This was a throwback fave in an all-female rooming house where I lived my senior year at Berkeley. When one of us on the side of the house facing the Beta Theta Pis came in with a guy, and pulled down the shades, the Betas erupted in ear-splitting screaming and whooping. (Just jealous, we guessed.) The rest of the girls would sing “Silhouettes, silhouettes, silhouettes...”!

Lek Leckenby plays lead guitar but did not on the single recording, that was Vic Flick but that was down to producer Mickie Most who always used session musicians as he didn't like spending more than 15 mins on a song..

Yes - What I hear is an OVERLAY on top of the original that adds dynamic range. Thai's why for the pruists I also uploaded 'VER-1" which is the highest quality actual 1965 STEREO that I could find. HERE is the 1965 version if you want to compare:
