I am definitely going to buy the Odin 2 Max with the PlayStation 1 Buttons! Will never need to buy a portable handheld ever again, unless it's OLED, same battery or better and can play PS3 and Xbox360 flawlessly! Great Video! I love the mod! I will be playing my old PlayStation 1 games - MEDAL OF HONOR, MOH: UNDERGROUND, HOGS OF WAR, FUTURE COP, SOULBLADE and more!
I always thought of the cold grey as a solid Nintendo colour meant for the purple buttons, but that really looked like a PS1. Very impressive! The video was a bit too fast though, and not any more helpful than the one Sakura put out as their tutorial. I was hoping for actual instructions.
Got my buttons early, but still waiting for my rings to come separately unfortunately. I do also have the cold grey color way and LOVE how it looks! Great video
Hey man, i got the same buttons but it's extremely hard for me to put the little rings inside, when i try to put back the board they always move, do you have a technique/tip or something ? Because i managed to only put two rings and the feel of the buttons isn't that great not gonna lie
The same thing happened to me when I ignored the rings at first. As I mentioned, I had to redo everything to put them on. It was very fiddly, not gonna lie. What worked for me was holding onto Odin 2 with my right hand while placing the rings with my left. Because if I let the device lie on a table, I always managed to bump into it when I was putting everything back, causing them to shift.
I never understood why companies who do the "SNES" variants went with the US and didn't go SFC. I way prefer the colored buttons of the SFC to the gross lavender and purple of the US console's buttons. I wonder if the colorful option with the "GRAY" case gets Nintendo's Copyright lawyers all aroused and litigious. Then do it in the XBOX color scheme. I miss "jeweled" buttons on consoles. I mean I guess Xbox 1 stood alone in that regard, but I kind of liked it.
I agree with you, I love anything US-SNES or DMG inspired but the final reveal on this device caught me way off guard. This mod gave off some amazing PS1 vibes that blew me away.
Just ordered a set for my black Odin. Now it will truly be the portable PS2 we all wanted when we were kids
Looks even better than I imagined when I first saw the Odin 2!!
awesome tutorial were did you get your live background ? its awsome

That's pretty awesome!
It looks like an official Playstation product.
Because of xcloud, I would use xbox layout.

Man I would do this in a second but I couldn’t risk messing something up on my Odin pro… I got the rainbow configuration but this is way better!!
Nice but i think im gonna pass on opening up my device 😂

Oh, weren't they included in your box?
That's a PlayStation not a PS2... The black model would be a PS2.
Tell me, where can I buy PS buttons for Retroid Pocket 4 Pro?
Wonder if there will ever be white buttons
I got the clear blue but not sure if i will change any button as im not expert on this. But i am tempted, thanks for the guide
Thanks for commenting! :)

@@Techcraversis it really that better with the rings because have the same problem and without the rings the feeling is to short by press the Buttons
@@foenizia3039 Yes you must have the rings in place.
@@Techcravers What exactly do these rings do? Like their function on the inside and why they're important
why did you need to remove the joystick?
It's in the way.
Its strange how they made the buttons smaller than the odin 1
Damn I want to put my buttons on, but I’m nervous I will mess it up. Lol
It’s easy as long as you take it step by step!
@@Techcravers thank you watch, appreciate it. 👍🏼 hopefully I’ll be brave enough to do it. lol

I personally agree, but I suspect that more people have the nostalgic connection to the US version than the PAL version.
@@Techcravers True. I mean I grew up with the SNES and not SFC. Just the SFC is more visually appealing.
High tech cravers is it possible you can slow down the video because it’s so fast. It would help all of us.
Hell naw. I wouldn’t
Mess with it.. might end up damaging it
Blasphemy! Who gets a cold grey and removes those perfect buttons.
Someone who doesn't like those perfect buttons ;)
Where did you get the live wallpaper from?
