The reality is that few UA-camrs could survive without Patreon subscribers. UA-cam has made a lot of changes over the last year that have always given the short end of the stick to its creators. If you enjoy a creator, please support them. This, as any start-up business, is a risky venture that many times does not work out. Without these risk takers, this world would be a lot less fun. God bless everyone who takes the less traveled road and gives so much back to the masses.
Nate I am super proud of you has a human with all that you have accomplished. You are a self made man. I always thought what would become of you and i have to say I am impressed. Finding Shannon and making a family, buying property and fixing, designing and building stuff without any prior knowledge. This is all genius stuff you had to do on your own. Well done all the way around.
Self made--their rich parents help them along the way & I'm sure continue to do so whenever asked.
@@bayside6207 wow. Pours his heart out about how the negativity affects him and you make such a stupid comment. Good job, I’m sure your parents … rich or poor… are very proud.
I use my cellphone then I upload on UA-cam very easy😅. Why do people use computers?😢
Ŵow I never made 3000 a month in my life
I think I've been here almost from the start. You were one of the channels that inspired to me to hit the road. And I did! I spent five years traveling the States in my Transit Connect. It was a great time, and I saw lots of beautiful and cool places. But when the pandemic hit, it changed van life for me. So I sold my van and moved to Portugal! Thanks for being an inspiration on living life your way. I'm excited to see your new adventures.
You have had an amazing 7 years. Look forward to future videos 📹 and a successful life with Shannon. See 👀 you on the next one 😃 😊.
Love ya Nate. I really never comment, but I thought this needed to be said. I've been watching you since high school when you first started out. I really started watching consistently in 2019 till now. I can honestly say you were the first "van lifer" I watched and you taught me about this alternative lifestyle. While I don't have my own rig yet you've inspired me to reach for my goals and put myself out there to explore the world. Thanks for taking the time to share your life and experinces with us over the years. As you said it takes a lot of time and effort to make these videos. Know your hard work is not going unnoticed. Keep doing what you love. I'm happy to be along for the ride.
Thank you for all the videos, please keep them coming.
I've always enjoyed your videos. Thanks for sharing that pretty personal info about youtube. I'm sure a lot of people will find it very useful. Ignore the negativity as much as you can. There are a lot of miserable people out therefore unfortunately.
This channel is a huge copycat of"AVM" channel, This guy tries to do so many similar things to Brian which is not being creative.
Thank you for your honesty about income. I highly respect advice from a 7 year consistent content creator.
Your videos have been part of our viewing pleasure for many years, Nate. We are so thankful that you are going to continue 🙏
We're with you.
I’m a relative new comer and I found your channel because I was searching for van builds that were stealthy. I also found Camping with Steve, coz he does stealth camping videos. And now, your videos and a few others like Steve’s and Slim Potato head are those that come up on my feed consistently.
Your drone shots video I will play on our big screen in the ICU as we love having relaxing and stunning videos playing for staff and patients and their family to look at. Our unit has no windows that we can just look out of as we work.
Great idea!
Your authenticity has kept me around as a subscriber for many years Nate!
No one said life is easy but perseverance and adventurous positive attitude makes it do a bowl 😅 just like eating everone has to eat! Great job element man!😂
It's awesome that you still enjoy the editing so much. And Into the Mystery 13... That's a name I haven't heard in years, but I watched him too back in the day. What a throwback. Keep up the great videos!
Time flies...I remember watching you from the beginning.
I have followed you for years n have enjoyed each of them. You are full of energy n so kind to all of us followers. Thanks for all your hard work
Been watching since 2017 and was living out of my element. Thanks for sharing your journey! Its been very helpful as i have gone on my alternative living journey 🙏
Nate, I rarely comment, but I’ve followed you for years. And I look forward to watching your development in the years ahead. I will try to comment more and send encouraging words. ❤ Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
You have grown up soooo much! I am so proud of you. And grateful.
I thank you for the past 7 years, I have enjoyed every minute of your posts. I remember the drone across America 🇺🇸 video and I thought it was incredible. This video was informative and interesting, thanks Nate.✌️
This was an awesome and very informative video. Thank you.
I am a new subscriber and I wish I would have found you sooner! I have watched 2 videos so far and I really enjoy them. I love the fact that you are doing what you love and that you are willing to put in the effort to make it work. Great job and I wish you the best!!
wow!!
