During a rare dump of snow, I get the bright idea to hike up Nile Creek in sub-zero temperatures. Dangleberry shrinkage ensues followed by an exquisite falsetto voice that would make the Beegees jealous.
Will I create a beautiful shot of the ice-rimmed river or will I succumb to the ravages of hypothermia? Yorkshire pudding blubber only provides so much protection from the elements, but I embrace the challenges of freezing cold winter photography like the legend that I am.
Will I sacrifice yet another DJI Osmo Pocket to the water gods? Will I survive impalement from rusty rebar spikes and will I reach hypothermia stage 5?

As I always tell everyone, beautiful photos are not easy to take. At least in Russia, this always happens through some kind of overcoming of difficulties. So, in this video I see an ordinary day of a Russian photographer)))
I can't even imagine trying to focus on a composition after walking through waist deep freezing water in the middle of winter. I admire you Gavin, for your dedication to the getting the ultimate shot!

I think the harm to your voice is permanent. I compensate by listening at 75 percent speed.

You are a complete nutter!!!!, You could have put yourself in danger especially being there alone, you go to extreme limits for a shot which even you agreed wasn't that good, you're a sausage short of a hotdog!!!, But I still think you're epic
I rarely comment but there is no way to watch this and pass it on the comments. I got a lot of respect for your dedication. I would say you got balls for the job BUT.... I am pretty sure you lost them by the time you walked out of that river lol.
