The epic saga of World War II continues with Medal of Honor Rising Sun. Play as Marine Corporal Joseph Griffin in a far-reaching tale of two brothers trying to prevent Japanese forces from dominating the Pacific. Rising Sun features real-life historical battles like Pearl Harbor and Guadalcanal, over 20 authentic WWII weapons, highly intelligent enemies, and a heroic cast of characters that fight on your side from level to level. Battle other soldiers in ten multiplayer levels and an all-new two-player co-op mode.
(PS2, GC, XBOX)
Hello all, was feeling a little low, and decided to low for something nostalgic from the past that I worked on. I'm, speechless that this game touched so many of your lives. I know the guys and I that designed this game would be, very moved. I designed Pearl Harbor. Everything in that level was as accurate as I could get it, from the plane camo to the ships. Medal of Honor was different than today's FPS because we cared, we cared because we represented the men and women who gave up their lives for the world's freedom! It was the least we could do.
MrC if you really did work on the game then thanks a ton. This shit was my childhood right here, loved playing this on my PS2 along with Frontlines and European Assault even though I never was able to beat the other two 😂
MrC You gave me a blaze of happiness, a spontaneous smile with that comment. I do not know how to thank you for the work you did in the game, that whole design was simply epic, could never represent the real terror that the men who were there witnessed, but was really a great dramatic representation of an event that stop the world and marked the story. Everything was epic in this game, the scenarios (I was always impressed when facing the temple of "In Search of Yamashita's Gold"), the soundtrack, the story, the characters, etc etc. It's the game I played the most in my childhood and adolescence, countless hours of single-player campaing, co-op campaing and multiplayer with my cousins. I made a point of doing 100% and unlocking everything that had to be unlocked (videos, Mary's letters, storyboards, characters for the multiplayer mode, codes, medals) a few years ago. It marked my life and I will never forget it. A few weeks ago I praised the work of Christopher Lennertz for the composition of the soundtrack of the game on Twitter, when I received the notification that he visualized and liked it, I felt very happy.
This was the game that imputed me the preference for the war genre in works of fiction, and also by cinematographic games. And incredibly I was also charged with a life interest in Japanese culture, even though I'm Brazilian, I'd rather cheer for that country in football!
Again, I do not know how to thank you, all of you who were on the development team of the game, have marked my life, changed my life.
In 2011, when I was ten years old, I got to do a complete ranking, from the best to the worst characters in multiplayer mode, I have the role stored inside the cover of the PS2 version of the game until today, I would like that you to see it, only for the nostalgia. If you have a twitter, follow me: realLionSilva
This was the best MoH game.
My childhood I always played this with my dad❤️
I cannot believe these is a 2003 game. Its a quality game wich is very entertaining once you take it easy and slow down because its completely diferent from COD. If you don´t slow down you get lost or killed easly. Such a good game
Ahhh the memories!!! Remember getting this on Christmas day when I was younger and never stopped playing it. Kids nowadays don't understand. Great times.
Kid here, frontline and rising sun are good.
i am still a kid, when i was around 6 i played it, nothing can beat old Games like that and i can agree(even if i am still a kid) kids nowadays only think about shit like fortnite
I played this on 2018 I was 8 I loved playing this I didn't even had a ps4 then 2019 on Christmas I got a ps3 then my 10th birthday I got a ps4 so ya
Totally right bro best games ever on war
This bring's tears to my eyes. I played this game when I was 10. Now I'm 22 and it bring's soo many memories back.
I have so many memories on this game. I remember going over to my grandmas house and playing this game with my uncle. My uncle was the one who introduced me to war games and I loved going to his house to play them. I remember when I was 9 yo, my uncle came to my house and gave me this game as a gift becuase he knew how much I liked it. I remember getting stuck on the 4th mission, "Midnight Raid on Guadalcanal" and my uncle helped me finish it. I wanted to finish the game and play it with my uncle some more, but he died of a sudden heart attack the next day, at the age 32. This game always brings me happiness everytime i see it because this was "our game". I love you Uncle Dennis, thank you for being the chill guy you were. Wish you were still here. Rip :(
Rip uncle dennis
RIP UNCLE DENNIS AND MEDAL OF HONOR > CALL OF DUTY
RIP. Great memories from the past.
Join us all in saluting CashFan3's uncle.
Thank you everyone!! Means a lot ❤❤
its 2005 you r sitting on the floor tryna play this game on a great saturday while your parents sleep and you think life cant get any better. Those were the times
Man... so much nostalgia in this game... I remember I always relied on the pistol, while my dad loved the M1Garand. Took forever to get past the Philippines level for me and my younger brother, but we didn't care.