Into the Mysterys channel - Damn I forgot about that dude
he went back to living with his parents and delivering Uber ✌️

Wow, 7 years?? That's crazy! I watched you from the beginning, but until now, I haven't seen one of your videos pop up in well over a year. I've lost track of you until today. 🤔 It's great seeing you, and I'm glad you're well and still traveling! I look forward to seeing more of your videos in the future! ♡
Ive thought of starting a channel but i feel sad watching how the negativity has affected people who seem so kind and i feel their palpable sadness as a result.
You are one of those
Im glad you don’t allow the negativity to stop you!
We enjoyed your drone episode. Thanks for your heartfelt thoughts. We always look forward the next episode and can only imagine how difficult it is to provide.
Thank you for your videos. I have followed your channel for a few years. Glad you found Shannon. Hang in there.
Nate, you've come a long way since you first built and camped in the Element. You are a hard worker and a sincerely nice man. The naysayers just have to be ignored. Stay safe, stay steady and know that your viewers love your honesty and your unique take on life as an adventure. You're a good filmmaker and you will keep getting better. Stay strong and live it!
So many folks in the comments have said the things that I wanted to say, and they say it better! You are living your best life, and it shows. Thank you for letting us into your life, and the lives of those around you, and your travels. One of my goals is to actually go traveling and camping in the near future. You and other camping "You-Tubers" have shown and told me about so much stuff - that I just never knew. For me, the best highlight was when you were designing and rebuilding the Japanese van that you have bought to share with your girl-friend - instead of both of you driving two vans around. That I - humble city apartment dweller - could actually offer advice to YOU on how to build a van, and equip it - came from watching you and the other camping "You-Tubers". Then in a video - you referenced that advice - taking the time to consider the advice - showed so much respect - my heart was greatly warmed. It did not matter whether the advice was followed, even if just for a bit. Before watching your works - I could never have ever offered any advice on camping, living in a van, or traveling about. Thank you for sharing your life with us!! Much respect!!
Thank you, Nate! I joined you fairly early on while you were in the Element. I have enjoyed your videos and please keep up the creativity. I personally like your building something, but I appreciate your honesty and regular videos.
Dude Nate, I remember sitting in my apartment in college watching your EVL videos and I have so much to catch up on. Mad happy for you for everything that's happened in your life. I'm currently sitting in my car in a parking lot in a small city in Connecticut, doing rideshare and waiting for a ride to come in. I've been thinking about starting my own van life/philosophy themed UA-cam channel the past few years and you've inspired me to go for it. Hope to see you on the road one day 👊
P. S. - The Hiace is literally one of the coolest, desirable and most reliable vehicles ever made. Some of them cost as much as a basic house would 50 years ago. If they want to talk shittake mushrooms, tell them to buy you a house today XD
I really appreciate your videos. I’m sure it gets monotonous making videos just like a lot of other jobs. But you are seeing the country and not stuck in an office. Thank you!
One of the best vlogs you’ve put forth. I think the hypercritical and snarky comments kill a lot of uploaders. I’m sure I’d be using the delete/block feature a whole bunch. We are all looking forward to what you and Shannon come up with in the future. Thank you for sharing the journey thus far.🦋
My husband and I love your videos!! Sorry that you get some negative comments...I wish people were more kind. We look forward to seeing your future adventures!!
Thanks for telling us about your journey, I've enjoyed following along. My favorite videos are when you let us tag along as you travel down the road. Thanks again.
Great to hear your perspective!
Thank you for your life share! Watching you for long time and will do that till you post another one! Kinda feel that you're my friend.. We all know you but you don't know us. Don't stop please 😀
I appreciate you and the videos you put out. Your videos have always been real--not click bait - thank you for sharing your life and experiences with all of us.
This is so realistic, thanks for sharing your experience!
On my 3rd year as a creator . . . enjoy creating little videos about whatever and learning new things. I think the biggest stressor is "expectation". You cannot KNOW the audience except in general . . . like you have one. But each member is there for their own reasons. I just make what is interesting to me and if it catches, I'm tickled. But then, I'm tickled because I made another one that I LIKE; doesn't matter to me if anyone else likes it. I'm free. I enjoy your content because it's a way of life I would never have imagined for myself . . .
I enjoy your stories and projecs 😀 i love to keep an eye on you
Appreciate the honest and candid details. Happy Travels.
Wow, 7 years? I've watched from the beginning although, sorry to say, not consistently. I've always enjoyed your videos and am looking forward to the films you'll be making!
