Absolutley loved the new addition of the judges comments on the screen while doing dressage! Keeps me as a viewer more engaged and to try to see what the judges are looking for, please continue with it!!
the judges Comments were very productive and fair. love to see that, especially from what i hear from my friends in Dressage about some judges. lovely rounds
An hour-long vlog, Jammy looking beautiful against the green grass and yellow dandelions, the return of Pete's Eats, *plus* a great result - what a treat for all of us! Congrats and well done on dealing with less-than-optimal conditions :D
Love love LOVE being able to read the judge’s comments during your test. Well ridden considering the lack of opportunities for events and the excitement Jam had. Lovely to watch.
It hilarious to see you chatting away after the cross country while your mum is working away getting studs out and washing Jam down in the background - I know that isn't how you operate, Meg, but it is cute how great your mum is at letting you do your thing while industriously taking on all the grooming etc
LOVE the judges comments on screen, just would love some more time to read the end comment! (I’m too busy drooling over Jammy to read fast 😅) Would love a pre-Badders breakdown of all the different gear you use and why you use it! Bits, bridles, nosebands, boots, all of it! 🤩
Loving the voiceover from Hobbs, soo calming, and the judges notes are a beautiful touch. You are soo thoughtful Meg Mog. Well done team Elphick and GLM 💋❤️💋❤️
Loving the judges comments Meg, I’m always interested in what they have to say. Also, Hoorah for Hobs’ commentary!!! And finally, well done on a blooming stinking 2nd place. So chuffed for you 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I just love every single video you put out, Meg! I appreciate how much you give credit to your horses, but you have to give yourself some credit too! ❤ You rode well, the hiccups were not as big as you thought! 🥰 I do love that the focus is on Jammie, and her performance, which is what I love about your channel - especially when in some upper level dressage it's all about the rider. Oh and "the horse" 😢 Your passion and very obvious love for your horses shines the most, keep up the great work, Meg 😊❤️
I feel so proud of you as I watch you gallop around the xc course, doing what you love even though you are nervous. Fear from falling off your horse is a very real liability that takes time and courage to handle. I suffered a brain injury from a fall 9 years ago. I have learned to be more careful and aware of myself and my horse and my surroundings while riding. It made me ‘ sharper’ which in turn has built my confidence. You’re doing so well Meg. Be kind to yourself - you deserve support from yourself.❤
Well done!! The mental thing about dwelling on mistakes is not uncommon, especially when you truly care and want always to do/be your best, which you clearly do. Maybe treat yourself the way you would treat others and be a bit more forgiving of your mistakes, learn from them, then let them go. We are always our worst critics. You are a really lovely rider.
Loving the production of this video allowing us to see the dressage test comments but not losing Hob's commentary and all the slow mo. Great run before badders
Congrats on 2nd place Meg and Jam Bam!🎉 That pony can jump anything out of any stride, she's incredible and Meg's adaptive riding creates such a fab partnership. Can't wait to see how Winnie and Wilma are doing ❤
OMG what an absolute angel Jammy is... I literally timed my break at work to watch this video.. to see her now from the quick sales video when u got her.. absolutely amazing 🎉🎉 Well done both of u. Can't wait for Badders!!
Everything just gets better and more up-hill, all round, Elphick Event Ponies. WEll done team. Loved the tripart screen, showing same jump, different angles. Congrats :)
Just rewatched this vlog. What a brilliant start to your season plus a huge boost for Badders 👏👏 I took on board your issue regarding the one chip in early on the course that took your attention. I just remembered some points that Lucinda, Piggy and other eminent riders have coached you with and I only repeat them to you to try and encourage your positive thoughts. So, as I recall, strong forward working canter, aim for the centre of the flags as best, let the horse read the fence and get involved when you know there are “tricks” coming up, shoulders back, head up (do not look down), heels down, keep your feet in front of your hips, strong fingers on the reins but don’t fix your hands on the horses neck, and keep very giving elbows. I believe it was mentioned jump one fence at a time and let go as soon as it is jumped to allow you both to focus on the next fence. You’ve done all the hard work and you are both looking great. Deep breath and kick on. Best of luck 🤞
Well done Meg (& Jam) 🎉great to see you out eventing. Fantastic performance reflected in the result. Thanks for sharing & big thanks to all Team Elphick. Keep the positivity going Meg & remember how much progress you have made. Try to be in the moment, enjoy your beautiful horse & make the most of your experiences - you really have got this. Love & best wishes to all❤
Wow Jam is such a clever jumper Meg well done both of you you rode her very well Meg. Your mum is adorable and Pete that was some beautiful slomo camera work loved it .tfs🤗🏇🤗
Well ridden Meg, in very sub-optimal conditions! Love that Jammy too! She's a star. You've brought her along beautifully and she's a super girl. I had you pegged for a better score than your "support" network, haha (but I love Hobbit and Pete and it's always wonderful to see Hobbit out and I love her commentary and just like that, Pete's become a proper cinematographer, but I'm super glad he's still food criticing on the side!). I also love the addition of the comments box during your tests! Great and innovative idea!
