The proper end of the series is with the death of the queen and the accesion of Charles to the throne.
Seasons 1-4 were the best because the cast was utterly fantastic. I did not care at all for the cast after Clare Foy left.
Yes, the first Elizabeth and the first Margaret were much more believable.
I for one cannot wait for season 6. I totally understand this is not a 100% true account of said accurances. It does however, give us the ability to review the history and the inside stories that have occurred over decades. For example, the love life of Princess Margaret & the sad trials and tribulations she faced. I was never aware of these events simply because I was too young. To the editor, the directors and all the writers, camera people & back stage personal....SO WELL DONE & A HUGE THANK YOU. TRULY, I DON;T WANT IT TO END WITH SEASON 6. ❤👍
Diana would never have worn one of today's belly tight maternity fashions! She always had the blousy empire waist style of her generation, for heaven's sake. I like the new look-at-my-belly style, but it would have been outrageous back in the eighties.
The tight belly style is horrid. So unattractive and vulgar looking. Immodesty and Exhibitionism are tragically in vogue. They’re one of the dark sides of social media. We even take photos of our meals and post them online. How stupid is this? They’re both culprits of many dysfunctions in our society today, such as the objectification of women for one. The new tight leggings, the low cut blouses with breasts dripping out, the pants showing butt cracks, the nakedness of bikinis, etc., aren’t edifying our society. They’re destructive, especially for women.
Modesty is more beautiful. It preserves the dignity and mystery of a woman. It’s also more alluring to men of higher character. We need to return to modesty and defeat the lie that immodesty and exhibitionism are best.
I much enjoyed the crown's seasons 1-5 and their great casting! They all resemble the original royals!
Only just watched The Crown from the beginning to end and I really loved every series, yes I think the casting was a bit off towards the end but each episode was still interesting for me.
Some of the comments on here are interesting though, I see quite a lot of people didn’t like the focus on Diana, but those of us that lived through those times will know how huge her story was. The woman couldn’t sneeze without it being front page headlines. During this time the other royals nobody cared about, it was ALL about Diana. I remember her death and walking through London on the Sunday after her death, it was bizarre how a country mourned her.
I think rightly or wrongly the writers focused on her because it’s what a lot of people still want to watch.
Like her or loathe Diana, you can’t really deny she helped change the Constitution for ever

Me too. I also appriciated that they showed how hard it was for her and for that reason she suffered from problems she otherwise would not had. Just love this series.

I think they have done a very good job with this series. I don't believe that it is a clear reflection of the lives of the family but poetic license brings drama to keep boredom of living each day at bay. Well done. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was boring because it was depressing to see the reality of the situation.
Season Six has some serious miscasting from my point of view. I've loved The Crown. They've been pretty spot up until now. No matter how talented the actors , The Queen , Phillip, and Charles are all not right. For me it ends on an "Off" note. They should have just let it be. Diana they got right. The actress is quite perfect. Hard shoes to fill.

My interest developed after they started focusing on Diana's life otherwise it was boring except the story of Margaret's life.

Disappointed By the serie and expecially by Imelda as Queen E. Ii ( Anyway great actress)
I commented on this serie in another video of this channel. But said that I would like to add to that comment that the first season was the most near to the truth I think. It's historically acurate and beautiful presented. However, after that season it went a bit cuckoo (sorry for the expression) and it culminated into the 5th season with a whole lot of assumptions and hear say. That's not what I want from a series like this. Either you make it right or you don't there's no middelway. Me personally, I have met HMtQ but that's a whole other story. Let me just write: she's the kindest woman in the world when she talks to you and you feel like your in the centre of the universe.

It’s sad how in the 5th series, The Crown became the “Story of Diana”. Too little Princess Margaret, Prince Philip and way too much Diana and Charles. 🙃

Season 5 was lackluster. The actor playing Charles is too handsome to be believable. Poor casting there.
Still, I am glad it continued. The episode about Princess Margaret and Peter Townsend was touching.

Thought Emelda Staunton did a great job.
The series was pretty good until they got closer to "Charles/Diana". I stopped watching bc it was just ridiculous. Imo, the portrayal of those characters in particular was awful & almost laughable at times. It's like the writers didn't want to miss any of C & D's huge dramatic headliners, so they crammed as much in as they possibly could. I thought the acting was pretty sad at best

It certainly didn’t affect me.
I am very unlikely to watch the last season as it has descended into a fictional farce. The Crown was about the life and times of the late Queen. I am not a Royalist and don't love the Royal family but I don't like the liberty taking with the truth that the writers are currently engaged in. A certain level of duty of care is required when dramatising the lives of people that are living, their truths exist and can not be papered over, exaggerated, or minimised as is convenient for the writer's vision. The whole production appears to exist to pander to the Diana cult which is what it is. I would have been much more interested in the Crown's involvement in the political sphere of the 80s with the strikes and strife that defined the era. But instead of the political cat and mouse we saw in the first few seasons we get the bedroom antics of Royals and their whining about how unfair their lives are at a time when the world and the UK are experiencing the greatest heating versus eating crisis since the 80s!!! What stinging irony!!
Season 5 was a terrible let down. The terrible casting of Charles, Philip, Margaret and Anne. The worst ever. Too much about Diana and her problems which is so boring. Nah, I don’t anticipate much from series 6.
I love season 5 eventhogh not much is happening you get more insight in their feelings and personal live. They also casted beautifully especially for Elizabeth, Margaret, Diana and Philip in my opinion :)

Anne and Andrew’s divorce didn’t really affect the Crown. Charles and Diana’s did. It is, after all, The Crown.

These people were not as attractive as the royals were.
I am so sick of Diana, She knew what she getting herself into especially since she came from nobility. My heart goes out to Charles having to give up all he wanted to be groomed for the King.
