I worked out the right way to kick start last month I realised u I need to stand the opposite way. I also own crocks people laugh at me in Restaraunts

You said you had to turn off electric switch for electric start to do a kickstart proper ??
In order to kickstart, the kill switch has to be off, and the ignition switch has to be on.

Yes, you can. The kickstart is there so you can get your scooter running when the battery is dead.
@@150SCOOTER so do you take out your battery or it charge itself after starting?
@Abdulmalik issah you need the battery for the scooter to work correctly. Either let the scooter charge it while running or charge it with a charger. Kickstart is only a temporary solution.

why cant ya jump relay.
i can't do the kick start no matter the position because of having a medical issue in legs. I wish they came with a pull start instead like they have on some Mini bikes (and of course lawn mowers that do not have electric start)..that I can do. And the electric start on my scooter fails a lot.
Your problem might not be the Kickstart or how you kick but it might be some electrical issue on your scooter.
You can add a.pull start to your scooter?
So we're not holding the break doing this?
Most scooter you need to hold the brake to kickstart. Mine you can kickstart with or without holding the brake.

Scooter still running strong, I didn't have any problem with it yet so I really cannot talk about how reliable it is. I do know that BMS brand is overall better quality than Tao Tao because my friend got one and his already got rust on the muffler and somewhere near the frame. Also, his TaoTao muffler cracked near the mount area. Ranking: Honda = 10, Kymco = 9 , BMS = 7, Tao Tao = 5
I just tried his technique with no battery installed on my amiga Jax 150cc. And rode around my parking lot and couldn’t even believe it could run without a friggin battery

My issue is I can't cold start it I guess you call it I don't even get a sound or anything I only kick start it everyday ..is that bad ?
Does the electrical start ever work? If not, you might want to check the wire in the back of the ignition switch.
@@150SCOOTER yeah it used to work but I left it idle for 2 months now I ride it everyday but always kick start it .
@@joeyatanacio781 I would start with checking the start switch then trace down to the solenoid. You can find those informations by search online or youtube.

@@allenthomas914 there aren't an adjustment on the Kickstart. A normal working Kickstart should be easy to push. Try to put a little more force into it.

Doesn't work like that on 2020 high end mopeds but I don't know about the cheap ones
You can’t because the kick mechanism sits a little far behind your leg not like on big bike engines where it closer
I have a a scooter that starts from 3 :00 to 6:00 o’clock direction his starts counter clockwise never seen a kick start lever with a horse shoe bend

50cc kicks clock wise. 150cc mopeds are anti-clockwise
