    Im an American Louisiana born and raised. Ive lived in Cape Town for over 9 years, its an amazing place. It is one of the 2 places I would recommend that everyone visits. 1) Seoul,Korea and 2) Cape Town. You should definitely check out both if you ever get the chance, I can't recommend either enough.

    In CPT you can get authentic Bantu food and performance at Gold restaurants. For traditional Cape Malay food you can go to a neighborhood called Bokaap. And for a truely CPT takeaway meal, find a place that sells Gatspy. Also put amagwinya, also known as vetkoek, on your list of foods to try. You can have it the broke people's way by filling it with french polony and processed cheese...or for an upgraded version, fill it with something meaty, like mince meat 9:51

      I agree with ur commentary and its so true 🍾💚
      Quick Tip: please try not using the term 'Bantu' as it is a racial slur.... Bantu means 'Humans' in our Nguni language (Zulu, Xhosa, etc)... Just say Black people if you wanna refer to us as blacks.

      @Lesciba Місяць тому

      @@luriescorner If said by us black people like 'abantu' it is indeed not... but the people (whites) who coined that to describe mainly black South Africans, did it with malicious intent... so I can assure you that it is indeed a racial slur, as an example why not refer to us as Black Africans??? Why 'bantu' specifically? Take some time to think about this my beloved sister, we're not paranoid really. Yithi 'abantu' abamnyama... not just 'Bantu'.

    • @luriescorner
      @luriescorner Місяць тому

      @@Lesciba Babes, we're not going to argue about the existence of the word Bantu which refer to a collective certain of black people from Africa. The word "Abantu" is specifically used by amaXhosa. It's not a word used by Bantu people in Kenya, west Africa or which ever part of Africa Bantu people are found. Bantu is not a racial slur, nor does it represent only the Nguni people of South Africa.

    • @Lesciba
      @Lesciba Місяць тому

      @@luriescorner My Skat, give your self some time to think about this subjectively... Abantu is a word in Nguni (xhosa/zulu/swati/ndebele), Nigerians have their own word to refer to people, and so do Ethiipians too, etc... But collectively we're black Africans, not "Bantus" which is not a race, but whites and Asians are aBantu too in our language (people/humans)....
      Anyway, you'll hear more about this slur from other sources since you think I'm the 1 sayin it ;)

    Hey guys🌷🙂
    I'm watching from Cape Town South Africa.
    Here in South Africa we are known as the rainbow nation.
    Various races, cultures, traditions, religions and there are rich, super rich, poor and middle class areas, every 1 living along side ane another, each practicing their way of life and respecting and tolerating each other.
    Even the weather is diverse, some days we can have four seasons in one day.
    The national disasters we get here sometimes are wild bush fires or mountain fires and the other is flooding in certain areas...now and then.
    Our government is also a coalition of parties from different backgrounds and races.
    And the food we have is a bit of everything the world has to offer, a bit of India, a bit of Mexico, a bit of Malaysia, etc, etc...
    We are a developing nation, we are free since 1994,before that some of us were not allowed many things but we are free thanks to GOD and brave men and women.
    If you have any questions, you guyz are most welcome to ask away,
    one of us will reply...
    🙂🌷

No matter how big or small the gap of inequality it's never acceptable! So give Cape Town a break! & give some credit where it's due.

    If anyone decides to visit Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA, please do yourself a favour and book a tour with Cape Sidecar Adventures and see the entire Cape Peninsula, from the seat of WW2 Motorcycle's Sidecar, it makes a huge difference to the view, especially during summer. Whether you are a group of 2, 6, 10, 40 or 80 people there are enough Sidecars and they ride in groups. You are kitted out with, helmet, goggles, bomber jackets for the most incredible photo shoots ever. Smell the freshest air ever, right at the very tip if Africa Cape Point, where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans meet! See the Penguins! Its utterly spectacular!! Take wine tasting tours, sunset tours and food tasting tours. Get picked up and dropped off at your Hotel.

    just to cover the temperature comment, were on both ends of the extremes.
    depending on where in South Africa you are it differs a lot, so I'm from Cape Town and here it easily gets -1 to -5 degrees in the winter and averages anything between 45-50 degrees during the summer.
    (-1 to -5 degrees = 30-23 degrees Fahrenheit) (45-50 degrees Celsius = 113-125 degrees Fahrenheit) there are obviously spots that gets hotter and colder in its specific seasons.
    also the humidity needs to be taken in to consideration some spots has extremely dry heat and cold and others extremely humid.
    But CPT stays a all out recommendation I've lived here my whole life and can still find new things to do.
