    This was one of the best videos I've seen from this channel! Useful, fascinating, educational, eye-opening, as well as, new & somewhat surprising! I was surprised at how much of this I've never heard,& didn't know before! This was, in my opinion, a stellar video! Thank you, Bright Side! ❤

    My best friend has Heterochromia - and he has the rarest kind - one blue and one brown eye. He also can remember every single thing that has happened in his life, right down to the conversation and date and time.
    I, on the other hand, can listen to a song in a foreign language, that I don’t know or speak and can be singing it perfectly by the end of the week.

      I can listen to any song for the first time and sing harmony by the second note and I can sing the melody of any song the first time I hear it and by the first listening I know the song completely 60% by memory the third time I know it 100% and I can improvise the melody and create new lyrics.

    A word of CAUTION ... (19:47-20:01) to those who can bend their joints backwards (thumbs) or overextend their joints...it may not cause you to feel pain at all while you're young or even middle age, it IS doing damage. If you can do these things you very possibly have a Connective-Tissue Issue. You may have one the the 13 forms of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Other than showing your doctor, try to refrain from doing it much. I used to 'put on shows' for the neighbors' kids w/all the cool things I could do. Now I'm mostly bed-ridden (and have been for several years) and I haven't reached 70 yet. Take care of them joints!!

    Sleeping, You only NEED 4 hours of stage 4 (dream state) R.E.M (rapid eye movement) This was determined through a sleep study that forced people to sleep only 4 hours a day, they were required to sleep 15 minutes stay awake for 2 hours sleep 15 minutes etc. upon waking they were required to take a short test, one of the subjects stated "I didnt even think I knew the answer but I was very confident of the answer, my art has also excelled, I'm drawing stuff that even amazes myself"

    I'm calling BS on the scissors. I'm a righty but broke my right wrist a couple of years ago, so had to use my left. The issue with scissors is not dexterity. I didn't realize (though my left-handed friends have been trying to tell me for years) that scissors really are made for right-handed people. It's not just the finger holes. The motion of the thumb and fingers naturally pulls the blades together so the blades rub against each other. A lefty, with the same motion, will cause the blades to separate, and not cut (as well).

    • @firstlast9384
      @firstlast9384 8 місяців тому +2

      yes this is what I have been saying to my lefty friends, the mechanics are wrong, the blades are on the wrong side

    • @bobjeaniejoey
      @bobjeaniejoey 7 місяців тому +2

      I'm left-handed. I learned at a young age to intentionally exert sideways pressure when holding scissors to force the blades together. Doing so quickly cramps the hand, but it works.

    I have the cilantro soap gene, I always wondered why it smelled and tasted like cleaning fluid to me. I'm also ambidextrous, but only because I was forced to be right handed. One thing you didn't mention is extra bones. I have three extra in one foot, and two in the other. They aren't connected to anything, they just cause pain once in awhile. I've also regularly slept 5-6 hours my whole life and drove my parents crazy. The long palmar ligament also explains my affinity for climbing trees as a kid. My son has synesthesia, he sees colors when he hears music. He also has perfect pitch and is an accomplished musician.

    7:47 During these quick eye movements, called "saccades," your vision is blurred just as happens when you pan around with a video camera. Your brain edits out these useless "frames" and backfills with the last clear image. This is the reason for the "stopped clock illusion," when you glance at a clock with a ticking second hand and it seems to have stopped for a moment. It's also why no matter how closely you look in a mirror, you will never see your eyes move.