EpicGamerSetzuna I feel ya on that man
EpicGamerSetzuna I'm the exact same
Lol i thought I be the only one. For some reason I just couldn't beat the Philippines cause kept getting lost or some shit. I don't know why. I think I was just too young at the time.
For me, it's that damn part with the demolitions truck. This game was made before iron sights were invented, apparently, which makes aiming kind of hard when you're in a moving truck. Throwing grenades is harder. I think I had to use a cheat to get past that part and go to the Guadalcanal level, lol.
Cartman C YES I just remember wandering around for ages as a kid having no clue what to do haha, I must've been 5/6 at the time
The golden age of WWII shooters right here.
finally the whole game with cutscenes and awesome graphics
Jason Hobble it's awesome and all but sadly the guy playing has some terrible target acquisition.
Jason Hobble and I'm not asking for some mlg standard gameplay I just want someone who can shoot a moving target at least. I'm not great but I can do that so I should just buy the game and play it myself.
My recording device adds 100ms lag so it's really hard to shoot at moving target.
Even without the lag, aiming properly in this game was really difficult :D
They should seriously consider remastering all of the medal of honors and putting them all into one big game.
It must have been year 3? I was around 6 years old and my dad picked my up from school that day.
As we were walking back and just as we got to the bus stop he put his bag down on the seat and said "Look what I got today" and then proceeds to pull out a fresh brand new copy of MOH: Rising Sun.
I remember my little heart skipped a beat and I literally shouted out in joy. MOH will always be close heart. That little noise the health canteens make when you picked them up back in allied assault.
Always sounded like you took a nice dump, like '' splash'.. Ahh''
the memories holly fuck
Dr mac dough I still have the game 🙂
Sou brasileiro,se entende a minha lingua?
I played this game around 2004-7 when I was in elementary school. I loved playing the beginning of this game when I was a kid.
i played this game when i was 5 years old maybe even 4 but it was the first game i completed all alone
Hugh Mungus that would mean you are not even 20 yet correct?
Kyle Sacco yes
so what the hell happened to you?
jltaco85 lol
jltaco85 I'm drowning in tears of laughter!
they don't make games like this today.. would be incredible if EA remade this but unfortunately they won't
***** someone's negative
I respectfully disagree. I feel like they do "try" to make games like this now but we've been so spoiled on concepts like "realism and immersion" that we don't see the game for what it is anymore because we've come to expect so much from games now. Instead we look at all the bad things like bugs, glitches, textures, animations, etc.. Take "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" for example its a very well known game that most love and few hate, it has a good story but if it were multiplayer a lot of its beauty could possibly be overlooked. When you take into consideration the difference in the current mentality of Gamers, where games are today. the fact that some if not most game dev companies have went bankrupt, sold out, or have completely different staff than when this game was created. When this came out it was a still a relatively new concept of games that had just started to become more well polished. Most current Gamers prefer multiplayer combat in most games, and some Gamers only play games for the multiplayer experience alone. That causes a phenomenal story game like this to become a "one and done" experience that doesn't stay in our hearts and minds for years, and limits some companies to multiplayer only simply for the longevity, and marketability. nowadays.
Bigghewi Nicely said man
Joe H. And don't forget they'd add microtransactions if they did
Joe H. Oh yeah, l love this game , i think they would remaster this game
There's something so relaxing about watching old games. Wish I used my birthday money to buy this when I was younger! Thanks for the longplay :)!
They need to remaster it into better graphics and for it to be an online multiplayer !
This game and call of duty big red one were my first war games
JOELLAMA Same here, I played the shit out of those. I am hoping to get them for the xbox 360, by any chance do you know if the original xbox version of this Medal of honor is able to work on the 360?
Pale rider, Pale horse yes it does work because I have medal of honor for the original xbox but I can play it on 360 same thing with the old halos
JOELLAMA medal of honor vanguard
JOELLAMA Me to
Same
I was too young to make it past the jungle mission, and now I don't have the game, rip
The nostalgia still hit me like a brick though
Tanaka was the ultimate bro
I never knew you could shoot the torpedoes during the first mission.
hahaha really? xD
Me after beating the game and replaying it from the start: "Oh there's torpedos"
Yeah. If I recall, the more torpedoes you destroy, the longer it takes for you to get knocked overboard.
jamestheawsome100 haha
Same lol
great thing about this game. Coop campaign.
