- My first Solo Wild Camping trip with my new Boxer Puppy Lolly.
Lolly is a 1 year old reverse Brindle Boxer, and this was her first trip with me alone.
We set up on a river bank. as it is still winter here I brought a hot tent and wood stove to keep her warm overnight.
I wanted the experience to be a positive one for her, so I spoiled her a little with food etc.
I think the tent was the One Tigris Northgaze.

Lolly is absolutely stunning! Made my day. She is a star.
Thank you. I'll let her know by giving her a slice of pizza 👍👍
I really enjoyed this, Lolly Is such a character, I can see she gets spooked easily, but I think with time she'll work out 👍 #DogWhispererDan
Oh.. and I'll give you a shout next week to get the date in the dairy ❤
Awesome, can't wait to catch up properly 👍👍
👍👍⛺️⛺️👍👍
great to see you out with Lolly,I took my dog Judy out camping 2yrs ago before I had to let her go to the bridge, we had good times, still miss her.
I feel that. I still miss my old dog. Haven't been able to look at any of the videos I made with her since she passed.
Been waiting for this camp video since you introduced her last year and it did not disappoint.
Thanks mate 👍
She seemed to enjoy herself. 😀
Such a beautiful intro 😍 #Lolly
😊😊❤️❤️
Never work with children and animals they say. Lolly is still full of beans. She’ll be a great camp companion, Dan 😁
Hahaha, my dog pats me on the face too just to get attention. Funny old beasts 🤣
Nice waterside camp, Dan 😉👍🏼
Cheers Tim. Yeah she is a bundle of fun at the moment. She did well though. Didn't run off and seemed quite happy. I was pleased 😀
That was an epic, glorious camp mate, truly stunning location! So glad that Lolly enjoyed her first camp out as well! 💚
Also glad you found a use for the Pointless Pouch as well! 🤣 🤣
Cheers for letting us share this adventure, all the best, James 🙏 💚
Thanks mate 👍
I was really pleased Lolly enjoyed herself and I enjoyed putting the video together!
yeah I like the pointless pouch, they are bigger than they seem. top work.
Ahhh the lovely Lolly, super cute doggo! A lovely pitch there Dan, always love to be by a river. Food looked banging.atb
It was a chilled one. I wasn't sure how Lolly would do and was prepared to head home if she wasn't happy. But she did great! Seemed to really enjoy herself.
When I read Boxer, I couldn't Like and Subscribe fast enough. We've rescued/owned four Boxers that all died way too young. Right now though we have two Doberman/Boxer mix litter mates that we rescued.
Thank you, Stuart.
Big respect to you for rescuing the dogs. That has to be a challenge and an emotional experience.
I've always had Boxers. They're fantastic.

Relaxing low-key videography of a man and his dog camping in the woods. I'm envious because we don't have much of the lovely English type woodland in NZ, idea for camping.
Glad you enjoyed it, Thank you for the nice comment.
Dan (and Lolly)
I didn’t know you’d lost Tink. I haven’t watched many wild camping videos the last 2 years due to an injury preventing me walking, a belated sorry to you but great to see you have another beautiful companion.
Tink went very quickly just over a year and a half ago. It was awful.
I still miss her.
Beautiful dog boxers are the Best company. Exelent place for camp.
They are. Thank you for the lovely comment.

