This man is a God in my eyes. From Frank Spencer to Barnham, and Phantom. He has done it all, and also done all his stunts, learned to tightrope walk, had to learn how to sing for Phantom, and now works with children's charities. I saw him in The Wizard of Oz at the Palladium, but sadly missed Phantom, which I shall regret for ever. And what a wonderful smile he has! Love him!
Frank Spencer is a gift to England and the world. A kind warm man, flushing with bundles of tallent. I like millions in Ireland, sat, watching, "Some Mothets Do Have l"m," and laughted so hard that it hurt my jaw. What a lovely sweet man: God Bless his soul. Owen in Donegal.
Could NOT agree more! I mean if Andrew Lloyd Webber was awarded one, then Michael Crawford deserves one too! I love him to this day like the first time I saw him in Hello Dolly. Only thing was, when ii first listened to the POTO album, I didn't recognize his voice at all! It'd changed a'course, but still... SIGH.
Michael said "Frank" was a "Gift from Heaven" He was a great, and is, a "Great" inspiration to us all. I grew up in an abusive environment, and Michael, in his role as "Frank" helped me make sense of it all.
I adored his live presentation of 'Music In The Night' again recently; absolutely Brilliant: what a voice! Goosebumps at the end.. I admire how these wonderful celebrities survive the sometimes tongue in cheek interviews ..... and finish to the end with a smile! Isn't it wonderful?!
Frank Spencer has played a big part in our tv lives but as we have learned here Frank has been a force for good in another way , I like the way Michael says for him "Frank was a gift from heaven "
Love him as a performer, and he totally rocked in Phantom with that Amazing voice of his! I didn't know what a natural comedian he is! He's witty, great sense of humor, and above all a compassionate human being. What a Gem!
Have you not seen “Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em?” with Michael in his role as Frank Spencer? THAT series made him a household name in U.K. The comedy show still makes me laugh today. He did all of his own stunts. Look it up on UA-cam, especially the roller skating stunt!
It is nice to see Crawford - who is now, obviously, a global musical superstar, *not* disparaging the cheap BBC sitcom he starred in in the 1970s, but to say 'it was a gift'.
I just found this delightful video while fishing around in UA-cam and what a treat! I love love live theater and my greatest disappointment has been that I never got to see MC in Phantom. It just breaks my heart. I did manage to see him in Dance of the Vampires (he was the best thing in a not-very-good show) and in the Vegas show. Sadly it was all props and special effects and Michael was lost in the middle of it all. The best show I saw was a one-man concert performance he did called "Michael Crawford sings Andrew Lloyd Webber". Just having Michael on a stage, in a tuxedo, singing all that beautiful music and telling the funny stories was FABULOUS!!!
A very different take on the tragedy of 9.11. I still can't believe it has been so long. My memories of that day are very fixed in my mind. Everyone was so quiet trying to get through that day. From the little Canadian town that I lived in then, we were united with concern and prayers and empathy for our southern neighbours.
What a legend Michael Crawford is !! I used to watch Some mother's do ave em with my son and now we still say things from the show !! God Bless you Michael!!!!!
I can't believe that Michael Crawford is the same age as my mother. It's interesting that Michael Crawford started out in comedy. Another man that portrayed the Phantom, who has recently passed away, Robert Guillaume, was in the comedy Benson.
Imagine saying that today with all this wokeness. This part of the 21st century is definitely completely different to the very beginning of the century. You could get away with more things back then.
