Simon warming up with a mic is quality entertainment and education. He is both hilarious and inspiring, which is really all you can ask for in a person. Love sassy Buster too!
Simon He is so epic. Sits in the middle, light hands and just bliss to watch. Loved his monologue and so good to hear whats going on in his head. Plus the giggles with his horse throwing some shapes. Fabulous to watch Super star.
Couple of requests: 1) can we meet Simey's horsies some time? Would love to meet his cool people friends 2) if you ever get stuck for a reel idea, I swear I'd watch that clip of him saying "Hi Meg!" whilst taking off over a massive hedge at an event on loop at least 15x a day. Jus' sayin' xoxo
What a treat! Simon is such a quiet beautiful rider ❤ so much to learn and just in love with the giggles over Busters moves 😂we should all be so happy to giggle at our cheeky monkeys
In decades of riding - young horses, off the track horses, greenies, naughty ones, playful ones, spooky ones, fresh ones - the thing that has always scared me most, ruffled me most, has always been the warmup arenas. It is almost as if every single part of my brain that can coherently plan, assess and react, and anticipate proactively to make decisions to have a productive ride, turns to goo and dribbles out of my ears. Really enjoyed hearing Simon narrate his warmup - some familiar thoughts, but also some things that I think are hugely helpful takeaways for anyone, at any level, going into any form of warmup/show environment, irrespective of discipline. I hugely enjoyed this, and have much to think about that I can apply in my own riding. Many thanks, both
Simon did a great job during the warm up!! Thought it was super interesting hearing him interact with his horse and with the other riders as well. It was great with you, Tina, Jammie, Banksey, Pete and Simon all in the same vlog. Simon is hilarious and the interaction between you two is so funny and truly entertaining. Thank you for allowing us a peek into that part of your "eventing camp".
I really enjoyed this! Some of it is that Simon is a hoot! But he is also very astute and a brilliant rider. The warm up with him talking through it is so educational. Meg, you and Jam looked wonderful! Please keep Simon’s mantra in your head. “I’m really good at this!” Because you are!! Can’t wait for every little bit between now and Badders. Pete did a spectacular job filming as always! Thanks so much!!!
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate meg's cracking sense of humour. Spat my cup of tea out when you showed how much space he had to park the car 🤣
Simon is so humble and yet so intuitive with every horse he rides; thank you for sharing! I always learn loads from the Simon videos! ❤ Also, can we get an entire compilation video of Simon ventriloquising each horse and what they're thinking on a round? Love his horsey impersonations!! 😂😂
Great video Meg. Great to watch Simon warm up and ride his class. He was just calm, and spending time on his horse to make sure his horse was right. Loved it. Great filming Pete.
This was a lovely vlog Meg Simon is such a sweet man he couldn’t stop giggling when his horse was bucking it was fun to see that he’s a wonderful rider.tfs🤗🏇🤗🐣
Loved loved this!!! He needs to do more of this, he's so refreshing and a laugh, he's so relaxed, and his voice during the warm up was so awesome, good learning for people! 😊
I could watch you & Simon all day, Meg😂 He is such an excellent trainer & an absolute joy to watch ride. Simon has had such a positive impact upon you, Meg - not least in encouraging you to believe & trust in your abilities. Very best wishes to you both in your equine adventures & a shout out to Pete - a definite contender for boyfriend of the year as well as being an excellent cinematographer😊
How calm and cool is he in the warm up ring. I am a big fat spaz! Passed the showing onto my 27 year old daughter now. Weird you show your whole life and then develope a yellow streak!
It’s because as we age, we realize that we are not as indestructible as we once thought, and that our bodies don’t “bounce” as well if we fall. I know at 47, I can manage to tweak something just while sleeping! “What’s wrong with your knee? You’re limping!” Me: “I don’t know, it was fine when I went to bed last night!” 😂 Getting in shape and staying in shape takes SO much more effort than it did when I was 39 even, and if I have to take a break from riding, it takes me FOREVER to get back into full riding fitness and get my confidence back. For me, all of it was easy…until I turned 40! Funny how I suddenly started aging at 40…. I have also read a scientific article regarding women in our perimenopausal and menopausal periods of life having loss of confidence in whatever we are doing being very common. So age and hormones; what a combo! I’m going to keep competing, just at a lower level. I’ll keep going as long as these joints hold up!😅
I've just started following Tina and Banksy's journey. I would absolutely be a follower of Simon!!! Loved this video, big shout out to Pete and granite lens media for providing his talent too. Thanks to all for this brilliant video. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
that was really awesome to list to Simon in the warmup, thanks! also he had a very good point about you getting out more in a competitive environment, good suggestion.
I love watching these kind of videos! Simon is such an amazing rider and I loved hearing about how he prepares when he’s riding. You can tell how kind and sympathetic of a rider he is as well. He comes across as such a lovely person ❤
What a class act Simon is 😊 wonderful fundamentals of being relaxed is the most important thing, and be nice to your competitors and especially the staff/helpers. Plus a joy to watch ride! ❤
Meg, thanks for this fun Vlog! I think Simon is not only handsome, but a terrific rider with such a fun personality. You are doing so well and seem more relaxed too! Enjoy! Until next time💕
Okay, first all I have just found your channel in the past couple of days and I absolutely LOVE your videos, I have been binge watching them!!! Second of all SIMON IS DARLING😊 "Always remember to be friendllyyyy" I love that you have people in your Vlogs to share the excitement :)❤

We don't deserve the treasure that is Simon with a mic. Seriously though- fantastic vlog ! Cannot wait for the next installment. P.S. please tell me where to sign for H&C to create Simon's show. Or Netflix (he needs full budget). Maybe Apple TV+?
Was going to wright something nice about this video (wich is one of the best yet!)..... but I ended up putting likes to all the other comments instead, couse I totally agreed to them all!! 😅😅 Loved all about it!!! ❤❤
So interesting to hear him natter. I wonder if Simon thinks like this. There is so much going on. He’s such a great rider. There is a lot of learning happening.
Simon cracks me up; his horse is trying to fling him off, and he’s just giggling and baby-talking “oh, you’re being very naughty!” That had me laughing so much! I love how laid back Simon is and how he just takes everything in stride (pun intended). Quick question- Simon mentioned “Newcomers” was 1.10m. Is that the lowest class available in BS? 😳 If so, I’d be in trouble! Very fun video, really enjoyed hearing Simon’s thoughts during his warm up!
That was Amazing! Simon you need your own youtube channel! Im following you on Instagram, Meg convince Simon to have UA-cam!!! Jam Bam was Brillant as always. xxxxxx
Guys I need a quick answer when passing someone going the other direction how do you remember it. Cuz I was taught right right like always pass to the right side but others say left to left. So what’d you guys learn?