Hi Nate. I was here for the 1st 6, but haven't kept up much in the last year. I missed you, and came looking today. I think what you have created is amazing. I've really enjoyed the ride. You may not have gotten rich, but you have many more stories to tell. Success isn't always measured by the dollar. You sir, have been super successful IMO. I hope you remain happy & humble, and hope we can continue your journey, even if it is less frequent updates. Blessings to you & Shannon. Would love to see the video of the drone footage. I think many would like that as a screensaver.
I have followed your 7-year journey & evolution of your different travel vehicles. You learned how you wanted to travel while teaching and inspiring your viewers; their decisions are numerous yet personally individual.
I have watched you for about four years. I enjoy following your story: how you grow and what makes you happy, Shannon too. To be honest, I just don't understand this medium that well. Last week I found out my grandson makes videos also. He has several "viral videos" of over a million views. He is far, far too young to make money. He just has fun. Why are his videos so successful? Clueless. I've watched him. He seems to have an artist eye, if that makes sense.
In the long run, your work will serve you well too. Your videos show your growth. They are fascinating. You take on challenges, face risks and persevere again and again. You are one of my favorite channels. Every day you have more skills. It's evident. I want to follow you as long as you make content. Blessings.
Five year squad! 💪
Thanks for sharing this information with us. I hope nothing but the very best for you. Follow your passion and safe travels.
And I have loved them all……such a nice young man. And now a Shannon to compliment……..I watched that first video. I had just bought an Element, when we retired from the Marine Corps in Japan.
Thanks for your video. The honesty and humility you portrayed is helpful. I wish you continued success!
Glad to say I've been here since the beginning. While I miss your old style of videos from 2016-2019, I still follow and see what's going on with you. Best of luck and hope to see you continue doing this for a long, long time too. Miss the Tuesdays where you answered questions.
I always enjoy watching your videos. It's fun and I learned a lot from you. I never put negative comments on you. I'm just thankful for what you do, I like it and I respect it. Don't let those negative comments harm you at all. You inspired me in every way. Please continue doing what you love to do. It's your time and move on positively. Thanks for sharing
I have enjoyed following you. You seem like a decent person and following you is nice. Be well
SO interesting that you love the editing part of videoing! Most people don't like that at all! Good for you! I'm new to your journey and hope to look back on some of the older content! I LOVE where you are now! Such a peaceful place!
Drone video - we watch the channel for you and your story not b-roll landscapes. The human element. You. Is why we watch! Either way keep up the exploring. You rock.
Interesting. I’ve learned a lot from you. You are the same age as my son, so I don’t identify as a peer- none the less, I enjoy watching and click every time one pops into my feed. Your quality and dedication to it shines through.
I thought the high ace was your best build so fun to watch
You're one of the people who inspired me to live the way I do. Keep doing what you do and we'll keep watching. We may not be here for every video but we always come back.
It is such a grind. You helped get me into creating mine and I appreciate that
You're talking about when you first started making videos, okay now I know how long I've been watching you. I've been watching you from the very beginning of things. And I have a Ford Econoline 150 van that I built inspired by everyone you mentioned and more! Yippee ki-yay.
Good for you
Ive been watching you for I think 6 years, and your videos have only gotten better! Keep up the good work. I honestly think you should be working for like National Geographic
Really love your honesty in the sense that most and I mean almost everyone does not make crazy money on youtube. Have worked with ppl on here and it really comes down to my eye two things. Being consistent and very very patient. It can take years to break through and still you will have yips and dips. Enjoy your content and that’s really it.
Keep it up Nate! I appreciate what you do!
Thanks for all the hard work, man! I had an Element and you inspired me to consider building it out 😆. Take care!
You are one of the most genuine people I've met on the road Nate! Glad things are going good for you.🚐🍃✌🏼
Same to you, Brian! Hope things are going well.
Started watching when I got my Element. Used a number of your ideas with that set up. Thanks for all the videos. I have a truck and pop up camper for a number of years now and love it. Thanks for 7 years of enjoyment.
I have watched you from almost the beginning. Always great videos thanks.
Wow!! Nate, I still have that very first video !! Congrats 🎉 and thanks because you inspired me to explore on weekends with a mini van ...but never converted as a camper 😢 yet! Thanks for showing us America 👍🏻👍🏻
Mad respect for you!