With the interviewer mentioning he came from New York, saying that it must of been spooky and Michael Crawford describing his air travel I realized that this took place after 9/11.
micheal crawford was a childhood star in the 1950s with the bfi childrenns unit . used to do his own stunts as teenager the knack and how to swing it was his first proper adullt role produced by the late great producer Micheal Deely
i'm quite sure he's in "wall e.." that animation.. there's a bit where wall e plays a bit of an olde musical, on an olde telly in his shipping container home.. definitely sure it's Barbara Streisand and also Michael Crawford LoL.. i must be nuts!! 😄
I am very happy to be connected to "Some Mothers Do Have Them". I am happy there's Michelle as if female of Michael. After Jesus rose, in John 20:12, Mary Magdalene sees two men in white. There were Angels Michael and Gabriel. Thank God for Michael in the gospels. God bless your team. ✝️🙏😁😭🇬🇧
Nowadays MC would be called a racist, because everyone is so fucking sensitive these days. I love him so much for not being afraid to make fun of everyone, including himself.
Most people wouldn't be able to define the word 'racist' even if their lives depended upon it. Similarly with the word 'racism'. It's weird because so many people use both of those words so often.
He's always been a perfectly well performed actor and singer, stuntman too. With his voice, he sound's gay but if you listen a bit more he sound's more Australian in some parts of his voice. So I still, have a laugh with Frank and Betty and little Jessica their daughter the Spencer's any day.
He came back as Michael Crawford with that little seasonal special with the runner guy in it. It was rubbish and shows, u can't continue a character forever. Even tho I love Frank Spencer.
This man is a God in my eyes. From Frank Spencer to Barnham, and Phantom. hes done a lot more before frank
RIP Parky. RIP Cilla. And what a legend Michael Crawford is.
This is without a doubt one of the most charming men I have ever listened to.
Very talented man, not only was he hilarious but also did all the stunts plus his amazing voice.
Love Michael Crawford...best comedian ever!!! British Finest!!!♥️
Never seen this interview before. Michael Crawford is everything I always imagined, completely magical.
Nigel Street was
Nigel Street I agree ☝🏼
Hilarious! I've had good belly laugh and such a kind heart
He's so nice in person too...its genuine.
I wish the Kennedy Center would include him this year in their honors. He more than deserves it with his impeccable contributions to the arts.
SIGH.
Love Michael crawford he is amazing and funny comedian and wonderful singer love his music
Michael Crawfort. is a master artist and singer, second to no one !!! and a fantastic human, Evert person loves this guy!!!
Michael said "Frank" was a "Gift from Heaven" He was a great, and is, a "Great" inspiration
to us all. I grew up in an abusive environment, and Michael, in his role as "Frank" helped me
make sense of it all.
So did I, didn't help me any. Lol
Michael Crawford was incredible in "Hello, Dolly". He danced and sang up a storm. One of my all time favorites. Just a great flick.
Yes love it have a dvd. Wish more people would know it. Love it only takes a moment that's what happened to us when I met my husband
What a wonderful story teller Michael was.
He is a very good person, and brilliantly gifted
Yes, his goodness shines through - a real professional. He just likes performing and doing his best every single time.
Oh man i grew up on this guys voice....really cool dude
An extraordinary actor
Love him as a performer, and he totally rocked in Phantom with that Amazing voice of his! I didn't know what a natural comedian he is! He's witty, great sense of humor, and above all a compassionate human being. What a Gem!

