Hero is a medication management service that includes a medication management app, smart device, and integrated refill/delivery.
Basically, you program your medication schedule into the app and the smart device stores, sorts and dispenses up to a 90-day supply and it can hold up to 10 medications. You can track an additional 10 in the app.
When I was diagnosed with lupus, my whole world changed. I went from being an active 14-year-old to a teenager who was suddenly in pain and taking a minimum of 7 pills a day. It was a frustrating transition, but I think I handled it well. Early on, my mom had me learn about how insurance works and how to refill my medications through the pharmacy. Even though I was still just a kid, I am thankful that she taught me how to manage my health early on.
Throughout the years, I have tried a few different methods for managing my medications. With pill organizers, I found that I never ended up refilling them. I tried using alarms on my phone but if I was out and about, I would forget to take my meds once I got back home. It wasn’t until I partnered with Hero Health that I found the perfect way to manage my medications. If I would've had access to Hero as a teen with a chronic illness, it would have been a great way for me to manage my medications while adding my parents as caregivers (in the Hero app) to help track my medication adherence.

My name is Samantha Wayne and I have been creating advocacy videos on UA-cam since 2009. This channel was formerly known as Live Hope Lupus and was created in order to start a community for those living with chronic illnesses. In September 2019, I transitioned to a plant-based diet and I have found my body is responding well to it. Along with my lifestyle change, I am learning to alter my focus more on the positive. My current content will focus on my healing journey, what food I am eating, and everyday life. I will still be posting an occasional update about my health. I hope you all are ready to join me on this crazy journey of healing. We are all learning how to navigate this life together. If you have subscribed, thank you! I appreciate your support and look forward to talking with you all in the comments.

Dear Samantha, I really appreciate your efforts to spread the information. The information you are sharing is very helpful. I am from India, suffering with Sjogren's syndrome and Raynaud's disease. My reports came negative for sjogrens but still I have most of the symptoms. I will have to get it rechecked soon.
This video gave me a clear picture about how to prepare raw vegan diet, can you also make a video on vitamin supplements you are taking along with your high raw vegan diet?
    Thank you in advance.

Your food looks delicious. I can no longer drink coffee because of the dryness in my mouth and I have the burning tongue syndrome. Also I do not have enough saliva to chew raw vegetables anymore. This limits what I can eat especially healthy food. I find myself constantly repeating the same 4 or 5 Meals it is so boring And depressing. The only time my mouth and tongue does not burn it's when I am chewing the doctor told me that it's the only way my mouth produces salava is when it is stimulated this makes it very difficult to lose weight because I am always wanting to chew to stop the burning especially at night when it is worse. I take xanax to help calm down at night and go to sleep and then I am hung over the next day it is a vicious cycle. It is so hard to explain to someone who does not understand.

Oh Angie, I’m sorry you’re dealing with all of that. I can’t imagine what that must feel like. I deal with dry mouth but nothing like what you’re dealing with. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Try sml cabbage juice first maybe diluted with water and or lighy steam a sml amount. Sounds like you need to let your microbiome change. Give yourself min 2 months or more to work up to sml amts of raw cabbage. Hope this helps. ✌️🌎

I am currently working for a nonprofit part time. I also make supplemental income through content creation. I tried working full time in the past and unfortunately my body did not respond well.