Thanks so much for sharing- such a nice reality check to what UA-cam content creators have to endure through - I’ve enjoyed your channel and the hard work you do - keep bringing us more thanks ☺️
I've really enjoyed following along with your adventures over the years. I'm pleased to hear that you are still stoked to make your videos. They make my day.
To Nate & Shannon...Love from Malaysia...🇲🇾
Happy anniversary!
Best of luck to you.
You use the term/phrase “Y’all “ 👍🏼
As do I, originally out of Texas.
Enjoy
Hi Nate, I've been watching you since back when you drove the first Element and really like your candor and honesty. Hope you stay around for many more years.
Good video. If you think back to the beginning and how little you knew and think now what you have learned. You have grown exponentially. The school of hard knocks is the best school of all. How many trades have you leaned? You are becoming a journeyman of many. And I'm sure there are many trades you will learn in the future. My grandmother used to say, "the day you stop learning, is the day you're dead". Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Just found your channel buddy! Subbed!! My feed n my phone recommendations! Awesome channel! Awesome videos!
I’ve always enjoyed your videos and have followed you from the beginning. You took a giant leap of faith, man. You’re doing great and don’t worry about the negativity.
Appreciate your content Nate....keep up the good work!
Oof, it’s getting dusty in here.
A job well done through seven years, Nate. Crazy to think how long it’s been. Thanks for sharing with us, through it all!
Thanks for all you do. I enjoy your videos.
Have followed you for years, enjoying your work. Wanted to comment because I think it helps your standing to have people react.
Thank you!
I think it's that we all sort of live vicariously through your videos. Part of us would like to do what you do, but we can't, for whatever reason. So we watch you. And we get to know you...kind of. And then there is a voyeuristic aspect of wondering what you're up to next. We all probably watched and miss Jed. It's amazing that you've been doing this for seven years(!) and haven't succumbed to the burnout that others have. (I mean, at the end, Jed was just filming himself driving around delivering food - not very exciting content). We appreciate your videos, Nate, and the effort that you put into making them. And as long as you keep making them, I'll keep watching. Thanks for the update. Have fun! :)
Thanks for, firstly, the inspiration and secondly the truth 🤙🏻keep on keeping on as they say... Forever subscribed🤝🏼
I can remember so many of the short clips you included in this video. Hard to believe it's been 7 years......... Thanks for sharing.....
Love watching you!
Thanks for your informative videos. Always struck by such a nice guy you are.
You're doing what you want and you're a nice guy. Keep doing your life and enjoy the ride!
Thank you for taking time to reflect and sharing it with us. While building out rigs, camping and exploring are the topics that brought me in to the channel, what really keeps me coming back is the genuine excitement you have for things you’re doing. It’s always fun to see people doing something they love. Congrats on 7 years, man!
This is some serious real talk!
Been watching you for what seems like forever and I've had fu and conntinue to have fun on this journey! Here's to many more - mostly successful - years ahead!
viewer since the Honda Element, convinced me to trade Tacoma for a Transit Connect, thanks for the share!
So well spoken! Thank you Nate😎
your have a lovely sincere, honest , down to earth nature that is very pleasing. Glad you stuck with it. I enjoy your videos and thank you for all the hard work. P. S. I do not recall a video coming out titled, " Best Drone Shots of America." I have hit the notification bell.
Thanks for being so transparent on something so personal. I've never really thought about the financial part of your videos. It sounds like you've made huge sacrifices with your time to provide videos for your subscribers. Keep up the great work! Your videos have provided so much relief to my stressful lifestyle. Safe travels my friend.
I've always enjoyed your videos keep on keeping on brother
In the end, you just want to make sure you can take care of yourself and your family. That means knowing farming and ranching and hunting/gathering. That will keep you alive.
Nate, cheers to 7!! I have been a long time fan and always enjoy your videos. My husband and I now watch together and we always look forward to seeing your next post. Your channel is dynamic, evolving and relevant and seems like an honest and authentic reflection of you. You’ve always stayed consistently who you are and the times you’ve shared your music, photography and basically everything else has been such a great insight. God bless and keep doing what you do!
subscribed, liked, commented. let's get you to 100k
I really appreciate the video. I have watched a lot over the years ( I loved what you did with the Element) and can appreciate the time and effort that you have put in to putting out the videos. As with other good UA-cam channels, you expressed about how you love to make content. I think that is the key to success with UA-cam, the successful channels are the ones with people who want to share experiences . The fakers are easy to spot. I wish you well with your endeavors.
