😂! As soon as they’re older have them get a job at a camp for the summer. Wait until college when they want to go on those study abroad trips. My daughter studied abroad in China one summer & Italy another summer. Luckily she had a full scholarship with meals & housing so we could help her with those summer trips. Now she’s a public school teacher in Miami & says she doesn’t want kids because everything is too expensive.

This is really funny, but it’s such a privileged problem I’m struggling for sympathy. Lots of kids survive with no summer camps or vacations far from home. and kids do understand the concept of can’t afford it. If they don’t, you need to have a few talks about how budgets work.
Did you mean sleeping on hostile floors or hostel floors. I have been to hostels but never slept on a hostile floor. That must be quite a memory. 😮
