Alex Cotton was drafted as an overager. Surprised that he is included here. He is already 21, so his output in the WHL should've been even higher playing against 17-20 year olds. I am sure that it is known that Yzerman did not sign him to an entry level deal, so as of June 1st, he is technically a Free Agent and anyone can sign him.
Great job! I had been searching for updated version to see where Elmer Soderblom came in at after his excellent year. I'd be interested to know each prospects projection because that's all that matters. Using player comps is a good way of doing it. At the end of the day the only thing anyone cares about regardless whether someone is ranked 1 or 5 is will he be Federov or Tatar, Konstantinov or Smith, Osgood, Howard or McCollum
Thank you for commenting C. Parker C.! Honestly Soderblom could have gone higher on this list but because it’s only one season of great development. I didn’t want to put him over Johansson who has had good success at the SHL level for the past couple of seasons, but he could grow to be the better prospect the way he is developing. We are glad you like the list and appreciate the feedback! It’s not a bad idea and actually a very good point. We definitely will try to incorporate it into future top prospects videos and may make one soon talking about the potential of certain players and who they compare too or play like! We hope to keep making great quality content for you and everyone who watches Red Wing Nation! And to hear from you more in the future! #LGRW
Hey HockeyTown Luv good to hear from you and we are glad you like the jerseys! We thank you for all the support you have given us and hope to keep making great quality content for you and everyone who watches Red Wing Nation! #LGRW Who do you think the red wings top prospects are by the way?
@@redwingnation3733 Berggren1, Edvinsson 2, Wallinder3, Soderblom4, Mazur5, Toumisto6, I'm not sold on Johansson, he's small and not a defensive defensemen.
I kind of agree with that. I’ve never been the highest on Johansson. Like you said with the size and not really producing a ton of points, but Yzerman and the development team seem on him and for some reason his team won the SHL championship even though it didn’t appear to be a star studded team and everyone has to be solid and dependable to win a championship. He may not turn into Seider or Edvinsson, but I think he could provide a good X factor in the playoffs and late into the season.
Hey Max, we are working on re-adding in the size option, but you can message us on Etsy and we will get all the information for you their and make sure it’s all good to go! Thank you for your support to the channel! We hope to keep making great quality content for you and everyone who watches Red Wing Nation! #LGRW
Hey Hockeyfan, that’s what it sounds like. However as a defensemen it’s usually more difficult to transition into the NHL since every mistake you make usually ends up with a going into your zone or a scoring chance against. However how weak the left hand side on defense is plus his abilities in the offensive zone will make it difficult to keep him off the roster. Good to hear your thoughts Hockeyfan! We hope to hear more from you in the future and to keep making great quality content for you and everyone who watches Red Wing Nation! #LGRW
@@redwingnation3733 He's ready. Ready to get the mistakes out, or ready to shine. He seems like Seider. Kind of like when you are a very good player and playing in A league when you should be in 5A, you are being held back by the players around you. When Mo went NHL, all the guys are where they are supposed to be vs not. The insanity that Mo is/was not even 21 (or 23, 25, 27 for that matter) and making the plays he did/does. Truthfully, he/DRW should pull a revers Burns and put him on Forward vs D and let Simon and co come in and do their thing. Mo is a great D, but I feel he would be better at Fwd in the end. I know, I know, this is a stretch... just sayin'
My top 25 Detroit Red Wings prospects list: 1. Simon Edvidsson 2. Jonatan Berggren 3. Pontus Andreasson 4. Elmer Soderblom 5. Sebastian Cossa 6. Cross Hanas 7. Carter Mazur 8. Albert Johansson 9. i don’t get how you say Hirose isn’t on the list bc it’s players we’ve drafted. Hirose played at Michigan State University, and then immediately came to detroit and has been playing in GR ever since. ya maybe we didn’t “draft” him but he’s forsure a top 10 prospect of ours. let alone top 15
Thanks, time to make Larkin a rental for picks then re-sign as UFA, same with Vrana and Bert, these are tough decisions but bring in picks and keep things young and cheap. We can take bad cap hits for picks and stay at the floor. The goal is to stay cheap and young. 2 more years of rebuild, restock. Die hards, hold on, no need to hit the gas yet. Would love to see us take a 2, 4 and 5 from TO to take on Mrazek deal. Maybe even Kerfoot also for even more. Or, of course other teams with guys on short deals not performing. Note: I love Larkin, always have, but, really, DRW has never been a basement team and that is required to try and secure a generational pick. That said, just happy 19 has the trust (and rightfully so) so he doesn't make hasty moves that can set us back 10 years. Be patient DRW fans, we all want it to be next year or the year after, but it will be at least 4 years. Let the 53 get a norris before he's 25, then Simon get the one after that and stack. Keep the youth coming in, then make a splash when needed.
Thanks for all the effort you put into these videos, keep em coming!
I need to see Soderblom in the winged wheel next year
I hope so. I've never been so exited before in the rebuild. Next season will hopefully be a great year, pushing for that playoff spot.
i would argue that Elmer should have his own list where only he can appear, that is how unique he is.
What about J.McIsaac. Horcoff was high on him a couple of days ago

@@redwingnation3733 agreed. I also forgot Cossa, he's top ten
I want this channel bigger than Steve Dangle. I can't stand that guy or the Leafs. Wings fans need to represent
Great job and thanks
I don't know if Edvinsson is ready yet. He's a very different player than Seider. I hope I'm wrong though.
Lol!? They said he’s ahead of Dahlins progress when he was on Frolunda lol
Next year, if not later this year he'll be up. He's looking smooth and lost that scared of crossing the defensive zone look he used to have
In GR*
Those jerseys are sick I bought one. Do you know how I can check the size I didn’t see which size I got

Ok cool do you know how long it will take to get here
Yeah, It takes 4-6 weeks from when the order is placed.
Ok thanks
Still guys like McIsaac, Albin Grewe, Carter Mazur, Mastrosimone, Shai Buium, Red Savage, Kyrill Tyutyayev, etc etc. plus 8 overall and two 2nd!
Mazur is in the list lol
Edvinsson's got a bigger chance at making the wings than Raymond. But we'll see how his game handles the smaller rink vs better players

Johansson may be even more ready than Edvidsson.
If your argument against Viro is his points then I don't know what to say other than hes a defenceman
They are letting Cotton go. He is technically eligible for the draft again
Solid group, exciting future for the wings! #LGRW
I know it’s inconsequential, but his name is pronounced Pas- qwal- ee

Hahaha. Yeah we should totally become the Detroit Orioles and maybe make the playoffs in 2050 😂.