I just watched a video of yours where you ate bacon and a pancake from 5 years ago. I think it made me depressed, no cutlery, plate, tongs - sound of cars everywhere. Your mate Colin said good that you were up and about. So I clicked on another video - and am uncertain if you are the same person. Your voice is young, you are young, appear happy and incredibly well adapted to the camping life. If you are the same person - its an incredibly transformation.
I think I'd been ill at that point. Not sure I was in a good place mentally.
Great video. Lolly was in her element, a place full of sticks😂and food 😋 I think your camping buddy is going to be chomping at the bit to go again. Good girl Lolly💖
Thanks Jen. She did so well. Proud dad ❤️
She’s beautiful ❤❤
Great vid too. Salmon looked lovely
Thanks Andy. 👍👍
Brave to take a dog river-side camping, might result in a soggy pup in your sleeping bag! Have only just started the vid so can't wait to see if I'm right :D
😂😂 I shan't spoil it.
Aww no-one went in the water, next time perhaps. Great quality as always, looking forward to many more with Lolly
@stuarthill7488 Thanks, Stuart. 😊
She did so well.
Is that a permission pitch area ? Trying to find somewhere near Basingstoke to do a pitch.
Yes, I asked permission as it's on a private estate.
For non permission, look at forestry and national trust land.
Ordinance survey maps help identify open access land and private property.
That going to be fantastic 👏😊
Hot tent was looking good that’s the way to winter camp , cracking spot love being by the river very nice
Good to see Lolly out with you one man and his dog 👌
Thanks mate 👍
Lolly is absolutely stunning. Beautiful conformation. She will be a wonderful camping partner.
Thank you, yes. She did brilliantly 👍👍
Nice time Dan👍👍 Good to have a companion along for more than just company, protection, alarm system, wood gatherer, extra warmth when needed ETC.. I can see Lolly being a regular fixture soon. Great camp by the river, well done. Thanks for the trip.
Thanks, Terry. It went really well for her. I was pleased.
G'day Dan, a very successful mission I'd say mate, I'm really pleased for ya ..... and of course Lolly !!!.
Always a good sign off the leash, when they look back to see where you are.
Some folks like to throw 'em, (and indeed their kids), into the deep end straight up, though a bit slower and steady, wins the race IMO.
You got me with the sleeping head shot. i.e tuckered out from a great time and a good feed ; )
Like the stove design and size; only thing is, if there's splayed legs anywhere, I'm bound to trip over 'em ; )
Was that the ol' Zebra lunch box getting a gig ?
Btw; whatever camera, (and its settings), you used this time round, came out particularly well this end.
Cheers Duke.
yes mate, definitely! she seemed to really enjoy it.
we've worked hard on recall. as Jimmy and Tink's recall was shocking.. but its harder with 2 so I forgive them.
yep, the lunch box it was.. hadn't used it in a while and had to blow the dust off it. (literally)
glad you noticed mate.. I actually did some colour correcting while editing.. I don't normally bother as it can lead to things looking artificial (at least when I do it) but I was quite pleased how it looked.. you're not the only one who mentioned it.. guess I have to do it again now : )
hope all is good over yonder mate.
Dan
@@CampLifeBushcraftIt's challenging and time consuming enough with stills, (i.e only one moment in time, lol), I can only imagine what it's like with video. In Photoshop, to cut down on time and effort, one can save one's "workflow" for the next image, though with constantly changing light, that strategy is often somewhat, or indeed totally, negated. Whatever software you're using, its obviously capable of great results, a matter of practice with it I guess. At least you now have a winner for comparison.
Into autumn here and ....... we're only now getting a proper summer.
Early morning and dusk walks only for puppy. To be honest, she's a good excuse to keep me out of it too ; )
Lolly did well! the video at times was a bit fishy. 🙃🤔🍄
She did. I was really happy that she enjoyed herself 🙂
Even just the intro has got me hooked... 👌
Thanks ❤️
Wrong account. Cheers James (Dan)
😁😁
What a relaxing video ❤
Thanks Joey.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Nice dog.
She is great.
Thanks 👍
What a lovely spot!
It was lovely 👍
🐕❤️👍
😊👍
yeah really wild lol
Boxers. Wonderful dogs. Thay are unique.
They really are.
The love and patient you show her is amazing, although no one can replace Tink, you clearly have a new Camping Buddy in the making ,it won't be long before every time she senses you leaving for a camp she'll be looking at you with those puppy dog eyes saying aren't you going to take me.✌️
I was really pleased that she enjoyed herself. I still miss Tink and think about her a lot. But Lolly is great.
Nicely done Dan, very relaxing and enjoyable. Great to see the pup out as well.
Thanks, Graham.
It went really well for her.
Shout out Burton Outdoors... Soz 😢 At least you didn't starve 😂 My glorious Thai Green Curry is still on the menu for ya ❤
Looking forward to.it mate ❤️❤️
How's your face?
@@CampLifeBushcraft #Fat 🤣
Thanks for another quality vid, Dan. What did you sprinkle over your dish just before eating?
Thank you.
It was parmesan cheese. And a squeeze of lime. 👍👍
Thanks, Dan. I guessed right but was consumed by a culinary FOMO!
Can't wait😊
You and Burton Outdoors are the double act in camping entertainment. See you both together soon.
Lolly was your perfect companion ❤❤❤
Yeah, it's been ages since I last saw him. Hopefully we'll get something organised soon.
Great video. L0vely dawg!
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Dan
Good to see a 4 legged bushcrafter again. Best always to you Dan!