Kids nowadays don't even give a shit about the campaign I'm only 21 this is when games like call of duty and Medal of Honor were more about the story rather than online gameplay 😭how have times changed I wish they would remaster all of these
That's not exactly right, I played this game over and over when I was in 3rd grade, and the Xbox 360 was out but I could care less about it because this game wasn't on it, the graphics weren't as good. I'm not close to your age and I still love playing it
Nick Uhler bro im 12 i grew up on this game playing campaign
Kids have never heard of this game
+sean Kennedy clearly they have
sean Kennedy actually I'm 11 and I still have the game for the original xbox
this game had the best custom game modes ever back in the day
Memories with my brother....
Just started this one up again..
So much nostalgia. So glad I never got rid of my PS2 collection.
THREE HOURS!!! - AngryJoe
Lol yeah!
AFGuidesHD IMPOSTER!! lol
This brings me back so many years, thinking back on it, this game seemed like so much fun.
I remember teaching this game to my dad when I was younger and we always played together and we would get stuck in the baseball dugout place
Yeah I always got stuck there with my friend Jake. This game is pure nostalgia for me, so amazing.
Yep i remember this game. This and Call of duty finest hour. Great games
James Perkins I couldn't beat Finest Hour. First American Mission is hard
This game and medal of honor front line where always my favorites as a little kid
BIOHAZARD-42 Honestly those are the only medal of honor games I like. Wish both of them would be remade for PS4
BIOHAZARD-42 frontline is the best to me
Man, I forgot about this game! I used to play the shit out of this work my brother in the PS2 days. I can’t say how many hours I put into this back then.
You ever watch something you haven’t seen in a really long time, and as you watch it your brain slowly starts remembering what’s about to happen next and what not? That’s what’s happening as I watch this. As I watch it I slowly start remembering shit that’s coming that I played so long ago. I can still remember the feeling of being young, out of school for the weekend, and playing games like this. I know I’ll never get that feeling back again. These long plays of all these old games is just a big hit of nostalgia,
Played through this game when I was a kid. Gave my ps2 to my cousin. Biggest mistake of my life. Getting another one and this game to play through it again with my old man.
I remember playing this when I was about 10 or 11. The campaign was just epic, one of the best shooters for PS2 at the time. My four year old little brother and I used to play split screen as well. Mostly on the ship map. We’d always start arguing with each other about whether the other one had looked at the other’s screen half, i.e. cheated. Lol, such good memories with this game.
Ahh sweet nostalgia. I remember being on a trip to Honolulu when this game came out and couldn't wait to play once I got home. That trip really added to the experience.
That first mission, oh wow. Brings back so many good memories
my favorite childhood game
There goes my childhood :( i wish i knew those were the good times.
used to play this with my dad when i was younger, i miss those days.
I like how after the intro it puts you in the game immediately, like no time to set up your settings, controls, etc lol it's like welcome to the game, be ready now!
Wow, I miss this game so much! My brother and I used to play these games all the time when we were younger. Great memories.
I was playing old cods and moh's with my father when i was young. When i see it i'm literally crying :( Right now im 19. Just amazing memories :(((
I remember playing this game with my dad back when he lived with me a the grand old age of 2 this game not only has the title of my favourite game but my greatest memories with my dad ........this video has left me in tears
I remember just playing the first mission over and over again when I was little because, I couldn't finish it. Better times.
this game is pure gold I remember seeing commercials on TV for it then getting it and playing through countless times. I even used to play multiplayer team matches alot.
So many great memories with this game. Every weekend me and my dad would sit down on the Gamecube and load this game up and play the entire campaign start to finish without taking a break.
I remember my old man bought this game for our PlayStation 2 when it first came out, I was only 5. I found it in his room because he didn’t want me playing it in worry I’d have bad dreams, I played the hell out of it and he came home from work and saw me playing and then grabbed another controller and we played multiplayer. From then on he had no concern for me playing these games, even bought Grand Theft Auto Liberty City when I was like 6 or 7 lol
Tearsssss lol. I loved this game!!! I am so hype for cod WWII
this game was super popular, everybody loves ww2 and I can't believe im watching this for an hour now
my favorite MOH, the first mission being pearl harbor is amazing
Man I want to cry, too many memories.
This game was my childhood
I remember having this, Medal of Honor Frontline, and Medal of Honor Vanguard for the PS2
Medal Of Honor game series is my all-time favourite game and this game is one of them
The memories this game brings back. I loved this game so much, fall of the Philippines was the best (and most difficult) mission!
