Learn How to Oil Paint a Dark Wine Bottle Tutorial for Beginner

Learn how to paint a dark wine bottle with an exploding background!
Step-by-Step tutorial (10 minutes or less)
First paint a canvas with black acrylic or black gesso and wait to dry. In this demonstration all painting after this is in oil paint.
Cover dried black canvas with a very thin layer of linseed oil. This will allow your oil paint to move smoothly over canvas. Paint center of canvas with viridian leaving a black border top and bottom, and about 1/4 from bottom of canvas paint ivory black.
Paint a circle of Yellow Cadmium light paint over the viridian oil paint applied. Blend outwards with soft brush. Take note of brush I used, and how I pushed the colors into the canvas.
To paint the dark wine bottle, use a mixture of Utramarine blue and Burnt Umber. (you can also just use ivory black). Sketch bottle, then paint freely. Leave areas on bottle showing the background green. You do this by lifting your brush when painting.
