That was the CEO of the Hamilton Hospital. He was fired by the hospital for his xmas trip and since the firing was legally without cause he got his contractual 24 month payout. BTW the CEO of CBC spent xmas in Brooklyn and the head of Radio Canada (CBC french service) spent xmas in Miami.

@@skijet12 The CBC details were published in the National Post today. Look for "Colby Cosh: Escaping politicians and CBC execs show that even Canadians can only take so much Canada". The whole situation is a sad commentary on both leadership and on the cancel culture that leads to flushing a million dollars down the toilet. We'll see if the CBC exec get a pass, or if it even warrants a mention on CBC.

He visited his daughter and family in the Canary Islands over Christmas and then argued that it was essential. And he’s the guy in charge of Crisis Preparedness for the country. But he was pressured into stepping down.
Don't forget he told Ford where he was going 2 weeks before he left, then he was told to come home so Rob can throw him under the bus before he would actually own up to knowing.

And the cherry on top: the CEO of the CBC spent Christmas in Brooklyn, and apparently has been coming and going throughout this, and the Head of Radio Canada (the French language CBC service) spent his Christmas in Miami. I’m so pissed. I’ve been working from home for a year, not meeting my friends or my family, not celebrating my birthday and ranting on the internet commenting on UA-cam and this guy gets to go to St. Bart’s? I’m sure the spike is because of people vacationing abroad and bringing back the virus. I know friends who’ve traveled to Mexico, the Bahamas and the US by flight. They follow the 15 day quarantine in both places but I’m not sure how effective that is, if you contracted it the last few days before departing your holiday destination.

@@stoptrudeau42 Not the same thing. My 12 year old son's paediatric follow up appointment in April was moved to a phone call in May. I tried to explain he was losing more weight and I was concerned but was told it was more likely a psychiatric issue and to wait for an appointment with a psychiatrist. We kept going back to the ER about it his nausea and weight loss but were told to be patient. Late September his family dr decided to do the same blood tests yet again and the ultrasound that was cancelled back in April. But it was too late. He turned yellow, threw up green and urinated brown all starting in a 12 hour window. It was cancer. They missed an aggressive cancer. He died January 2nd and we're still in shock.
My family made REAL sacrifices in health care and followed the rules and yes, we went outside numbnuts, meanwhile this fucking asshole is taking a vacation in the Caribbean. I'm really fucking angry! My son didn't get a final wish or do anything fun at the end. He didn't get to see his friends. He didn't get to be with his cousin's and aunts and uncles at the end. So why in the fuck do these politicians get to lecture us while they're going on beach vacations? He can go hang himself with his intestines.

@@stoptrudeau42 I do go out for walks and to buy groceries, but I do miss my family and friends. My dad and my brother have a pre existing condition - bronchitis - and I can’t visit them without risking infection.

It doesn't matter which party or whether provincial or federal many politicians left the country to vacation over the holidays. This particular one was the worst of the worst in terms of dishonesty. They want us to be terrified of Covid but they sure aren't. No one who is afraid will travel abroad. So what do they all know & aren't telling us?

But with each accusation and each action taken we effectively move further away from our previous ordinary. He tried to get a deal for vaccines with China first and then that fell through and he was behind other countries for ordering vaccines after that! Like who, in their right mind, would trust anything coming out of China after what they have caused in the world?! He has let flights continue to come from China as well as every other country and they were not tested properly or made to quarantine for 2 wks once here, he left areas open for illegals to just flood into Canada, via Roxham Rd, as an example, among other things he could have done but didn't. He waited too long to act on everything about this whole pandemic. Now all government bodies in all parties are just trying to control everyone instead of trying to find solutions that work. So much could have been avoided, if Turdo had acted right away! I don't trust him or any of the parties now for our safety and you shouldn't either! Just because Canada has the most vaccine contracts per capita means nothing unless the vaccines are here and doing what they are supposed to do. Besides, there hasn't been enough testing to know that the so called vaccines are safe yet.
