It's called "The Hook". It's a way to fight the extra doubling of weight for every "G", and his breathesare very quick, as he releases some pressure as the G's rise. The "Hook" also keeps blood in his brain as he uses muscles to hold blood in his brain so he doesn't pass out. Although temporary squeezing of muscles to hold blood in his upper body and brain to keep functioning, and if you do release for a split second, it's called losing it, as you lost the blood in vital area'sof the body. It takes 3's@@darensmith1694😊

3 seconds before passing out if not enough blood is in your brain to function properly. Everything to do with the brain including heart rate from 0 beats to 300 bps. As you heard the SOS signal for a moment after he temporarily passed out, his body, and brain started working again, and SOS stopped as the sensors recognized he was back.
The suit also helps tremendously squeeze his legs to keeps blood in his upper body.
In a dog fight passing out means defeat, and you need to know your limits to out maneuver the enemy.😊

I boxed and did martial arts as a kid/teen and one of the only times I’ve ever lost consciousness was when my uncle grabbed me by the ankles and started spinning me around. I woke up on the ground and had a dream I was in Vietnam 😂 I’m not even joking. The only time I’ve ever lost consciousness from being punched was when I was 15 my dad caught me stealing money from him to purchase marijuana so he punched me in my jaw, I happened to be standing next to our staircase when he punched me so after he punched me my head bounced off the solid wood staircase, I remember dropping to my knee still on the way down then I gained consciousness being dragged up the stairs by my father, I was just kind of getting my head right as my dad dragged me into my room which was upstairs I remember standing at the edge of my bed when my dad threw another punch to my chest which dropped me onto my bed. I remember laying there seeing fuzziness looking up at the ceiling of my bedroom and thinking “I’m taking a fuckin nap” which I proceeded to do lol I woke up from my nap a few hours later with a pounding headache.
Before anyone tries to criticize my father he’s a great man if not one of the best men I’ve ever known I couldn’t have asked for a better father he was and still is everything I could have ever wanted in a father and I say that as a 35 year old man with a child of my own.
My fathers actions weren’t right but they didn’t have in a vacuum they happened as a direct result/consequence of my actions which were dead wrong I was stealing from my father that’s literally biting the hand that feeds you so we were both wrong and we worked past that situation.
That was the 1 and only time my father ever put his hands on me in that manner and he is still so remorseful for his actions that day that he will randomly bring it up in tears to apologize to me even though he’s apologized many times and knows that I don’t have any resentment towards him I personally think I deserved what he did so I hope nobody takes my story and looks at my father badly because he doesn’t deserve it

I was a weapons guy on F-15Es in North Carolina in the late 90s. About once a quarter they would give a ride to a few people. They called them incentive flights. I remember being jealous of the people that got a ride until one day they bring this guy back. They had to role a B-2 stand which is a stand that you can pump to lift to get him out. It took about a half hour to get him out of the plane. The guy missed work for like 3 days. When he got back, I tried to give him crap about it but his sincere warning to me about he felt like almost died kept me from not wanting to go up anymore and just appreciate the guys that do this for a living. Those pilots really are elite.

The guy in this video couldn't sustain consciousness for 8 seconds. I spent some time searching the Internet for sustained duration for each G force level, and there are many complexities like which direction the G force is being applied (eyes in, eyes out, eyes down, etc.) but from what I saw the highest G force people can sustain in the "eyes down" direction, which is the direction an airplane would accelerate you in, for 2 solid minutes, is 4G.

G suits really helped pilots when they were invented. They help to squeeze the lower body and force the blood to stay up in the brain. It's the blood pressure crash that makes you pass out not lack of oxygen in the blood itself. Insufficient pressure shuts down intracranial profusion that drives the oxygen transfer from blood to cerebral tissue.
Ride along doesn't get to wear a G suit :) Mainly cause you need to be trained on it, experience it, and of course have one fitted for you. Also it's more fun for them to pass out XD

I did 4.5 in a centrifuge-not a problem. It just felt a little more intense than some park rides I've been on. 6.5 made me feel nauseous if I moved my head at all. 9Gs felt like they strapped me to a Saturn rocket. If that had been longer than 2 seconds, I would've passed out like him. It took me a few hours to feel normal again.

I'm proud of you, Sam! ❤🎉 This takes a real toll on the body! I just don't think people realize the seriousness of this maneuver. Keep on flying high brother, Semper Fi!

    • @p_nutt

G stand for gravity. So at 7Gs there is 7 times the gravity on Sam's body. It is very hard to pump blood to your brain at that high of G forces and most of the time you pass out. Squeezing the legs is you raising your body's blood pressure to help push blood to the brain.

    • @DespaceMan
      @DespaceMan Рік тому +3

@@p_nutt That's why they have pressure bags that inflate around your legs to squeeze the blood back up, also staying fit lots of cycling or jogging helps.

I got lucky to experience an F-15 ride and experienced the exact same thing. Was up for about an hour & it was the most exilerating and excruciating thing I've ever experienced in my life. Could barely walk afterwards. I was so tired. Mad respect for fighter pilots

When you go up at top speed, you lose consciousness and then your memory returns.

Top speeds are not the issue. G forces. Combination of speed and sudden pulls. Get it right next time!! . . . . 😂 jk