Im 15 years old and i was play this game with my dad in my 5 year. That was fantastic.. I want play again games with my dad...
Nostalgia... I remember, i play it when i was 8-9. My favorite game. I love this graphics, this music, the gun sounds, i love all in this game! I'm so sorry that this game was not ported on PS3 (but MOH: Frontline was ported on PS3) and PC. I want to see remaster of this game, a game of golden era of WWII games. I love this game more than Call of Duty.
Loved this game back in the day.
Only Medal of Honor game I love.
Definetly
What about airborne? I thought it was pretty good.
Frontline feels the same for me but just with germans
BenzoOfficial frontline was a good one.
Me and my dad used to play this over and over and over again, and yes I beat the game when I was 5. For some reason I was always good a figuring things out. I have continued gaming and played pro fortnite for a while. But call of duty type games were always the stuff for me. My childhood rests on these games. Thanks for the video👍🏼😍🤗
I remember seeing the release trailer at E3 that year. Was hyped to get it after that. One of my favorite MOH games.
Oh god i forgot this game existed i remember playing the series on PS2. One of my favorite games.
the score of this game is outstanding.. games dont make music anymore like this
Star wars does lol
The first and only game I had for the ps2 in a while. I should play it again now that I understand english
This game was so much fun
I love that game! Hearing R. Lee Ermeys voice is awesome! God bless that MARINE, OORAH!
what made rising sun and some other oldies so good was that these games truly had a soul
the charisma of the game is more important than fancy graphics
Holy nostalgia. Thank you for the memories
this is what I played as a kid.
Rising sun, Frontline, Vanguard, and if I remember I played allied assault and pacific assault but very little of it.
oh my god i remember the old days with my cousin playing 2 hours multiplayer medal of honor rising sun i wanna bought it again
OldGamerTv Rc me too with my cousins nostalgia *_*
:) :)
miss these days when games actually gave you a challenge
the sniper rifpe is seriously underpowered in this game
it's funny how you can eat the soup in one of the buildings you go into on fall of the Philippines
I feel like this game was just one of many childhood games 95% of kids played, This was one of my favorite games. I was really good at this game for being 7.
The old days where you couldn't even reload an m1. good times.
One of the most underated games had it since 5 years old and still have it at 18
that part on the train bridge was amazing
One of my favorites games from ps2, i have so many memories playing when i am kid, this beginning in the ship is so nostalgic ❤️
I was 18 when this was released
Holy shit that part with the twin fifties on the gun boat.
Nostálgico demai, voltei a minha infância
Only legends will recognize ^^^
My father showed me how to play this game and it produces me so much nostalgia
I played this back in the 2000's at it was really good - especially loved the jungle fighting .
This is one of the best games EA EVER! made probarly top 10.
Damn son. The nostalgia.
i wish they would remake the whole sires
this game was my childhood. And my goodness I loved it.
I remember playing this as a kid, good times.
Nossa esse joga traz saudades, ele foi o primeiro jogo que joguei na vida, era muito bom na época.
Played these games since day 1. This over a was rhe most fun and had the best soundtrack
I remember playing on the PS2 and I never had a hard drive so I would keep on playing the game over and over again
I play this when I was 10 I cant forget the pearl harbor and also the fall of the philippines mission takes forever to finish hahaha
Legendary. They don’t make them like this anymore.
They don't make them like this anymore. You watch the Arizona get destroyed, sail around it as it sinks in what really happened, there's bodies everywhere and then you go 0-60 as more Zeros come tearing in. This is how a game sucks you in emotionally.
wow, this is 2003 game and very successful
Played this with my Mom non-stop 24/7 in like kindergarten - grade 1
One Trick Rengo same dude. good ass memories.
I used to play with my dad, I didn't take the game seriously, I just want to use the turrets
Your mom is dope AF.
sweet memories of playing this. it really shows what war is.
Oh the memories. I remember playing this game while smelling the turkey on Thanksgiving.
Ta hra, byla a je prostě perfektní👍🏻
Né takové slátaniny a lži, co teď dělají!
I remember my dad bought this game for himself and I never saw him play it. But as I got older I wanted to play it, but the problem was that I was banned because my mum said it was "too violent" so whenever I was home alone I would crack out the game and start playing. I remember it took me ages to find that tank cog in the second mission.
One of my favorite games of all time
Damn this brings me back to my childhood, I adore this game
