I ended up finding out my maternal ancestry is Fulbe (Niger w/ ancient ties to NE Africa). It all makes sense; my family always passed the oral history of the women “tackling (restraining) cows/bulls” and too, my maternal ancestors look almost identical to former First Lady Aissa Diori. He is teaching Pular (spoken in Fuuta Jallon, in modern-day Guinea-Conakry). I am currently learning it as I have discovered that I descend from the Fulani people.

Absolutely not. Fulanis are native to west Africa. Precisely in the Senegal river. Border Senegal/Mauritania. We fulanis are not from the Middle East or anywhere else. We are indeed native of west Africa From the Senegal river fulanis immigrated Cross Africa.