it was Frank that we all knew of course.. but i was so taken aback at all the other stuff he could do!!
Yes he is truly gifted great person brought happiness to us
Check him out as a very young very goofy skinny comedic character in Hello Dolly with Barbra Streisand.
What an amazing man. Loved him from Frank Spancer, through Condorman and onto the musicals. What a voice. Thank you for posting.
2023 March …. Loved watching this. Laughed and feel sad there won’t be anymore .👏
A true national treasure, Mr Mike Crawford
Never knew he was in NY after 9/11
lovely bloke ,funny & a good person to his friends ,loyal
makes me well up just looking at his smile.. he seems like such a lovely man (lovely ladies too of course 🙂) ..thankyou for sharing this.. x
It is nice to see Crawford - who is now, obviously, a global musical superstar, *not* disparaging the cheap BBC sitcom he starred in in the 1970s, but to say 'it was a gift'.
I love this man so much

Very good. Great comedian and wonderful singer in Phantom.
I love his smile.

Thank you... we needed all the prayers we could get (and still do).
As a New York America I thank you for your tender note.
1st rate interview with Michael Crawford on Parkinson - so funny! lovely to see both Cilla Black and Tarbucks lovely daughter too!
What a legend Michael Crawford is !! I used to watch Some mother's do ave em with my son and now we still say things from the show !! God Bless you Michael!!!!!
This is a wonderful interview. I ccouldn't stop laughing at his stories. Especially the one about the trousers.
Wow I love this song and it melts my heart anytime I listen to it. Are you a music lover😍❤️?
What a wonderful, and talented man Michael is. 🤗
Legend.
frankly i love his comedy
19'28" Watch Michael's face in his reaction to Cilla's talking about the film 'Erection'!!! Hysterical!
Rip Micheal you will be missed by the chat show community you were a total legend
Michael was great man
Michael is simply darling. He is so talented and witty as well as a beautiful singer.
Absolutely fantastic and what a fantastic man ❤❤
Perfect gentlemen ♥️
What a lovely, funny interview with a theater legend.
Great interview, lovely talented man, especially his work with children.
Back when people could joke about anything. I very much miss it.
I can't believe that Michael Crawford is the same age as my mother. It's interesting that Michael Crawford started out in comedy. Another man that portrayed the Phantom, who has recently passed away, Robert Guillaume, was in the comedy Benson.
He started out in opera, got his first gig at 12 for Benjamin Britten.
Very sad. Benson was great
Love michael Crawford its nice to hear the great times he had with Paul Ringo George John and dear cilla
The 'lip' story - 5'26" - just about the funniest story I've ever heard!!!! LMAO!!
Fantastic video. Crawford is brilliant. I'd forgotten how good looking Liza Tarbuck was.
I am Chinese - and yes, we do talk like that.
This has to be the best interview I've listened to in a long time. I'm fascinated by the stories, love the panel .
He does a great Frank Spencer impression.
LOL
Haha I loved that show
Terrific.
The best ... MC will always be just that ❤
The man is a genius.
Great fun here. Michael is hilarious.
How brilliant is this
It's like watching Mike Yarwood playing Michael Crawford playing Frank Spencer Playing Michael Crawford
"i'm only supposed to kiss her once and i thought i kiss her twice i mean Andrew warned me not too"very funny
L,,.
Excellent.
He is just brilliant, hilarious, I am laughing to tears!

Legends of a long gone golden era for TV
"Please don't be offended if you're Chinese. That's the way you talk."
Ded. 🤣🤣🤣
*dead
Imagine saying that today with all this wokeness. This part of the 21st century is definitely completely different to the very beginning of the century.
You could get away with more things back then.
Was anybody else wishing that Cilla would cut her story short?
Love him
god i love this man
Wow I love this song and it melts my heart anytime I listen to it. Are you a music lover😍❤️?
funny as ever. brilliant stories.
Remember this at the time, the Chinese bit stuck in my mind forever. "That's the way you talk!"
Little did we know how much the world would change after 9/11. Everything changed since then.
With the interviewer mentioning he came from New York, saying that it must of been spooky and Michael Crawford describing his air travel I realized that this took place after 9/11.
As I descend from heaven, so do the trousers.
micheal crawford was a childhood star in the 1950s with the bfi childrenns unit . used to do his own stunts as teenager the knack and how to swing it was his first proper adullt role produced by the late great producer Micheal Deely
So handsome ❤
He's so funny!!
He's like frank in real life. .lol
Showbitz greats - can't believe Cilla's not here anymore - taken too soon.

That "Wardrobe malfunction" in "Phantom" sounds like a Frank Spencer moment
Love you sir michael soooooo much.youre so gorgeous.love beth.
IM WITH HAYLING BELOW , 1st TIME SEEN THIS - WASNT IT FANTASTIC !
What jolly nice chap.
His first appearance on the BBC was a show called " Some mothers do have them " and it was hilarious.
I think everyone knows that😂
Anyone else wish there was someone as smooth as Parky.
Oh Betty
i'm quite sure he's in "wall e.." that animation.. there's a bit where wall e plays a bit of an olde musical, on an olde telly in his shipping container home.. definitely sure it's Barbara Streisand and also Michael Crawford LoL.. i must be nuts!! 😄
The movie is "Hello Dolly". Two songs from that (Put On Your Sunday Clothes & It Only Takes A Moment) are shown in "Wall-E".
I hadn't seen this before. I thought he was hilarious.
i was expecting him to say ''howya adolf!'' lol remember hello dolly?
All connected to the Beatles.Lisas Dad was in John Lennons class at school.
No matter what he's in I always see Frank Spencer.

Brilliant stuff from parkie .
His real demeanour is much similar to the some mothers ave em character.
He's always been a perfectly well performed actor and singer, stuntman too. With his voice, he sound's gay but if you listen a bit more he sound's more Australian in some parts of his voice. So I still, have a laugh with Frank and Betty and little Jessica their daughter the Spencer's any day.

I have such a crush on Liza Tarbuck
