If you spin it counter clock wise that would take the nut of the stator

i was thinking of getting a impact drill for my bike as it would be handy

Do not do this with an impact drill it needs to be a standard drill. An impact drill will loosen the nut a regular drill will just spin the shaft

If you spin it counter clock wise you would be taking the Nutt of the stator it should go clockwise
