      He was a Jui Jitzu guy with decent wrestling. Compare this fight to his match up against Paul Daley and its like "Night and Day". He boxing became his greatest weapon.

    It's crazy to me how he changed his whole style. He was known for jujitsu and his striking was sub par. To his prime where his striking was elite and knocks out Robbie Lawler then goes on late in his career to go 5 rounds with a legend like Anderson silva. I mean talk about evolution of a fighter. Nick's a legend in my eyes

    I had the pleasure of training with Nick when I was a white belt in bjj about 3 years ago. He was one of the most humble, knowledgeable, and down to earth people I’ve ever met. I learned some great things that I still use to this day.

      To be fair Nick was a very ground oriented fighter at the time because he was a brilliant BJJ artist, by the time he fought Lawler he changed to a more standup style of fighting because he knew that boxers made more money even in m.m.a.

    Nick is one of the best BJJ technicians in the game but his boxing and stand up has now evolved and is one of best well rounded fighters I've ever seen he's now a fighting machine the guy can hang with anybody and his cardio is second to none

    That was when Nick was still cool with people after the fight. He’s so calm and so calculated. Fearless on the ground and in stand up and I think the sport needs him right now. I don’t want his last fight to be the ones we got and I know that’s being selfish.

      Nicholas Aaron well for me as someone who’s never been trained in it. It looked like the dude reversed Diaz and was going to get a dominant position then in my eyes it looked like Diaz was desperately tryna get back to a better position and I was like “😯” then next thing you know Diaz has his back and then I realized Diaz was calm the whole time and knew what he was doing.

      Diaz v Gomi was the first Nick fight i ever saw, and what a fight that was. Watched it cause I was a Gomi fan, by the end of it I was a Diaz fan. I do miss the golden years of mma.
