- I shot this video on 11-11-11 during a trip to Waynoka. It was my only catch of the day, seems my timing was just off at every turn. The scenery in the Waynoka/Belva/Quinlan area is almost surreal and keeps me going back to catch it from another perspective.

Thanks for watching!
This is the old ATSF Transcontinental Line. It will run to Wellington then Mulvane, Kansas then to become the Emporia Sub and split two ways, 1 to Wichita the other to Augusta. Great catch.
Very cool.
great video Jim, will be making a trip up there this year
There is something about the mountains in that area I also like. Been thru there going to Amarillo before. Where is the video of the stack train that was in the distance?? David
@signals3506 Luck wasn't with me that day. The stack train was already stopped when I got there. The radio indicated he was to do a crew change with another train shortly. I waited for over an hour, then took a little trip up into the hills and missed the whole crew change. Didn't get any more footage of the stack train either. Some days you just get skunked.
Thanks Bill :)
@ATSF1927 Yes sir, you are correct. I've seen every inch of it from Wellington, Ks to Vaughn, NM. Thanks for watching :)
@BNSF7776 Thanks Sylvester, yes it has. where is the train show this year?
@TexasSteelRails Thanks Nathan, you'll enjoy it :)
Great video Jim, It's been awhile.
FYI- this is the Panhandle sub
It is really hard to guess what the RR crews are going to do unless you are the dispatcher. Sometimes a scanner does not help with so many cell phones any more.

@AJ67901 Thanks, I'll let you know when I plan on heading up there, might need a guide
@1489011 Thanks!
