- The 7th round of the 5th Stratego WCO vs Henrydomerkant.
Henry has been one of the toughest opponents for me to beat for some reason, so I decided to try something quite different this game.
Try Stratego: www.stratego.com/en/play/ - Ігри
Marshall and general in front rows. Wow
Love it
Very good videos man! Very interesting to see players like u playing
Thanks! hoping to upload some more soon :)
@@losermaker2623 Yea my father showed me this game when I was like 5, I just went back to it now like 12 years later lol. I'm very in it right now and I would like to talk with u once
@@shalevisaac3797 That's awesome! I first played when I was 3, then found it again around 10yrs and been loving it since :). What's your username? I can send you a friend invite and maybe we can play a game sometime.
@@losermaker2623 My ingame is ShalevIsaac, im not high ranked but i feel way more smarter than the people I fight against and still losing, maybe its my setup I have no idea lol. Do you have discord?
@@shalevisaac3797 ah cool, there is a stratego discord if you search "stratego discord" in the forums you will find the link. I'm on that.
Hey no problem, but do you mind if I problem your mind?
stratego is a very great game for its time. my dad still can't best me
Do you ever play the short game (10 piece) to improve your long game (40 piece)?
Hi Ron,
No, the Duell (10 piece) is quite a different game that requires very different, more aggressive tactics and risk-taking. I have played the short game before though, however, I prefer barrage (8 pieces).
@@losermaker2623 Thanks! I'm pretty terrible at the duell (10 piece) but never heard of the barrage (8 piece). I've been playing Stratego since 1974 and my online username is Boardgamedude.
You play very well, thanks for showing us and helping us get better.
@Loser maker I've played against some blitzers lately and I don't really know how to play against them. The problem is that my setup isn't made up to play against blitzers and they take some pieces in the beginning before I can move my higher pieces to stop them. It usually results in a swap game and a frustrating end where I lose because of the lower taken pieces in the beginning. (I hope it makes sense what I'm saying).
I have noticed that there are no vids on yt about how to stop a blitzer. Could you make a vid about it when you have some time?
Thanks in advance.
Here are some tutorials, videos and setups to help your defeat blitzers:

@@gingerbreadmanstratego7664 Thanks!
@@bagfullofmoney no problem. I used that antiblitz setup to get my first wins online.
Now I've gotten much better at the 2-square rule and use a normal setup and keep my high pieces diagonal from a blitzing marshall.
Although If my opponent has a crazy amount of games played I'll probably use an antiblitz setup because they tend to be blitzers who play really quick games.
Hey Not Serious! Sorry I did not reply to this sooner, I didn't see the notification. I have had some problems with my current recording software that is causing lag, but I hope that soon I will have a new PC to upload more content. This is definitely a topic I would love to tackle. Hopefully soon with a commentary video :D. Good luck on the battlefield!
At 24:00, why did you decide to not take the red piece (colonel, I think) with your Marshall and instead sacrifice a sergeant to the General? I'm new to the game, so I don't understand judgement calls like this yet.
Sergeants and other low pieces are good for scouting, but since the General already acted, I was curious if you had another motive for attacking it and losing a piece.
* The piece you took with Marshal was not a colonel but a captain. My bad
Hey Dank Memes,
At that point, I only had his general stuck, but not trapped, so there was no way of capturing it with my marshal. I wanted to take the other piece (captain) but had to keep my major safe. So, I had to sacrifice the lieutenant (keep diagonal with major) and take the capt.
Google Translate.
@@losermaker2623 you are very best in my favourite game Stratego. Thanx for your videos, i hope you upload new ones
When is the next online championship
Hey, probably around August. You can keep a lookout at this link: forum.stratego.com/forum/39-online-world-championship/
What program did you use to record your game?
Movavi screen capture 8. It's a paid program though.
Movavi Screen Capture 8. It is a paid program.
@@losermaker2623 I figured out I can use MS PowerPoint to record it LOL not sure if I can upload it but at least I can analyse the gameplay.
Just learned about this game recently, it seems pretty interesting
Hey IronMan, it sure is once you get the hang of it! ;). Do you play at stratego.com?
gg
Lol, "you don't know how to play" followed in the same sentence by "you only post victories not losses"... that's deep. Btw: ua-cam.com/video/NlyrZkS7XrY/v-deo.html
