For me, debates should have started right after the deadline of filing of certificates of candidacy so people can make an informed choice. And the electorate can verify certain matters about candidates that would weigh in during their selection. The candidates must concentrate on their respective campaigns because the debates have very limited time for candidates can expound on their platforms.
To win the war, you have to choose your battle wisely. You can't fight in every battle or you will burn out early. BBM has the wisdom to know this. It's panic mode for the yellow or pink camp now. ❤❤❤✌👊💚💚💚 #BBM4President2022 #SARA4VP2022

Prof Aries is too idealistic and his opinion doesn’t reflect the situation on the grounds. Prof. Antonio showed his experience. Even in a mature democratic process such as the United States, debates doesn’t move the dial too much to favor one candidate. I mean this in a modern election process. The faster the news are circulated the more it dilutes these debates and mainstream media.

Mas masigasig maghanap ng information ang generation na di kinalakihan ang internet na kailangan maghanap sa library ng studies related sa thesis nila. Nasasabi ko yan dahil na experience ko yan sa thesis ko sa undergraduate degree dahil kailangan maging matiyaga sa paghanap ng information sa library. Ika nga ng master's thesis adviser ko, di ginagamit ang smartphone and internet ng karamihang Filipino ng tama para maging productive at nauubos lang ang data sa social media.

Debates or forums or interview would only matter only if the context of that debates or forum is really vital and important to the issues of the country. Sorry to say but the KBP forum was really boring. An ordinary citizen would not be interested to watch that. It is like watching a webinar. The Jessica Interview was an interview not on a presidential level. It was more like of a showbiz or game show that's why the presence of the candidate did not really matter. However on the other interviews really made a big impact because the intelligence, wit, analyzation and how well the candidates know the different issues of the country and how would they be able to solve it. Most of the Filipino people these days are smart, intelligent and not stupid whom they want to vote.

Prof. Contreras' analysis is excellent. His objectivity enabled him to observe and digest facts. Prof Arugay also pointed a lot of good things but I didn't understand what he was trying to convey in democracy is not just majority rules but also accountability in this context.
