Why do these representatives and senators not understand that the first amendment still applies within their chambers? You can absolutely make disparaging remarks about members of Congress in their presence. To say otherwise would be a direct infringement on the freedom of speech.
To be fair, I can understand having rules to limit gratuitous insults, or general lack of decorum, during hearings/debates/sessio/etc.
If only to prevent everything from degenerating into people insulting one another. That kind of prevents any sort of work from being done, and the government or court systems would become even more locked up in doing nothing.
What that person did looked pretty fine to me. No screaming, no random mud slinging or loaded words. Just calling out liars.

The point is to have the critics and the unhappy folks think "at least they talked about it", because that's all it takes to disarm a people from revolting. Same with presidential elections; "at least I voted", or when they feign coming for your guns but then withdraw; then people will think "yeah, we have gun rights after all". When the de facto reality is something else entirely.

Oh, I wouldn't count it out yet. Sometimes it comes back. Having seen lots of cancer cases both "survivors" and those that did not survive, I can assure you the damage done by treatments alone is very hard to over come even at a younger age. It shortens anyone's lifespan. At his age, the damage will lead to his early (not early enough) death.