Meg and Jam, the GRAND SLAM 😊❤!!! The Talented Team. So very happy for U2, all that hard work pays off❤. Admirable. Thank you very much Megan for all your hard work and for inviting us to be a part of horsey life❤. You spread joy and goodness into this word, honesty, life as it is, with all the ups and downs. Love it❤. And that visual quality, as well as the quality of the sound in the vlog: WOW!!!! Well done Pete, SUPER 😊! TAKE CARE. Go see a doctor if your migraine gets any worse. Please. 🙏 I am sorry that you have to suffer all that pain, Meg. It is exhausting. 💕
EEEKKK I've been eagerly awaiting the first eventing vlog of the year!! Congrats Meg & Jammy on an excellent start to the season. Absolutely smashed it🥈🥈
Just watching and oooh I love the comments with each movement thank you Meg. Beautiful test - well done. I’d love to see marks too but only if you’re happy to share of course 😊 Also a lot of respect for you vlogging with a Migraine. I’m just coming out of one and slightly struggling to watch this - but I can’t wait! You probably know this but attempting to avoid triggers- certain foods, stressors, and also your cycle can be factors 🙄 Awesome job though! Can’t wait to follow your eventing journey again this year xx
I agree with sunlight being evil my migraines have been awful as well as the moment but I think it’s down to change in pressure in the environment but you have been doing so well riding through them never give up what you love because of them ❤
Loved it! Meg can you do a video, even if its just a short one, on what bathing products you use on a grey and how you plait please, so like a getting ready for a competition in depth? Have a great week!xx
What a fantastic start, congrats!! I think the jumping was great, you rode to the conditions and what your horse was feeling :) And I know, comments on the internet, just take with a grain of salt, but something my dressage coach told me recently (and has helped me with every horse but particularly, control my bold, fairly newly off the track pony) is to half halt with their hind leg foot fall, either rein with either foot, to balance them and get them to sit onto that particular leg, and I cannot believe how much it has changed my riding (after 28 yrs competing sj/eventing) it also makes me stop pulling so much (and brings them back way better) because I tend to hold way too much, because I have to kind-of time the half halts to their rhythm. Anyway, sorry for the essay/masterclass, I'll shurrup now lol! CONGRATS!!!
This is very random but as an OG Meggy fan, I’m SO glad u brought back the Pretty Caroline song, honestly I have it in my own playlists hahaha I love it
So good ON YOU for GOING out eventing, I understand HOW heard it's been.Han YOU are a GOOD sport , SO good to see jam OUT eventing , We us to to put hoof oil ON the night be fo.And stud UP with road studs to save time, jam now's it's a pony party. 👍👍 wow that looked amazing, Well done for the first EVENT. 😄😄😄😄😄😄👍👍👍💖 TAKE care and all the best .
Lovely overall picture in the dressage,(difficult to use enough leg when pony fresh!) Thought your self-analysis of the showjumping was spot on! Ditto for XCountry, especially re half-halts. But what a fantastic prep-run, and vlog, loved Hobbit content, and Pete’s Eats! Big clap Meggy! 👏🏻😀.
This is brilliant Jam is epic and I think you rode well considering the conditions👏 a what great content too! This gives me motivation as I’m taking my self produced exracer cross country training for the first ever time today😱🤞
Brilliant. Well done. Through my complete amateur eyes, she looked great, as did you Meg and all your training is paying off. I didn't see any pulls from you Meg. Jam looked well ready to event. I'm getting excited about Badminton for you. ❤
Well done! I think you are right about the stickiness. It must have been a little scary in the beginning cross country. but by the end you were letting her out and both of you seem to be enjoying yourselves. And a second place! I think you are right too. Jam seems to thrive on the bigger fences and the more difficult questions. She can certainly do Badders 100.
