its like a bed with shoulder straps for hauling! Thanks for watching
that outro is amazing and very well done. thought about the tree table with the bent rod. what would happen if you rotated the bent metal rod. so that one side would span the left side for both tables and the other rod would span the right. the next thing would be to fit a hardpoint to the center bend for a bungie to pull the thing out. I would think the setup might be a bit odd with the tables not holding the rod. might have to get a folder clip or spring clamp to hold it while attaching the bungees.
Tips and tricks videos are my favorite. I loved the idea of using an exercise ball and the slow motion explanation of how you use your lanyard on your machete really helped. I have some shoulder problems and am not strong or coordinated enough to flip it up the way you do.
Love the paracord lashing to the machete sheath. kind of like what I do. A tip to help with the cord slipping off at the bottom use a length of the cord and weave it up through the wrap and then go behind the knife sheath then do the same going down the other side. all ya have ta do then is a shorter weave to anchor in the cord then cut it to length and push under the rest of the cord. that also has the benefit of adding a little extra cord if the need arises. great vis as always Dave. thanks for the ideas that are swimming in my head. lol
ok, it was me that suggested another piece to stabilize the shelves.

Those Bungie cords are a real piece of creative skills and ideal for fitting the different tree situations at camp sites on the fly and reduce work keeping your goods off the ground. Camping is enjoyable when it's fun and less stressful keeping things in order with improvised systems , like with the big bag bugie the open end to carry grasses and around your neck 🧣 if a monsoon sets in 😃
Exactly! Those bungees definitely make camp chores easier and more fun. Take care and thanks for watching Travis
A really worthwhile video to watch. The ideas were amazing and realistically helpful. Thank you Dave.
Thanks Rachel! I'm glad you liked it and thanks for watching

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching
Thank you. I also appreciated comment not focus on dramas in life but go out and enjoy life. Great timing. Thank yog
I'm glad you liked that and thanks for watching
I can't believe the things I learn on your channel. So many useful ideas!! Thanks for the encouragement at the end there, Dave. I was waiting all day to watch this. I quick downloaded it to my phone this morning but where I was there was so little signal I couldn't get UA-cam to load. So saved the best for last. :) The balance ball idea is very doable it seems like. And the machete and knife setup is cool.
Fantastic to hear that and Im glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
Hello David merry Christmas to you and your family thank you very much for all the great tips bushcraft God bless you always stay safe outdoors
Hello Lewis and Im glad you liked it. Thanks for watching. Merry Christmas and may God bless you too!
Dave made a treecliner out of an exercise ball.👍
Lol, I like that name!
I have a similar rack I've modified,
Will have to get a vid up of it 🤘
Really! I'll have to see that!
@@Reallybigmonkey1 I did have a few vids on it but had an episode and deleted my content /shrug...
But I will get something up soon on it 👍
Dave you could rivet a center tube shape on your shelves on the bottom to put the new support in to eliminate the bungee.
Good idea Bryan!
Nice one thanks Dave keep them coming till the next video see you later mate
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it and lots more to come!
Excellent 👍
Thanks, I love that upside down stroller bag idea! Thanks for watching
Good vid.
Im glad you liked it. Thanks for watching
Soooo much fun in the woods! Thank you!
It's always about fun! Thanks for watching
Lol. Thanks for watching Gary and I hope you have a Merry Christmas too!
dave, i have an idea, get 2 of those vertical rods and run them through the table tops. you have to remove your rods in the table top to do this
then, use the bungies to hold the rods against the tree. i hope you understand my explanation. you insert one of the vertical rods in the top table top and with the same rod insert it into the bottom table top. do the some on the other side and then bungy.
let me know if my idea flies or not.
I understand and I like that idea!
Nice ideas....maybe also possible..to sit in the bag...over you, a poncho or an umbrella..so you are save in rain and wind...collecting wood..for a fire and store it, protected from rain in this sack, ...have fun outdoors an stay healthy😊
Thanks and I like those ideas!
Good to see you Dave! Bin stores are great for gear! Mr. B keeps asking "Is he your brother?"
Always great to hear that! Is who my brother?
@Reallybigmonkey1 You,Dave are my bin store brother.
that outro is amazing and very well done.
thought about the tree table with the bent rod.
what would happen if you rotated the bent metal rod. so that one side would span the left side for both tables and the other rod would span the right. the next thing would be to fit a hardpoint to the center bend for a bungie to pull the thing out.
I would think the setup might be a bit odd with the tables not holding the rod. might have to get a folder clip or spring clamp to hold it while attaching the bungees.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I like the sound of that idea, I may try that
hey dave buddy good to see ya post . hey in case i dont get to later a very merry Christmas and a happy new year brother .
Always great to hear from you and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas too!
Fun in the woods with Dave Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching David
Tips and tricks videos are my favorite. I loved the idea of using an exercise ball and the slow motion explanation of how you use your lanyard on your machete really helped. I have some shoulder problems and am not strong or coordinated enough to flip it up the way you do.
Fantastic to hear that and I'm glad you liked them!
Love the paracord lashing to the machete sheath. kind of like what I do. A tip to help with the cord slipping off at the bottom use a length of the cord and weave it up through the wrap and then go behind the knife sheath then do the same going down the other side. all ya have ta do then is a shorter weave to anchor in the cord then cut it to length and push under the rest of the cord. that also has the benefit of adding a little extra cord if the need arises. great vis as always Dave. thanks for the ideas that are swimming in my head. lol
I'm glad you liked it and thanks for the info!