Try seeing a good chiropractor for your headaches. With all you do, it could be something in your neck, or the bones in your head (yes there are multiple bones in your skull! 😂) that could be the cause. Anyway, it would be an easy approach and easy to solve, if that’s the case, and worth a try. Hope you feel better!!! And congrats to you and Jam. She’s a gem!💎(Gemima! Haha!)💗
So chuffed for you, Meg!! You really started to ride more positively after that blue haywagon, and it showed! Jam got you out of some sticky situations once again, but that's not because of how you presented the fence to her, but more because of ground conditions, I think. But all in all, a solid Dressage, a solid Show Jump round and a Clear in X Country!! Giving you the Second place!! Congratulations!! With so many events canceled, and this being her first outing, you were wise to do the BE90. I personally think you would have been overwhelmed doing a BE100 straight out off. Again, congratulations on your 2nd place finish.Jam, once again, was the legend she normally is!! Your friend, the Retired Paramedic, Horse Trainer and former FEI Judge
Well done Meg and jam bam 🦄 👏👏 grrrrrreeeeeaaaaattttt result. Also I would still watch no matter what you did, dressage or eventing. And I'm in the process of booking Granite Lens Media 🤞 for my show jumping clinic with Geoff Billington 👍 might need one of those numnahs 🤔😉💜
You have no business criticizing that SJ round! Jam was cautious as she should be and you held her hand--that's all good. When the ground is like that, that's all you can do. And you DID IT. You're your own worst enemy! Thanks goodness you have us. ;-)
Absolutley loved the new addition of the judges comments on the screen while doing dressage! Keeps me as a viewer more engaged and to try to see what the judges are looking for, please continue with it!!
Thanks so much for the feedback!!
Exactly!
I was just about to comment the same!
I agree! Very helpful! ❤
Pete’s Eats walked so Granite Lens Media could sprint 🤣🤣🤣 glad to have him back
Not even nearly done. but i really like the judges comments in the corner for the dressage its a lovely little detail!
Pete’s filming of the show jumping was wonderful! I love watching Jammie in slow motion. Fab first XC of 2024 for team Elphick!
the judges Comments were very productive and fair. love to see that, especially from what i hear from my friends in Dressage about some judges. lovely rounds
I did not realize how much I missed Pete's Eats until the theme song started.
Congrats Meg and Jam on a brilliant run!
What a big heart Jam has, she tries so hard to keep you safe.
WELL DONE MEG FOR 2nd!!!! 🥈 you & jammy definitely deserved it!! Love you all!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
In case the judge didn't note it, those are the best hooves I've seen all damn day.
LOVE the judges comments on screen, just would love some more time to read the end comment! (I’m too busy drooling over Jammy to read fast 😅) Would love a pre-Badders breakdown of all the different gear you use and why you use it! Bits, bridles, nosebands, boots, all of it! 🤩
Watching how useful that little truck has been for you, definitely confirms for me that I need something similar.

Jammy's baaaccckkkk!! Something amazing about watching you and Jammy at full chat on a Cross Country run!!
I feel so proud of you as I watch you gallop around the xc course, doing what you love even though you are nervous. Love the judges comments in the dressage part! ❤ they used very nice, positive wording, which is nice to see!
I LOVE it when horses see a stride and absolutely put it into gear! It's exhillerating to watch. One day I'll get to feel that myself 🥰
i love the addition of showing the judges comments during the dressage test!!
Loving the production of this video allowing us to see the dressage test comments but not losing Hob's commentary and all the slow mo. Great run before badders
Jam isn’t even out of breath st the end of the cross country - what a horse J she looks after you as do you take care of her - you’re a fab team 🎉🎉
Jam is so honest and such a tryer. Would love to see you focus on eventing her and daughter Winnie this season.
jfc... Jam is a MACHINE! like watching her cross country is beautiful... absolute poetry in motion.
Fab to see you and G back together. Loved that you kept that in. Great job Jam and you ❤❤
Jam is the GOAT! She is such an honest, talented mare! Well done! ❤

Not sure what I loved more, Jammy being so epic, or Petes Eats!
It's so hard when you're a perfectionist.....it was a brilliant t day Meg. Well done 😊
I think the 'bag' trick is very clever. Good way to keep the jacket clean.
Great first event. Be proud of yourself and her

She's did one today 19/5/24, meg posted it on her Instagram! x
More excited about Winnie than Wilma
Well done Meg and jam bam 🦄 👏👏 grrrrrreeeeeaaaaattttt result. Also I would still watch no matter what you did, dressage or eventing. And I'm in the process of booking Granite Lens Media 🤞 for my show jumping clinic with Geoff Billington 👍 might need one of those numnahs 🤔😉💜
You have no business criticizing that SJ round! Jam was cautious as she should be and you held her hand--that's all good. When the ground is like that, that's all you can do. And you DID IT. You're your own worst enemy! Thanks goodness you have us. ;-)
Eventing vlog, Georgia, AND Pete's Eats?! we were spoiled with this one!
Congratulations on the 2nd place for you and Jam-Bam. Great job ❤😊
